Hello! I just ordered a carbon fiber film sample (just enough to cover the back of a note.) and i was wondering if anyone has a diagram or stencil that i can download, print, lay on top of the carbon fiber, and cut. thanks

Try this.
Just keep in mind the AT&T version says Galaxy Note beneath the camera. Not Samsung at the bottom.

I think the international "Samsung" lettering is also embossed instead of raised like the ATT's "Galaxy Note" lettering

The "Samsung" on the International Version is also raised lettering. Orange, will these work for you? I could trace my back cover outline and cutouts and post a PDF later if it would help?

Just put the kids down a few minutes ago. Will go to my office in a bit.
Updated: Here you go! This PDF is a sheet of copy paper and the actual tracing of the GNote back cover. I printed it out just to make sure it is actual size. The speaker grill is approximate since my pen would not go through the grill to the paper. If you use the box or slightly smaller than the box you will be good. I hope this helps you.

Well I got the carbon fiber today and... I cut it wrong. I cut it do the s pen slot, speaker grill, and flash on reverse sides. I'll try to piece it back together in the meantime...

This is for the international version of the gnote.
Speaker, s pen, camera and led cut outs are identical.
Bottom tabs are in perfect positions
Top and the sides the tabs were a little wide and a bit off on position. with a exacto knife i was able to trim excess off the tabs so it lined up to snap in. Some of the tabs ended up a lot smaller than the stock size but still had that click sound when i put it on. Once it was on it was pretty secure and snug. Compared to the stock cover. its a bit easier to take off and had a good feel to it. its also thicker and kinda have a less slippery feel.
I am pretty satisfied with the product build. It was nicely crafted. Only issue is the red looks more pink to me than red and it was made for the international version.
Hows the signal compare to the stock? Aluminum and other metals can block radio waves. It is a real problem, not sure how you could avoid it with that cover.

Ive havent noticed any diffrence personally with signal loss using this back cover and from what ive read on the international forum there were very minimal to none when using cover

its thicker. i'd say original + half of original is the thickness. enough to sink the camera lens down a bit.
Im hoping I can get all my battery covers to work like yours. Do you have before and after pics of the cuts you made? I got 4 international covers after they pretty much confirmed the size and shape were identical. I had no idea they would make the tabs different I have a really nice carbon fiber patterned one that feels like leather that I can't get to fit right. I just dont want to go and start cutting tabs and mess one up and it not fit properly

I hope someone sells these for the AT&T Note. I ordered one of these and tried to cut it to fit but ended up with the cover not properly holding/latching on half of one side.
Just wondering did you detach the nfc part of the original and put it on the red one?
I noticed that most of the product pages show the Carbon Note and not the White Note when modeling cases. I thought I'd create a thread so that people who have already bought cases for their White Note could show off how theirs looks - maybe help a few of us that are undecided. Try to post a picture that shows the thickness and front lip/bezel,or if you have already posted in another thread, link to it here to make it more visible.

From the Intl Note forum, SGP Ultra Capsule White. Think that is the one I am going to order. Only wish it was available on Amazon Prime, so far SGP only has the Ultra Thin up for the LTE on Prime... but Cit.E has it with free shipping.

Those look much nicer than the other straps in this forum for the S. The only thing is the rubber bands seem to stick out a bit on the sides, almost as if they aren't tight enough.
Any plans for a metal band? Where can we buy the leather one?

Anyone handy with sewing leather? It looks like all you need is a rubber o-ring from home depot and sew the leather straps onto it. Can probably do it with metal as well if you just bend the end pieces onto the o-ring. $40 isn't too bad, but the $20 shipping kind of tanks it for me. Plus the o-ring looks like it's too large and doesn't stretch enough, making it stick out on the sides instead of lying flush inside the groove.
Any word on any other options? That site won't show how to buy them. I know the gear s is older but it's far better than its newer generations replacements.
Any way to get a leather band for it would be greatly appreciated. Google so far had let me down accept for the cheaply made stock holster meshed with metal and "leather" bands.

It's the black glossy bar surrounding the camera/sensors at the top. Google calls it the "Visor" (marketing term, I guess)
Wouldn't these block the laser focus?

if that's the case - all of this hub-bub over what to cover it with is invalidated if we can just change the plate behind it. would be sweet if you could re-position the notification LED to illuminate the back panel.
I like the black bar and I'll embrace it. Went with the Frost to emphasize it. Besides, those chamferred edges on the Frost was just too sexy to pass up.

I Purchased it From a Company Called Metro Styling.
You can Google them and find their site. they have a lot to choose from.
I purchased 3x 1squarefoot sheets. Came out to $10 with shipping.

I really like the look of this! If I still had my s5 I would consider doing something similar. Really like how you covered the chrome bezel also

Hey my Apologies man I've been extremely busy and haven't been on xda much as I've pretty much gave up on root for note 4. Ill post these after I get some good lighting to take the photos.

No this took about 10 minutes. I do not wrap the inside of the band. I cut a price of vynl the length and width of the watch leaving about a half inch every way. Cut that in half and laid it on each ending of the opening on the game for the watch (with the watch out). Heated it and then took an exacto knife to cut it how needed. Because it's not on the bottom or inside of the band it feels just as it would without it.
