I bought a xperia mini pro ( sk17i ) mobile device three days ago. my service provider is called Airtel Sri Lanka. The phone was automatically configured to access the internet by the service provider. After browsing the android market I downloaded two apps to it! they downloaded fine but after that I had trouble downloading apps from the market. The device showed me an error message that "package file is invalid" and canceled the download. I rested the phone to factory settings, did an update to it but the problem still exists. I googled this but all I found was to root the device and factory rest it! I cannot root it since it would void my warranty. please help me with this issue!

Why am I getting this "item cannot be installed in your country" / Play Store
Not sure what happened but all of a sudden, few days ago, when I tried to installa new app I got this error message. It doesn't happen when I am updating existing apps, only when installing new apps. It downloads the file, but when installation starts this message pops up. Happened with two apps so far.
And yes, I am in the U.S.
Any idea?

What ROM and kernel are you using?
Im getting the same damn error! Even with market enabler supposedly working.Anyone found a solution. care to share
FWIW a couple days ago the Play Store suffered an issue where you could not 'purchase' free apps, if you tried to install from your PC, nothing happened, if you tried to install from your device, you got the following error "Error Completing Purchase'. It was fixed after a couple hours. I wonder if the Play Store is having issues again or if it's checking devices differently now?
After Googling this, it's a known issue, I could not find any sure fire ways to fix it. The first post I found detailing it was in July 2011 on the Galaxy Tab (fix was to enable VPN) also there is this post here: http://www.thespicygadgematics.com/2012/03/how-to-fix-solve-this-item-cannot-be.html
Some android apps developer use filters, most of the cases these filters use for non-USA citizens. However, its a regional restriction, there can be "Device restrictions, ROM restriction, career filters etc".

Hi.
Some months ago, I was buy at one china online store a mobile phone with android 4.0.4
I'm very satisfied with them, and the phone is very cool without any problem.
But, yesterday, it start to being stupid, and crash many times...
So, i made them a reset and try again
Many problems are solved, but I cant open no one application.
All the apps (using sqlite i presume) give me a error: Unfortunaly the adobe reader has stoped.
This error, for 99% of the apps.
Fopr example, the ES file explorer I can open very well.
How can I solve this problem? What can I do for open applications?
Withou apps, the phone is garbage
playstore is giving the error "package file is invalid" for almost all the apps i download.
i've cleared cache, restored it to default, used a different apk and finally restored it back to factory settings. still the same error.
also tried this method
1). Log into Google Play Store
(using a browser)
2). Scroll to the bottom of the page
& locate "My Orders & Settings"
3). Click on the Settings Tab
4). Assign a "Nickname" to your
phone
5). Check "Shown in Menus"
6). Save settings
7). Return to the Play Store and
download Apps as normal!

The phone is not rooted. using stock everything.
Try formatting your sd card or try using another sd card.......the main problem is of storage......either your sd card cannot store it properly.....or your net connection is problematic.....because Google's server cannot be down ever...

yeah maybe yyou have problem with internet connection :S
Have u tried connecting to Wifi and then try downloading apps I had the same issue but when I tried again it was all normal
I dont think the problem is with my Internet connection. My sister has a galaxy r and if i download the same app on her phone, it installs perfectly.
I only use wifi to download apps.
Will try formatting the sdcard and tell you if that helps
try rooting it
i also have that problem before rooting on my xperia neo l. after rooting my phone, the error never appeared. thanks god

From what i understand, you tried downloading an app and the download crashed so you factory reset your phone so maybe this time you could download it. Now that you have downloaded it you are receiving an error message saying that you dont have a reliable internet connection. May I ask what this app was you tried downloading and the model of your phone and service provider? A likely problem is that you might have granted administrator access to this 3rd party application and that it is spamming you with these error codes, or that you may have a virus that has disabled your internet connection. I advise for you to first uninstall this app and delete any files it may have left behind in case it is a virus and to remove admin permissions if it has any and to remove it as soon as possible.
