How to format my ace?? - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

hi all my ace is experiencing problems with battery and i don't know how to format it to stock ..any help?

What problem ?
Herpderp Defy.

If you don't know how to revert to a stock ROM, then maybe you shouldn't be doing custom ROMs yet.
But I'll give this to ya:
Flash a stock firmware through ODIN.

the battery level is bugged like hell ..charge max to 50% won't go any higher charging very weird ...1 second 33% 10seconds later 55% u unplug charge it drop very fast 52% in 1second drops to 20% later...i full wipe . wipe stat no use..flash other rom no use

how about code *2767*3855#.?

omg man i am panicking ...i tried to go cwm it says ramdump mode arm9 mode on top of the samsung logo ..oh crap!!!!

This is first time u use custom rom right? Firstly charge it about 8hour then see, even i use cm7 now see when i charge it goes up very fast, but it doesnt mean it full lol...charge it atleast 3-4hour then see setting>about phone>status....if full here then unplug and see again your battery....
If in setting>about phone>status says charged...it mean your battery not yet full!

No problem, all this does for you is makes your battery readings more accurate.
also, for most doing that once won't give you TOO real effect.
So after you do that, redo it once more, when you have time, and it should be good.
Flashing roms at 100% usually works best from beginning.

Don't talk without knowing what you're saying. As desperate as he is, making a joke would lead to him taking it seriously.
Anyway, calibrate your battery by CWM or just let your phone charge to 100% full. When it SAYS 100%, it doesn't mean it. Leave it charging for about 1 more hour after it says 100%.
Dont be too serious man...
hmm.. that strange.. i'm using infinity v2 by nims11 but doesn't face such problem.
tried using battery calibration didn't work and potentially made it worst, how do i do it in cwm because i read that's the proper way of doing it

Infinity is based on cm7 roms. Cm7 is a battery sucker. U can try SGSII by robinandroid. It is based on stock, but gud battery life.

To properly calibrate battery you should do a long and accurate procedure. See this.

Can apply this to ace?
trying that method tonight.. wish it would help extend my battery power much further than 1 1/2 day..
The information is really screwed up. First my phone was just sitting there overnight at 90 % woke up and now it was about 50%. Phone was down to 17% plugged it in to charge it jumped to 60%. This is really infuriating and i cant even get a hour on moderate usage. Tried calibration didnt help or did something wrong i really dont know i give up

Battery percentage isn't that accurate. You need to see how long it actually lasts, mine goes down to 80 % in the first 1/2 hr of 3g use then stays there for a while, but in the end i can have it last for 17 hrs with pretty high usage. Try and see! And remember battery is fully charged when in settings/info/ status is displayed "charged"
Sent from my Galaxy Ace on Ice Cream Sunday Final
mine only get 8-10hrs normal usage. go down to 80% fast, slower down to 40%, and 20%, but much much slower down from 15% to 5%.
touchdown sync every 4 hrs, internet browsing, whatsapp, twitter.
on the battery use, its always cell standby, phone idle, and display take top three.
you can save the battery for about 24hrs when you use 2G only. with 3G, i don't think so. (I haven't tried this tweak http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436367 ).
Try charge to full 100% with the phone on...about - status say full
Power off, enter cwm recovery not while phone on enter cwm manager, use the home+power button method
Wipe battery stats, power on the phone (usually battery now 95-97%) then charge it to full 100% again...unplug n enjoy
I get 17 hour with this method with heavy usage...

doesn't work for my ACE.
when phone ON, I charge it until 100%. then I turn off the phone, and keep charge it until it say FULLY CHARGE. go to CWM, and wipe battery status.
my ACE's battery still run for 8-10hrs only.
or may be my battery need to be replaced with the new one...
You don't have to wipe battery stats every time... after deleting them you have to do some full charge/full discharge cycles. If you don't do this the calibration won't be useful.

Have you do battery calibration right?
Use your ace until the battery getting low, then wipe battery stats, and use your ace until it turns off by its self. Finally, charge your phone (power off) 'til full. Do it twice.
I recommend you to use battery calibration app. Get it in market.

Then try flashing stock rom. If the problem still persist, I guess there's something wrong with the battery. Buy a new battery, or if you're not sure just bring your ace to Samsung Service Centre and let them see the problem.

hey guys I really need help here :crying:
I will tell you guys from the veeerrryyyy begining
my phone is 2 years old (on my hand at least),and there is no problem untill about 3 days ago.
my ROM is GDX 029, have run it for months, no problem. but on that freaking day, when i charge my phone it takes 3 hours to make the LED light become green (battery level 90%++) when in normal condition only take about approx 1,5 hours. it seems very fishy, so i touched it, but it really is heated ( normally not ) and when i unplug the charger and left it to be cooled down for about 5 minutes the battery fell from 92% to 1%. I googled it and some people said that it was kernel, so I reflash the kernel and ROM, charged it once more and walla it heated again. no helping at all:crying::crying::crying:
i have flashed some other ROM and the original SE ROM but it doesnt help at all. can someone tell me how to fix it :crying::crying::crying::crying:

well, changing kernels and roms ( without undervolting and overclocking because that makes the phone unstable sooner or later or even the battery dies faster ) and calibrating battery, if it doesn't work for you then it really is RIP battery :S.

Help! Phone shuts down at intermediate battery levels

I have optimax v2.0 ROM along with kappa kernel v1.6 installed on my lww..
My phone battery went dead recently and then my phone shuts down when I have 11% or 12% battery remaining...
Sometimes the charging profile shows a immediate change..like suddenly 52% battery from 35% then 65% from 55%..:what:
I have tried wiping battery stats and all methods for recalibration..
The phone gets stuck at 76% charging..it shows AC power connected but 76% for half an hour
I usually overclock my phone @1.2 or 1.4GHz..could this be a reason for this...?..
My phone temp also remains a bit high I think around 40-50 deg C..is it bad..?
Please help me out guyz...I m goin mad..:banghead:
Thanks..

i have exactly a same prob...the battery calibration has messed up...u can do tgis method.
1.completely drain off the battery
2.enter cwm.and wipe the battery's stat.
3.turn off the phone(mostly our cwm doesn't hve turn off option..in my case..i just pull out the battery)and do a offline charging..leave it overnight.
4.turn on the phone(when green led came out)unplugged the charger..leave it about 20 minutes.it call a bump charging.plug it back..it should calibrated itself
i dont hve found a solid solution yet..but this method work for me..and dun want be responsible if any battery explode.phone disappearing..and any kind of self destruction activity..this is only my suggeation..xD
forget to mention you that this method dun 100% solve this prob..but its getting better from 16%>0% drop..and now 4%>0% drop..but its sometimes random...its been a week to finding a solid solution for this jerk..
i have to collect more information..this is not easy fix-like just wipe batterystats.bin and done..i hve read an article that wiping batterystats dun solve anything..(but i wiped batterystat too)..but it help a bit..
some prople says dis is not a big deal..but for me.its so annoying.:banghead:
i need u detail for me to make a conclusion and try to find a solid solution for dis prob.
.
1.how old ur battery/phone was.?
2did u heavily use the phone when it plugged-in.?
3.how often did u do an offline charging.?
4how often did u flashing ROM/mod etc..
5.when u flash something,the phone plugged-in or discharging.?
6.did you always draining the battery until it's last blood.?
7.what is the average temperature of ur battery.?
im not a dev or an expert..but i do curious about this..

Wiping battery stats has no effect.
1.Battery 1 year old
2.1-2 times a week
3.rarely..once in 2 weeks or so..
4.I used to flash frequently like 6-7 times a week..but for the past 2 months...I found a rom and kernel that suits me..
5.discharging i think..I flash using cwm not flashtool...
6.rarely..once in a 3 weeks..
7.should be around 35-40 deg C at times it touches
50 deg C,when I use it heavily..too many apps along with charging..
Btw the battery % is fine now,I stopped oc,now at stock speed..I drained it completely a few times and charged it without interruption..then problem disappeared..

nice to know that ur prob is solved..yeahh..wiping battery stat dun makr anything at all...ur phone should calibrated itself..
