[Q] Need Root - Confirmation Pls

Been reading the guides but I need confirmation. Pls correct me if I'm wrong.
my goal is to get ROOT on the stock ROM and the ability to unroot if needed.
In order to obtain root, I must:
- Unlock bootloader
- Install CWR
- Apply the Superuser file or install a custom ROM with root
If I go through this method, can I reverse everything? Like re-locking the bootloader, remove CWR, and unroot?
Am I missing something simple just to simply root the device? Pls advise. THX in advance.

Rooting part is correct.
To unroot, relock bootloader and flash the stock ROM. Simple as that.

Thanks for the confirmation. Will prepare to root now.
There's a but..
If you want to relock it it will say Relocked and not Locked like how it came from the factory.
Wait....I sent this with Tapatalk?

[Q] Unroot Stock ROM

I have a rooted HTC One with the stock ROM on it. I need to relock and reflash just to delete all data. It is as easy as locking and hard booting the device? Just asking cause I don't see a PHM98.ZIP file in root to load from bootloader which is what I had on my Rezound.
Thanks in advance.

No,If u unroot your phone, u can use your custom Rom, it would not take back to stock Rom. Btw, why do you want to unroot your phone?
But if u relock bootloader, then u can't use or install any custom Rom. Your phone wouldn't boot with relocked bootloader having custom Rom & custom kernel installed

Because I lost my warranty when i root it. I thought to unroot it, and they won't notice.
And when they prepare it, i'll root it again.

No! If u unroot it, still your warranty is lost..
They always check the phone's bootloader status & if u relock it, still they would know about it as the bootloader screen would show "relocked" instead of "locked" . They determine everything by bootloader ,so if u unroot it still your warranty is lost, they do not check the supersu or rooted phone. They always check bootloader status.
Still u can try, only your luck can save your warranty.(1% chance)

[Q] Re-Rooting HTC One S

So, I was recently considering re-rooting my phone again, as I tried to re-lock the carrier and un-root the phone so I was able to update to Jellybean. Unfortunately, that didn't work, so I am stuck with the re-locked bootloader.
My phone is the HTC One S (Android 4.0.4, Sense 4.1).
Is there any way to re-unlock the bootloader without wiping my phone again? Or is there a simple way I can do this from my phone? I understand how to root my phone, but I don't know if my bootloader is a problem or not, or what I have to do about it.
Thanks

Easiest way to root and some questions.

So read this thread [Guide] Safe bootloader unlock, restore DRM, custom recovery, root, bootloader relock
Is this the easiest way to root as it appears complex(sorry not very technically minded).
Also once rooted will I be able to update the tablet or it becomes impossible please?

No, easiest way to root is to unlock bootloadrer and flash custom rom or root stock by flashing twrp, kernel, and supersu.
You need drm keys in case if you want to get back unrooted stock.so do you really need them? In order to restore drm functionality on rooted device, use universal drm restore patch.
With unlocked bootloder, to update custom, use twrp, to update stock, use flashtool.
