Hi,
I have a problem concerning the market application I installed, it worked well until yesterday and when I tried to open it yesterday night, it opened and immediately closed after (no message, only a blank screen and return to the previous screen). I can see the process is still running (long pressed the home icon and launched "ps aux" to be sure) but I just can't do anything, when I try to relaunch it it automatically closes after (I can see the text "loading" while it is closing)
I have UrukDroid 0.7 btw ...
Thank you for your help.

Using a program like "alogcat" I figured that the authentication failed (CANCEL token or something like that) which explains why it failed to continue. Make sure you still have your Google Account (Settings > Accounts & sync), if it is not the case, try to solve this, I didn't manage to do it and finally did a full reinstallation...
Did you try the "market fix" ?
Basically you have to erase data/cache of android market app and android framework.
and BTW Do you see all apps on your market?
I don't have some apps like google goggles which should be always available :/
I'm having the same problem, where the market app just shows a white screen for a second then closes.
When I look in Accounts and sync, there's no account info there.
The only thing Add account seems to do is for adding an Exchange Server.
(Ah - found that somehow my Google Services Framework app was missing. Found an APK posted and re-installed it, now market works.)
So I found this in the Evo forums and it loads and launches fine on my Galaxy Tab. However, when I go to launch a movie or show, it doesn't crash but says that the service could not be started.
I'm not sure why this is, but maybe it has something to do with our device id. If anyone can fix that, we may have something that works. I haven't rooted my Tab yet so I can't do the modification myself. Here is the link to the apk:

Same here mine will open everything. Let me choose something to watch and start loading but then pops up and says Netflix cannot be reached.
I am having a bit of a weird situation and I was wondering if other's are experienceing it as well.
I am trying to install Go Contacts onto my wife's Atrix, and for some reason, I cannot install the app on her phone because the market says that it is unavailable for this device. Now I just installed this app on my Atrix only a few days ago so something is wrong.
I figured I would take a break and fix this problem later, but when I went back to search for the app in the market, it doesn't show up anymore. When I search 'Go Contacts' or "Go Contact" all I get are themes with no link to the app.
When I go to the Go Dev Team's website and click download, I get an error in the market that the url can't be found. The strange thing is, when I am signed into the market under my username, I can load the Go Contacts page (with a link through the GDT's website, still can't find it in the market), and the page says that the app is compatible with my Atrix. If I copy that link into another browser with my wife's username signed into the market, I get a link that says the url can't be found.
I know that I can just pull the apk off my phone and install it on her's, but then I don't get the auto updates from the market, plus I don't like when things don't work right.
There was an update to Go Dialer yesterday and it seemed pretty buggy (only showing 50 of my 200 contacts). They might have pulled it to fix up the problems
Correct, it's back and fixed.
Swifted from my Atrix.
I was certain this would be answered already but couldn't find one...
I've flashed hundreds of ROMs and have always been able to go to market.android.com and install apps (even ones that said "INSTALLED") but I just flashed a new ROM and now if I click on an app it says it's already installed on the device. Is there anyway to reset this data on the website?
EDIT:
Ugh. Searched for 30 minutes before posting this and couldn't find an answer - literally the next thing I read had the answer:

Login to your Google dashboard; from a PC preferebly. Else from cell is also fine.
There, scroll down to "Android market" and click "Installed applications"
This will open android market, with your already installed apps list, under orders tab. Click the 'Settings' tab here.
Hopefully you'll see your device listed here, but the nickname will be missing. At least that's what I saw. Edit and add a nickname, save changes.
Thanks ..just encountered the problem...I'm always switching ROM (very addicting) & 1st time I encountered this problem as well.
Yikes...My device is not listed ...Guess I have to add them manually from my phone

This happens to me when I switch ROM format or smartphone, but sending the install again, it works.
Galaxy S4 Solution
I had to reinstall ("repair") the software on my Galaxy S4. When all was complete, I had the same problem as the OP. I fixed it by:
Going to the app store via my phone--"play store" app.
Clicking the menu button (bottom left on the phone).
Selecting My Apps.
The missing apps had an X and just said free or whatever.
Clicking the app opens the window to install.
Obvious from there....

I am considering buying a Samsung Chromebook 3 which based on the following link can support Android apps. Now, the issue is that it says that one must do a file system or profile migration in order to support the apps. However, I cannot find any information on how to do this migration. Google has instructions for Education and Enterprise customers but nothing for regular consumer.
How do I do this? I, of course, Googled how to do this and I end up with nothing. I need to know how I can install the Google Play store and run Android apps. I have instructions on how to install Google Play but nothing on the migration that according to Google is required.
Please help!
I have a Chromebook 3 and am running Android apps with no issue. It's fairly simple to do and now only requires the steps here: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/get-android-apps-on-your-chromebook in a nutshell, this simply involves first open settings -> select about > under or around the "check for updates" button, click the "More info" link. An option will be presented to change to the beta channel. Select that and wait for the update to download and install (in my experience, the beta channel is way better than the stable channel anyway). After you restart, go right back to Settings, and scroll down until you see the checkbox for enabling the Google Play Store. Agree and sign in using your Google account. That's it. I've enjoyed using many Play Store apps seamlessly on the Samsung Chromebook 3.
Solution found
After half an hour on Google chat and Asus I got an answer. Very simple.
1) Click on your user picture in the lower right
2) Click the Settings cog
3) Scroll down to the easily missed "google play store" section. It's the seventh section down on mine and is only a single line section.
4) Click on "turn on"
Then just wait for it to do it's thing. It will take a minute or two and then will launch the Google Play Store app. Mine came up and said it wasn't responding but I clicked on "wait" and it popped up about 5 seconds later. I was able to install 2 "android" apps right off the bat. Super easy and quick. I hope this helps others searching for this answer.
Incidentally...if you don't have a touch screen Chromebook it seems that the arrow keys do your swyping for you in android apps. Kind of counter-intuitive though...I had to use the right arrow to "swype" LEFT. But it wasn't too difficult to figure out.
