Now I know there is a thread about getting Timescape to work on a Miui rom for the Fascinate, I also know that you need the sony home launcher to get Timescape widgets to work.
What I was wondering is if there is a way to intergrate the Timescape widgets and system into the Miui UI but with the Miui launcher and for the Fascinate? Not just get it to work on the rom like a apk but intergration.
Now ive seen a Miui for sony phones but the launcher is still sonys, very ugly imo.
Ive looked everywhere but havent seen anything about doing this, Im no dev but is this possible?

Timescape seems a lot stable as set as the default launcher with root than it was before.
How does it work for you guys?
Does anyone know how I can upgrade timescape to the one in R2XXXX firmware?
I hear that version allows you to change the theme, and is mournful stable.
While I'm not new to Modding, I have searched high and low for the Gmail Timescape and Photo Timescape outside of the market.
I own a Samsung Fascinate, and with a little effort, have the Sony Timescape app working, but the market doesn't recognize this phone as compatible. I've also Googled for several market workarounds to no avail; I have tried the Astro trick and several build.prop edits.
Could someone with an Xperia please go to the market and download then host the apks so I can try and get them working on this device?
The apps are free so I don't see why this would be an issue? Thanks.

What rom are you running?
May I ask what UI you are running? and what you had to do to get Timescape running? Im currently on Miui and having Timescape on it also would be pretty nice. Ive looked around and found roms of Timescape on the fassy but I just want the ability to run it on my current rom is that what your trting to accomplish?

Timescape for CM7 | MiUI
Thanks ...sorry should have done a better job at searching.
I'm using an sony launcher from Arc,but the timescape widget is only working for the home.apk you provided.I would like to know what changes did you make to the launcher for timescape widget to work on it...just in case I'll attach my home the one where the widget isn't working...I'm running .42 firmware on Neo with Miui built from android 2.3.7 and cm sources
To summarize:
I'm on Samsung Fascinate running CM7 (7.1.0).
Timescape v0.9.3
Timescape widget 1.0
Sony Home v1.0.B4
Infinite View 0.9.1
Numbers don't seem to match up, but I've never had an Xperia, so tbh I don't know.
Main goal was to have someone pull the Timescapes from the market and link them so that non-xperia users, like myself, can try to get the full UI experience working. =)
I don't believe the actual timescape app itself is on the market. If its the APKs you are looking for, you can try the thread for the arconium rom. It's basically a tweaked stock rom, but timescape is actually included as an optional add-on instead of with the rom.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the ICS Launcher (by Syndicate Apps) and the ICS theme (by Sonny Sekhon). Are they both the same thing aesthetically or is one more accurate? I've never seen ICS so I don't know how to tell?
the ics launcher you mention is a port of the launcher for use on gb and lower has the looks and almost acts like stock ics (but buggy ), a theme changes the appearance of the launcher eg adw launcher , changes the looks of the apps , but does not act like the launcher eg widget in drawer etc ...
the launcher you mention and the theme are two different items , themes are more for getting the appearance opposed to the functionality of ics launcher , the launcher is almost fully like ics ,so maybe ure better of flashing a ics rom oppsed to using the launcher or theme the two are pretty mediocre opposed to the real thing in my opinion , i have a ics rom on my phone runs ok ...
Ok. Thanks. It's good advice to get a ROM but unfortunately none of them for my phone have a working camera and that's crucial to me. I'll stick with the launcher.
i i upgraded today my arc into ICS and im looking for the xperia S apps for ARC like the widgets, the music player and so but for the ICS version.
is it even available?
also can you guys give me the original home.apk of ICS because i like it more then sony's one.
thank you
Stock ICS Launcher
There are a few versions of the Stock ICS Launcher available on the Play Store/Market for download
I believe "Apex Launcher" may be something you want, or "Nova Launcher" do a search for both or either
For a comparison - Google "Apex vs Nova Launcher" and click the first link
Alternatively, you can get the Trebuchet, the stock ICS Launcher from CyanogenMod 9, I have attached the zip file that you should flash with Clockwork Recovery, I think Trebuchet is the fastest, but I just use stock Sony Ericsson Home and so haven't really looked into it
*BARE THIS IN MIND*
When using any launcher other than Sony Ericsson Stock, certain widgets will become unavailable, such as the music widget and the Timescape addon, as well as maybe other things - this is what stops me from switching from stock home
Hope I helped
- Jack
*EDIT*
For Xperia S apps and widgets, take a look at this thread, it says Arconium v7 but it's likely to work on any stock based roms - I personally cannot guarantee this although you should be fine

Hello
I'm a big fan of Samsungs Hardware but never liked touchwiz. The hings that annoy me most are the launcher and the Email(Exchange) App.
Is there a way to use the Vanilla ICS pendants without switching completely to cyanogen (when it once will be available)? I would like too keep the few nice add ons by Samsung.
Thx for hints
You could try an alternative ICS launcher such as Nova https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher&hl=en. Hope that helps some.
An alternative launcher will definitely get you away from much of the touchwiz experience but you will still be stuck with Samsung's email, calendar, etc apps. Take a look in the SGS3 Themes and Apps section. I believe someone there has created a flashable zip to replace the Samsung stock apps with the ICS ones.
Thanks both of you. Nova does the trick for now.
I also flashed the ICS Email but it did not want to work. Guess I'll wait for CM then.
