[Q] Cannot add contacts after flashing Batista70 foxhound 2.4

i searched the q&a forums but nobody seems to have this problem.so i made a new thread.
i flashed the batista70 foxhound 2.4 on my galaxy s2 international edition few days back and since then i cant add telephone contacts to my phone. whenever i click the plus button the screen goes blank and returns to the previous screen again and sometimes this message pops up "process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly" force close.
thanx in advance for your help.
Not sure if you have Google+ installed but pretty sure I've read of people having the same issue on other roms. Deleting Google+ fixed it for them.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
it worked. thank you.

[Q] AOKP 4.0.4 text message problem

im running AOKP build 30 4-8-12. I did a full wipe on the initial version of AOKP 4.0.4 that i installed in the beginning of april and have been upgrading with just a cache wipe.
I still don't have enough posts to post in the dev forum, so i am posting this here.
extremely often when i text, with any keyboard ( i have tried swype and android keyboards) words will be recognized, but nothing is displayed in the text box. i have to leave the app and go back in for words to start being displayed in the text box. is this a known issue? I haven't seen anything about it
Happened to me occasionally on my previous install of 4-9. Haven't had 4-11 on here long enough to see it come up yet.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using XDA App

[Q] How to display information timestamp in the message details?

If anyone can help? I'm using Omega 8.0 at the moment but I am still playing around with various roms.
I want the sms app to be able to show the time the message was sent when you view message details (as opposed to only time received).
I know the MIUI rom does this well and when I flashed MIUI and restored my messages the information was there. I've only seen this feature on MIUI roms. I'm wondering is there some way of doing this with other rom sms apps? I currently use sms timstamp but I don't like the fact that it puts the information into the message body.
Still wondering about this - I was on paranoid android and CM-9 for a while and they had this feature, I've since changed to criskelo and the sent time is not there.
Is there something I can do to change this without having to install 'sms timestamp' or something similar?
In s3 stock sms app there is no option
But u can download cm9 sms app
And try
Thanks! That seems to have worked - so simple really
Stock SMS app has been modded to display sending time: here

[Q] I think this is going to be with issue for most CM 10 users

I am having the issue where when i receive multiple mms's In one single text
(i got mms to send and download using an alternate apn found in Baffles thread under android development if you cant get it to work try rebooting after you restore the apn)
the app itself tries to open it as a slide show then instantly closes, this is a problem with the app since i downloaded an alternate messaging app and it worked fine. the reason i care is because i wanted to have the stock app working due to the "reply in notification bar" feature. can you guys try out receiving multiple messages sent at the same time from one phone to yours and see if it works or if any one can link me to a working CM10 apk messaging app
P.S. i am on the CM 12/4 nightly but have tried replacing the app with others from earlier builds and some PA ones, no luck

[Q] Text messages not sending - PacRom 4.4.2

I've seen a couple of threads that make a separate reference to this issue, but none that express the same issue I am having. I am currently running PacRom 4.4.2 but I was also having this issue on PacRom 4.3 (December nightly). Basically, text messages are hanging on "SENDING..." and then after a couple minutes I get an error that the message was not sent. If I hold down on the unsent message and select View Details it states "Error Code: 201" Typically the first text I send during the day goes through fine, but then when I try and send another text it hangs. If I wait awhile and try sending a text later, it often goes through, but anything immediately after that hangs on sending... Needless to say, this has gotten rather frustrating. Even now I had a text go through after not using my phone for a while, and the next 5 attempts to send another text to the same person have failed to send.
I posted this issue in the PacRom thread and did not receive any response, although someone stated they were having the exact same issue on their CM Rom. That user made reference to Voice+ possibly causing a background issue. I do not use Google Voice (use standard SMS app), but I did try freezing Voice+ in Titanium Backup, which did not make a difference. My software is as follows:
Android Version: 4.4.2
Baseband version: I605VRUEMJ9
Kernel version: 3.0.64-CM-gb1c5069 [email protected] #1
PAC version: 4.4.Alpha-1
AOKP version: i605_kitkat
CyanogenMod version: 11-20140303-UNOFFICIAL-i605
ParanoidAndroid version: 4.0
Is anyone else having a similar problem, or has anyone discovered the underlying cause/solution to this issue?
Thanks for taking the time to read this and thanks in advance for responding.
AOKP is not PAC. Might want to edit your title.

Known Verizon issue. Call them or hang tight. This is not a rom issue. If you need texting until it's fixed go back to TW.

Thank you for the response. I am curious though, if it is a Verizon issue and not a rom issue then why is the problem resolved with a TW rom? What is it about AOSP that is creating an issue with SMS services?
