hi and many thanks you are a star..... sorry forgot to ask is this a insecure kernal and will my s2 be rooted after flashing the KP8 ? and basically can i now flash any custom rom with included kernals? ie like Omega Files Kitchen ?

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between this two kernels please?

both the kernels will give you root..
i prefer cf-root since it has support for so many firmwares!

the first kernel will give you root + CWM recovery
the 2nd will give you root + cwm recovery and also install busybox!
pm me if you have problems with flashing the kernels!

Well this, but he wants to use XXLP6 kernel, so replace xxlpb with xxlp6. So just normally using CWM.

hi guys i have not long come from a soft brick on my sgs2 lol now i sorted it out and rooted the phone tonight on cf root xxki3 and flashed cm9 latest version also the newest siyah v3.0rc1+ kernal but my baseband version still says i9100xxki3 why and how do i update?? sorry i searched but but couldnt find answers?????

Baseband is your radio/modem. You can flash in recovery another. Just find that is best for you!

It remains the same(because many devs don't include it in main from) flashing a Odin rom changes it...

As you are using cm9, go to cm9 thread you will have the list of available modems, download it and flash via cwm

Its works only with gingerbread bootloaders!

Extract kernel.sin of the stock ftf you want and flash it..
Use the thank button, it's there for a reason

Yes AMB3 is for German Stock. Don`t forget this kernel is for GT-I8190 only.

Where can i find this ROM/Kernel? OK SORRY JUST FOUND IT...it's a ROM ;( its for me too much work to flash again all my apps etc...
When i flash my Kernel again with Odin, all Apps are deleted or is it just an "Update"?

Mhhh still flashed the kernels with my Touch CWMR...
How do i flash it with Odin?
My Guide only show me flashing a completely ROM but this is the kernel only...
Flash in PDA in Odin thats all.

You're mixing kernels and radios, kernels are for booting up your system. Basically it's a system core. Radio is for RIL, signal and data.
ODIN > put the kernel file on PDA> START Flashing it is correct?
And can i flash this stock kernel even my phone is not ROOTED?

yes....flash as pda in odin...no need root to flash via odin.....
