Tibu from my rooted infuse - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Ok gotta question for all ya geniuses here...
Can I back up apps and data from my rooted samsung infuse through tibu and then take sd card out and stick in prime and restore through tibu to mirror what I have on the ole 4g?
Sorry if this makes no sense but seems logical to me.

Yes you can but this is what I had to do to get it to work. I had to install tibu and then copy all the files and drop them in the newly created tibu folder that was installed after the app was installed. I haven't had any problems installing the ones that I have installed.

Ok great. Will try this when I get home. Maybe just plug both into my laptop simultaneously and transfer through win exp. No need to remove sd cards. Lol. Makes sense.
Thanks

IM app from Bionix

I tried using the search but it ignores two character words. Anyone have the apk for the IM app in the bionix roms? I installed fusion and would like to have it.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I'm pretty sure it's just the default IM app out of Cyanogen/Vanilla. I'll post it up tomorrow if nobody has already.
Just a suggestion, if you make a Titanium backup of all your apps, it saves the apps that came pre-installed as well.
Just download bionix, unzip it and take it yourself in the system/app folder. Use adb push or root explorer to copy it to your own system/app after making a nandroid backup.

weird, I just did that (because I'm a nice guy, so I figured I'd just do it for whoever would want it) but I couldn't find it... probably just didn't look hard enough...
It's not you... it looks like it was removed from Bionix Final. It used to be in the data/app folder, not system/app, but I don't have 1.9.1 anymore to pull it out.
Sorry.

Weird, I just extracted it from the rom.

Well, I was actually looking in 1.9.1, but if it was in data/app, that's why I couldn't find it.

[Q] Hulu Plus App

I have tried looking around to find out how to get the hulu plus app on the nook color. Is there anyway to do this without adjusting the build.prop of the nook, or is that the only way to make it work? If that is the only way, can someone point me in the right direction to make that work or tell me any bad things that will occur by adjusting this.
Thanks.
Check rootzwiki forum. They have a version of thr hulu plus app that can be downloaded and restored using titanium backup . This version works on my nook color without editing the build.prop I think its in the thunderbolt forum.

Thanks, you reminded me of something, I remembered there was the app and titanium files on the inc2 area, got it working without adjusting a thing.

I was finally able to get it to work! Thanks for the info on the files in the inc2 area!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182668
If you download the app and zip files from there, place the three individual zip files in titanium backup folder. If you already have hulu installed, clear data for the app first and then uninstall it and may need to reboot, I had to do so with the inc2. Install the apk given but do not open the hulu app yet. Restore titanium backup files and enjoy hulu plus

Thanks for posting this. Great help!
Thanks for the info guys.
Does this still work?
I have downloaded the files and use titanium to restore...
The app runs but gives me the "device not supported yet" banner.
I can use it to manage my account and all... but no play...
anyone?

[Q] Restoring w/ Titanium

I rooted my Photon, installed Titanium Backup and backed the phone up to my sd card. Today, i exchanged my Photon for another Photon.
Do I need to root the new phone in order to backup using Titanium?
I guess what I'm getting at is that if the phone needs to be rooted again, it would seem there's no on the fly solution to immediately backing up the phone. I'd have to re-root the phone which means having my laptop handy.
Any help would be much appreciated.
How do you guys do it?
Thanks again.
pc
Yes you need to root again. I havw tried titanium unrooted and it says it wont work. The only one i ever got to work without having root was mybackup pro but you have to buy the app when restoring to new device when using mybackup pro. Not much info but hope it helps.

You don't need the laptop to root.

I have a broken-screen Photon and want to use TB to restore to my new Photon.
New Photon is rooted, but TB will not see all my elements. It don't think it's seeing any of my downloaded apps & data.
Any advice on what I need to do? I just want my new Photon to be like my old Photon.

I've tried everything that I can possibly think of, with no luck.
I did a fresh app only save and that didn't work. New phone would not see the apps to restore.
I can't figure out how to get my app saves off my old phone to be recognized by TB on the new phone. Do I need to download all the apps from the market? Do I need to factory reset the new phone and start over?
This is really starting to drive me crazy. It doesn't seem like it should be this difficult.

I now have a suspicion that y new phone is not reading my SD card correctly. It's not seeing all my pictures or videos. I've unmounted and remounted the card but no change.
Continually confused.
Try moving your titanium folder to internal storage and see what happens

This was the key (I hope, at least). I realized I was using the internal storage SD mount for my saves. I changed the directory to sd-ext and created a new folder there to perform the app & data save.
It's working through a restore right now, but I may be close.

Chalk this up to inexperience. I was backing up to the internal SD, not the external. Once I restated to external, it worked pretty well. Now just some tweaking to be done.
Thanks all for your help!

Why do so many people hate Rom manager? I love it and am just used to it since my cappy. I knkw it doesnt do everything with our SGS2 as it does for my cappy like reboot to recovery for nandroid backups correctly (except for using it for that purpose for cm7 works perfectly). But i like to use it for renaming nandroids and such. Easy to use and has never failed me. Wish it could be updated to fully work correctly at some point. Would be nice to get all our roms available on it/through it. Well to each his/her own i guess. I still use it to download gapps and such as well for cm7.

Lol.. seems like a lot of ppl really hate ROM Manager.
I either use ES File Explorer, or just connect to the pc and do my cleanup as necessary. I also rename the folders, so it's easier to identify which is what. Just remember if you do decide to rename your folders, no spaces , else you'll get md5 issues and wouldn't be able to restore from the backup you made.
A more interesting question is why a thread like this even needs to exist. I wondered the same thing the op did. Then I used root explorer to search and found the folder on my own. Search being the key word.

[Q] Restore selected apps with Titanium?

Ok, before I get flamed, I know there's a batch option in TB to restore all apps you have a backup of in one shot. However, I have backups of a bunch of apps I don't necessarily want installed right now, but I don't want deleted completely either. I'm running Newt's OneXXX RLS 1, and he just updated it to 2.1. I just got all my apps that I want installed on this, and don't feel like doing them one-by-one again if I update. My question is this: Is there a way to make a zip or something of just the apps I currently have installed on this ROM, and then to run it on the install of 2.1 so that only those apps will be installed? BTW, yes, I'm using Pro.
I just deselect the ones I don't want installed in batch.

I've been trying to figure out something like this too. Thought there might be a way to use labels to create a set of specific apps, haven't had time to mess around with it.
