Chance to WIN 2 Transformer Primes + Docks and 1 Original Transformer + Dock + Sleeve

Hey everyone,
I'm working as a CampusRep for ASUS Computers at Cornell University and was hoping you could all help me out.
ASUS Holiday Contest
You can enter to win TWO Transformer Primes
Here is the link http://www.facebook.com/AsusCornell?sk=app_250581868336547. The winner will win TWO Transformer Primes and TWO Keyboard Docks. All you have to do is like the Facebook page and fill out the contest entry form.
As an added bonus (for me) If you get my page to 1000 likes before the other competing pages, I get a Transformer Prime too!
I'll need your help and reshares so that we can win.
PLUS if I get those 1000 likes I'll also give away my Original Asus Transformer w/ Keyboard Dock and Sleeve!
THAT'S THREE TRANSFORMERS!

Facebook is the ultilmate stalking device. Also find it strange if this is a competition of college reps why there are not hudreds of similar competing posts

Part of our job is to use social media (i.e. Facebook) to promote our page cause, let's be honest, the majority of college students have Facebook.

There are not hundreds of Campus Reps. Maybe 30 or so and maybe some others don't post here on XDA. I thought it would be a good way to get some more followers and give everyone eligible to enter to win a few prizes.
Wish it was for Google+ instead of Facebook. I can't bring myself to sign into that horrible site, even to enter a contest. Good luck though.
Registered to win. Thanks for the opportunity!
PS.
You probably should have used Google+ for this giveaway, considering its an Android device it would have made some sense.

Trust me, if it was up to me I would have made it on Google+. Thing is, ASUS made our Facebook pages and made the contest online via Facebook.
Thanks for the help though and the suggestion.
Seeing a great increase in the number of "likes" almost to the point where I'm thinking of adding another prize. I have a BNIB Kindle Fire that I'm thinking of throwing in for an XDA member if my page gets to 1000 likes first.
I need everyone's help though.
1.) How will I know if the person that "liked" the page is Ann XDA member?
2.) How will the winner be chosen?
Feedback its important.

Forsome reason that makes me wantto check ASUS's Twitter

Easiest way would be to email the winners and ask for their XDA username, send a message to them to confirm.
Awesomeness! I entered, but what's with the list of schools? :/ There's no UCLA!
Just entered, even though I hate FB.
All I have to do to enter is leave a comment on facebook page?

No there is an entry form to enter to win the Two Transformer Primes and if my page gets 1000 likes first then I'll give away my original Transformer, Dock, and Sleeve to one winner and then a BNIB Kindle Fire to only an XDA member. XDA members can win both Transformer and Kindle Fire
Here is what i wrote on the other thread in the TF Prime section.
GarJones27 said:
Well I was thinking that there would be two different winners. One winner (Original Transformer) out of all the "likes" on my page and then the other winner (Kindle Fire) would be out of the "likes" from XDA members. Additionally, XDA members will still be eligible gor the Original Transformer.
As for the second question it could be a random generator for the Transformer prize and maybe the same for the Kindle Fire. Or maybe choose from those people who post on this thread (and the one in the General section of the original Transformer) as another member mentioned.
So keep the "likes" coming and please share and repost so others can see. Remember, the extra prizes from me (i.e. Original Transformer and Kindle Fire will only be given away if my page reached 1000 likes first. The two Transformer Primes are randomly chosen regardless of likes though, just fill the entry form.
Thanks again for helping me out.

Splashtop HD vs preinstalled software

I just bought splashtop HD for 9.99 and it works great. A few hours after purchasing I saw that the prime comes with this preinstalled. I was wondering if it is the exact same version (with the same features) and if I should try to get a refund because the tab already comes with this app.
thanks
I used the pre installed version works fine I would get a refund!
Where did you guys order your Prime from? I don't see it on mine (Amazon).

I emailed them for a refund and they will do it. They said the version pre installed on the prime doesn't have internet discovery. I'm not sure exactly what is meant by that though
I can use mine anywhere in the world to view my desktop it is under MyCloud
internet discovery
Hope this helps a little I thought oases the gmail thing on the preinstallation version infect I just entered my gmail so I think they're telling you wrong info unless I'm miss understanding

Thanks for saving me $10, I had no idea the Prime came with Splashtop for free, I had no idea it was hidden in the MyCloud feature. I had the older version of Splashtop installed from Getjar (no internet discovery) and was thinking of upgrading.

Legit! It really is splashtop HD. I already had the original slashtop but the HD version looks stunning in comparison
Thanks for the heads up guys, didn't know where to find it. What an amazing piece of software to get included. Using it to type this reply!!
Wanted to let you guys know that getjar has splashtop for free right now.

Thanks for posting this. Who knows how long it would have been before I discovered it was built in. It's pretty cool so far.
I'm only afraid that the preinstalled Splashtop HD does not follow all the updates served to the market version and as Tegra3 is brand new I believe this app will be going heavy optimization in the neares future.
Updates are a given with Asus

Don't worry about getting updates, changes the non-HD version came with the TF101, and and they updated it several times, and including upgrading it to HD.
Updates have always been a strong suit with Asus.
I dont have it preinstalled on mine. Where are you finding it? Ive never used it before but was just looking at it in the market and i would love to try it.

[Q] USA Today for Note.

I've searched everywhere I can think of but can't find a compatible version that works on the Note. The one for the Kindle Fire runs but complains that the Amazon app market isn't installed and then exits. I found an old version that looked like the one on the IPhone (ugh).
Anyone have better luck?
Regards,
Stuart.

Thanks for the tip on installing the Amazon Store. Although the version of the app there is the old phone version and not the tablet one I wanted (sorry I want specific in my initial post).
With the store installed I could use the one I found on the net.
That begs the next question. What does USA today have to do with the Amazon store?

Tomb raider map app .apk

If anyone has the tomb raider map app could you please send it to me. It's not available on Amazon market and can't find it anywhere on Google. My kindle isn't rooted so I can't get it from the play store. Thanks

You are asking for a paid app. The rules prohibit the distribution of paid apps on xda.
Sorry.

You could pm it to me. I would have no problem paying the lousy 2 bucks but Amazon doesn't have the app and they have the kindle's on lockdown so I can't get it from the play store. Not like I'm trying to steal just have no other choice. Not my fault

Don't want to root this thing cost me 400 can't afford to brick it. Plus I'm not going through all that trouble for 1 app. I don't even like the play store don't trust Google with my credit card

Um that link is invalid...
Well rooting it very very rarely hard brick's it, its rare that something like that would occur, soft bricking has happened on occasion, but if u soft brick it it is always fixable. All you would do is reflash the os. I find it funny in a sense you don't trust Google, I was like that at first when android first came out because I heard the reports of them going through peoples accounts emails, then when I realized that android was Linux based I said eh sure I guess I should trust it more. And I thought u already owned the app or were planning on paying for it if you could, if your not going to attempt paying for it then I can't help, I don't feel like getting banned for supporting piracy.

well see that's just it. I would love to pay for it but Amazon just doesn't have it. Paying 2 bucks for it would save me all this trouble. Also I'm not real tech savvy when it comes to android so I'm really not comfortable rooting. I do trust Linux based android I just don't trust Google as a company I hear they are sloppy with your credentials. And it's just not worth the possible identity theft for the one app I want that Amazon doesn't carry. Also I have tried to buy from play store through blue stacks but Google won't take a prepaid visa which is all I'm willing to use with Google. So I have defiantly attempted to pay for the app. Also I have been trying to find someone I know who uses play store so I could just give them 2 dollars to download it for me but everyone I know has iPhone so that's no help. If someone is willing to work something out I would be open to it

Please learn some manners, your incessant begging won't get you anything; here and in life. Adding "you suck" to your signature will NOT earn you anything.
Now, about your problem.
If you are on these forums, you should know how to search them. There ways to root the kindle fire hd. The steps are laid out all for you to follow. Any chance of you bricking your device is YOU. Any bricks are due to USER ERROR. Rooting isn't hard kid, read a bit; you'll figure it out.
You had a problem. I gave you a solution.
I didn't mean to get off as rude or harsh, but your attitude is really unnecessary.
Quit complaining please

agree this is not the place for search for warez, much less for bad attitude towards the community.
Another legit solution to his problem is if he has and android smartphone, its to buy the app in the phone, then extract the apk and transfer it to the kindle via usb.
