when I got it, there was none under it.. two weeks later, there's a speck of noticeable something (dust?) under the screen now. It wasn't there prior to this. how the hell does it get there?
Sent from my HTC EVO View Tablet
any photos?
Through the open ports on any device. Headphone, charging port, etc. Some devices are built a bit more stuffed inside, so harder for dust to get very far inside. Others have a bit more wiggle room, so dust finds its way to the screen.

see that white speck that's not in line with those other dots that are part of the screen? that's it. that really sucks, because now it annoys the living hell out of me. why is HTC so bad with getting dust under the screen?!

How many big handed users are on here? I had a note-spotting last night at a bar, guy had normal hands and it made the note look huge. I am used to seeing my phone in my grubby paws, so it looks how a phone should.
How many people on here have big, fat, stupid hands?
Picture for reference.

Hello,
did you ever seen gelaskin for Xperia S?
http://www.gelaskins.com/store/phones/Sony_XPERIA_S/collection/Most_Popular/pg/3
What i'm not sure about it, is that there is the sticker on the soft touch keys too.
What do you think? They still work?

i think so... its not part of screen , then there should be skin if that appears there i wonder the screen .. it should be wallpaper
My guess would be the buttons are affected. you could leave that part off i guess.
i got gelaskin for about 2 months now...Yeah it sticks on the screen too, it doesn't really affect the capacitative keys though, feels like it has the same responsiveness. I swipe the keys though but still the same.
btw Gelaskins are a little overpriced and overrated in my opinion. I took it all off except for the back.
I go to there for the wallpapers..
I ordered one , it will arrive in 6 days
I will let u know how is it when i try it ?
Title was going to be "Beware of Dog" but either way.
My dog decided to chew on my phone one night as I slept and I am wondering if I get a replacement outer shell for my phone will that be a good enough fix? Phone still works perfectly, I am just looking to prevent a catastophy (shattering from drop) before it starts.
Gorilla glass is not strong enough I guess.

So....... you want to know if you can purchase a replacement LCD screen and repair it?
Im confused by this.
I could. can you?
But man, thats a whole nother story to my dog ate my homework
There are lots of posts about replacing the screen on our phones that can be found by doing a search rather than starting a new thread.
Hey guys this is how i quickly fixed the creaky back battery cover on my indcredible 4g lte. All you need is post it notes and any tape, i used blue masking tape. At first i tried placing pieces of paper on the edges because the lower two corners of the phone were making this annoying sound whenver i held it, but this was no permanent fix as they fell out whenever opening the cover. Also there were creaks on the little area under the volume rocker. All of these area are now fixed and no creaks at all. Now phone feels more dense, although no weight added, just like my og incredible and incredible 2. Also if you are ever in dire need of a postit note you can impress anyone by busting one out from your phone. Droid Does!

Hopefully it worked for you, if you have any questions i will do my best to answer them.
I notice there's like a small dent/warp looking area under the glass in the screen. It's only visible if you have the screen off and reflecting off some light like a desk lamp or something. Also it's easier to see if you tilt it and look at it from an angle and not just straight down at it.
It doesn't affect the performance and it doesn't blur/distort anything when I'm using it but I can see it's there. Do any of you have that under your screens? I mean it's not a huge deal but my ocd is kicking in haha.
Yup same here.
I noticed it recently under a bed lamp, its like a tiny warp kinda thing on the top half of my screen.
Maybe a few unlucky devices have this minor manufacturing defect?
