Hey guys this is how i quickly fixed the creaky back battery cover on my indcredible 4g lte. All you need is post it notes and any tape, i used blue masking tape. At first i tried placing pieces of paper on the edges because the lower two corners of the phone were making this annoying sound whenver i held it, but this was no permanent fix as they fell out whenever opening the cover. Also there were creaks on the little area under the volume rocker. All of these area are now fixed and no creaks at all. Now phone feels more dense, although no weight added, just like my og incredible and incredible 2. Also if you are ever in dire need of a postit note you can impress anyone by busting one out from your phone. Droid Does!

Hi,
My O2 XDA IIs have two small problems :
- The part including the screen isn't very well attached to the part which contains the battery,
- I don't know how to explain it but a kind of fine film present on the plastic layer covering the screen has gone. The screen and the touch screen are working perfectly and there is no cracks anywhere.

Is there a way to repair this 2 faults ?
Thanks a lot and continue your great work!
Tristan
Maybe you use lousy screen protector and take out will be like this .
Yes, you're right ... I used really expensive screen protector but when I retired it this fine layer goes out with the screen protector ...
Is there a way to buy this part (the protective plastic layer) somewhere or to take this thing off ?
You could try rubbing alcohol or something like that....
...just dont blame me if it goes wrong!
when I got it, there was none under it.. two weeks later, there's a speck of noticeable something (dust?) under the screen now. It wasn't there prior to this. how the hell does it get there?

any photos?
Through the open ports on any device. Headphone, charging port, etc. Some devices are built a bit more stuffed inside, so harder for dust to get very far inside. Others have a bit more wiggle room, so dust finds its way to the screen.

see that white speck that's not in line with those other dots that are part of the screen? that's it. that really sucks, because now it annoys the living hell out of me. why is HTC so bad with getting dust under the screen?!
Hey guys, I've got a Lumia 800 and I love it. Apart from one thing: My USB/Charge flap keeps falling off when open, i.e. when charging. It literally falls off if you turn the phone upside down.
It's been doing this since I took it out the box from new (about a month ago). Also when it's closed it doesn't sit flush with the rest of the body but rather sits slightly pronounced
I've watched a few of the "How to replace Lumia 800 USB flap" videos but everyone else seems to be able to take off the flap by pulling hard and then replacing it by puching it back onto the pivot softly until it clicks. Mine doesn't click, and if I were to push any harder it most certainly would break.
Has anyone else got this issue or should I send it off for repair?
I've attached some pics just to see iv it varies from what a normal "functioning" flap looks like.

It is not normal, you should send it off for replacement.
I purchased this from amazon, only cost me $12.99 plus tax. The protection seems like it will hold up pretty well, but it's still early. I included some pics and will update if I form a negative opinion about it. Off the bat i would give it 4 1/2 stars. Oh and this was made for the US variants. There is no antenna cut out.

I have the same case, went with the black border. Love it, it's very snug, and protects the phone well. Ports are all available.
My only issue is the clear back is a LITTLE frosted, which I'd prefer it to be clearer to show off my gold bling.
That looks like a phone condom. I'm glad to see you are practicing safe sexting...
Gday all,
My ear speaker died a few weeks ago so I decided to replaced it and put a new battery in while I had the back open. It all went well and the ear speaker is working now. But since I pulled it apart, wifi strength is terrible. I get 1 bar where I used to get 5. The wifi antenna in printed onto the plastic frame that sits around the battery. I realised that when I replaced the battery a broke off a small component:

}
It was one of these:
Any ideas on what the component is and/or what it does? The two sets of aerial contacts on both sides of the phone just under these two components seem fine. So I'm a bit stumped.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Cheers.
