Cyanogenmod / motoblur rom files list. - Motorola Droid X2

Could anyone send me link to the list of rom files for these? I need to know, because my emmc is filled to the brim, but I don't know what I can delete.

What ROM are you on now? If it's CM7, the emmc is the INTERNAL memory card. That only have 4.2 GB of space (even though it's advertised at 8GB). Unless you have changed the settings on the camera app (or other apps that save data to the sdcard) to save the pictures to emmc, you SHOULD be okay to wipe everything. Best thing to do is to put your phone in PC mode and copy everything off, or, if you have adb set up, issue:
Code:
adb pull /mnt/emmc
Just make sure you are in a directory that you want those files to go to.
Then, wipe the emmc. If you have issues, you can always transfer them back.
Ciao!

Thanks for the response. I am on cm7. Also, do any other non camera apps store files on the internal? Because on motoblur, my gameboid data was all in internal.

internal storage almost full

Hi my internal storage is just about full. I'm not exactly sure why either except maybe from backups by titanium or because of flashing so many roms and my old apps still exist? Idk but if I backup my current condition and save to to my PC can I then wipe my phone and reflash?

just backup what tghings you need and delete all others thus wipe.
also have a look at the folder LOST.dir in your internal storage. if it has things inside delete them.
but if it has it also means that you are not properly disconnecting your phoine after finishing your transfer from/to PC.

Titanium backups take a consistent amount of space, it hardly varies more than a hundred megs. My theory is your nandroid backup. You said that you flash many roms and I presume each time you would perform a nandroid backup in cwm? Now these take up a fair bit of space. If you don't delete nandroid backups that you no longer need, then it will use up your space fairly easily.
Check your clockworkmod folder.
OK thanks. And by things I need you mean backup pics append all that kind of thing and then wipe? Also I have a ton of stuff in the lost directory. What am I doing wrong? Is it because I don't unmount the volume before disconnecting?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
lambstone. If i go into cwm recovery I only have three listed. I don't usually backup each time I flash because if I get problems I use one of those three to get me good again and then continue from there. I just sync with Google to get my apps back and titanium to get the rest.

delete content of lost dir. and yes you are not unmounting correctly.
if it says it is full but shows empty then it must have been corrupted. save photos and other important data and then format internal drive from settings-storage

Unable to save/delete on SD-EXT

Hello.
I'm on the latest CM7 stable and am not able to delete any files or save any files to SD-ext. The files will show "deleted" or "saved", but if I reboot, the deleted files will be back or the new files will be gone. I have 1.5GB free on my SD. Any Ideas? Do you think it may be because it's formatted as FAT32 (just noticed that today)?
Thanks!
No one has a clue or any suggestions?

Memory question and others

Hi, yesterday I bought the Galaxy Player 3.6 8GB. Now when I look at my available memory it's far from 8GB, so I have 4.73GB internal memory and Internal device storage I have 1.86GB. Already rooted so have delete some of the stock apps but every app I removed just gave me more internal device storage and I would rather have it as internal memory storage of course, Is there any way to do this?
My other question is that there is a lot of apps installed that are actually phone apps (dialer, etc) would this give problems if I remove these seeing as I will never use it to make phone calls.
Thanks in advance

There is a 2GB /data partition (where apps are) and a 5GB /sdcard partition (where your files are). You cannot combine them.

So if I install apps they will go into the data partition and not in the sdcard partition or is the data partition only for the stock apps?

I already know that, but on other device, you can get your sd card reconize as internal storage with script or modification.
So you get a bigger storage, that what we need

Stock apps are on /system. Apps from the market go in /data, unless you move them to the external SD, and then they will go there.

Assuming you are on CM10:
If you're looking in .android_secure, that is the app itself, and that bug is fixed with the latest kernel (uploading now).
Otherwise, you are looking at game data. To move that to external, uncomment the "switchablepair" line in build.prop and reboot. Note that any data in /storage/sdcard0/Android/data (mostly app cache) will not be moved, so you need to either copy it over before rebooting, or let it redownload.
For non-cm10 roms, all of the above applies except the bug and the exact line in build.prop. For example, some ROMs always have it uncommented, but have a line saying "ro.vold.switchexternal=0". In that case, change it to 1 to switch them.

am not sure what is CM10. If you are referring to the screen which comes up when we start the player using Power-up+volume+home button, then there I see this CMW-based Recovery V5.0.2.7. I'm posting on your ROM thread because I've some confusion on how to install your rom

for build.prop, i'm using this guide on how to access it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...ds-cse&usg=AFQjCNEe0O89F81Y5NpJ5mXVf7b4DRDO-g).
playing with this file seems a little dangerous. I'm using the following kernel and ROM.
[Kernel][JB][YP-G70] Mercurius v2
[ROM][YP-G70][JB]PARANOID ANDROID v2.57
I see the following in the build.prob. Is that ok, or do I've to change something?
Code:
You can tweak the next 4 properties

If you have a backup made, your fine. If not, its lost.
Don't delete system folders unless you know what you're doing.

On a scale to one to ten? About a 8.
If you have rooted your phone, you can get an undelete app (like Fahrbot's Undelete for Root Users on the Market) and recover the folder... hopefully. There's a chance it won't catch the files or whatever. If you're not rooted, I don't think it would be possible to get them back, but I may be wrong (check Google, they may know).
In case you were wondering why this happened, I'll tell you. Android is based on Linux. Linux has these links to files/folders called symlinks. Now, for whatever reason it is, Android has multiply links to the sdcard (probably to help with compatibility). So while they may look like two different folders, they lead to the same place. Think of it as two doors to the same house.
Good luck!
If you are on a 4.2 ROM (One found in Original Development):
The SDcard0 and SDcard are all links to /Data/Media/0. Use a root browser to navigate here and see of your SD cards contents are here. I'm not sure if deleting a symlink will also delete its source, so you may still have the SDcard just not a way to access it without root permissions. If you can see your SD card in /data/media/0, PM me and I'll try to help you restore it. If you don't see anything here, or don't see your SD cards contents (before wipe), I'm sorry to say this but your pretty screwed.

Rooted Verizon s4 MDK is there anyway to get apps to sd?

I searched the forums and I don't see anything sorry if I missed it. Is there a work around to save apps to sd card? Tried updating some apps and phone is telling me insufficient storage. Thanks for your help in advance. I have it set to go to sd card but when I got to where the apps are to move or what have you there is nothing to move to sd.

Apps to sd card?
Anyone have any ideas how to get apps to sd card tried deleting some apps due to insufficient space (can't even update a app) deleted 3 apps and still can't download Folder Mount as suggested. Any help would be much appropriated as I am stuck can't update apps or install like this. Did I miss a work around in the OP?
How bad is your storage situation? In terms of MB available?
Also, do you already have Titanium Backup installed? If so, just back up a bunch of apps to your SD card, delete the installs, and then restore from the backups after you've got Folder Mount running and your storage cleared up.

As a reminder, the "/mnt/sdcard" device is INTERNAL memory on this phone. You want to move your apps to /mnt/extSdCard, which is the microsd slot.
I've never tried it, but pretty sure I saw an option in Titanium Backup to move app to sd.

No, you can't just move them there. Applications won't be recognized if you just pick them up and move them.

Ok never mind. That isn't going to work. I can't download folder mount that is kind of my problem. out of space when I have plenty. as shown in the screen shots. So basically I am going to have to wipe everything and use my titanium backup to restore apps? I have a feeling even if I erase all of the apps it will still say that as I have so much storage free(internal). Sigh

I haven't pulled the battery oddly enough..(you would think that I would have done that first)... I will try that when I get home as it is in a otterbox case and I am at work and it's a pain to get out. As far as ME7 Builds go last I heard once you flash to a ME7 build you would be stock on ME7. Which I am not trying to do. I am happy with touchwhiz at the moment. Not really into the plain dark look as it is just that to plain for me. Which Rom where you suggesting that you can revert back to a MDK build with? I have a nandroid already. But I tried deleting apps to see if if would let me download it and all it does is delete that app and I can't put the app i just took off back on. With all the storage available. Just kind of baffled that no one has really ran into this. I have TWRP on it now. I might switch it to 4EXT Recovery as it just has way more options.
1. Deleted apps no difference
2. Deleted Cache no difference (TWRP style wipe)
3. When I get off going to try and wipe Delv/Cach (see if that does anything)
4. If all else fails I will do a complete wipe and start with that app.(Even though you can just change the file destination in root explorer to go to sd card. There is also 2 places it stores on your phone you have a internal sd and a emulated storage. I believe this is wear the hang up is being caused.
Just seems strange that you are getting any type of error with the amount of internal storage you have available. When you get an app from tue store itsaves to your phones internal storage, which is not even close to being full. Also if you are rooted you can go back and forth between MDK and ME7 builds. Devs dont really mess with bootloaders when making roms...
