[Q] sony xperia active 3g tmobile usa - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Anyone know which model xperia active st17i or st17a will work with 3g tmobile usa? Thanks

I believe you will need the ST17i version to get 3g on T-Mobile. I'm on AT&T so I got the ST17a version.

[Q] Will my phone work in UK & Europe

Hello,
I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10i phone, unlocked.
The specifications are:
Specification: GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
UMTS/HSPA BAND 1/4/8
Here is my question:
I am planning to travel to UK & Europe next month. 1 Will this phone work on in UK & Europe? 2 Will this phone support 3G or 4G network in UK & Europe? 3 What are my options with phone in UK & Europe? What network will this phone support?
Thanks
Here is a question, r u switching sim cards or r u keeping ur current one?
If u arent swictching u should be fine if ur network says u will have coverage.
If u are switching sim cards, post back with yes to switching and i will give u a link to a website to sim unlocking a x10, but u have to pay.

[Q] Bell Mobility Compatibility

[+w w w.] ebay.ca/itm/Sony-Ericsson-Xperia-Mini-Pro-SK17i-White-SimFree-Phone-/220839273164?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item336b0be2cc
I'm looking for the Xperia Mini Pro, but to work on the Bell Mobility Network, and I'm incredibly confused now, how many versions there are of this phone on ebay.
Will the link above be able to work with Bell Mobility?
My friend has the 900/2100 version, and the sim is actively rejected, and I don't want to have that problem =)
Thanks.
afaik the phones supports every band. Could it be possible that you friend uses a simlocked device/sim?
The big amount of these phones on ebay results certainly of the strange way of naming the devices as the previos version was the xperia x10 mini pro. The current on is the same name without x10. Without pro are the devices without hardware keyboard etc.
You should search for sk17i what is the working name of the xperia mini pro and your results should be better
Greetings, Klaus
I don't think it's sim locked because she bought it in Hong Kong, and I can get a 2G signal on it with my Rogers sim card, but when she tries using her Bell sim card it actively refuses it.
I called bell and they said that the phone is not on the same band as their network.
My guess is because Bell doesn't use GSM, but uses HSPDA.
I think the Sk17 has two versions, the SK17 and the SK17i, and perhaps another one. One is quad band, one is tri band and the other is duo band.
To work on Bell or Telus in Canada requires SK17a model, SK17i will not work since as Bell rep told you, the latter is not on the correct band (requires UMTS/WCDMA/3G on 850/1900, the "i" has 900/2100).
Related question—how about T-Mobile in the US? I just bought a Mini Pro, but it seems like it drops the network every couple of minutes before picking it back up. My old G1 used to work perfectly in the same location, so it shouldn't be a reception issue...
Hey there.
I bought a sim locked SK17a from Rogers.
Went to one of those GSM stores in Vancouver, and got a carrier unlock code for $50.
Phone sim unlocked, and can use the Bell network.
Had to manually enter the APN details to access 3G, when I inserted my Bell Sim.

Question about Xperia Acro S on T-Mobile USA

I'd been wanting to buy the Xperia Acro S since it's been announced. But before I buy it, I want to know if there's any trouble making a phone calls or anything with this phone on the T-Mobile USA network? I wonder what sort of network can I get? my Xperia x10 gets 3G, but Neo only gets 2G.
Also, I heard there is a US version to be released soon, but I wonder if there is a major difference between the US version or the International version? if not, then I won't have to wait around but buy the Intl. version asap.

I would also like to know this. I looked up the baseband on my moto defy and I am using the tmobile at 850/1700/2100 and the xperia is listed as
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
Thanks,
Sean
It will work fine, Tmobile covers all those frequencies including 1900.
Just to update it does work fine.

[Q] Wi-Fi calling on T-Mobile

Any T-Mobile USA owner now there, can you please confirm that with an active T-Mobile SIM, can you do Wi-Fi calling on this Sony Z Ultra? If so, was the Z Ultra a Sony version, or GPE? Thanks!

Tmobile wifi calling working only with Tmobile certified phones., which is on sale in tmobile stores.
Xperia Z Ultra and Z Ultra GPE don't have that future.
If you have a choice buy Sony version of Z Ultra. Why ? There is many posts about it.

Well...
Here is the thing, I have a MetroPCS Alcatel OneTouch Firece, I unlocked it, put my T-Mobile SIM into it, and I was able to make Wi-Fi calls.
Obviously, this phone is not a T-Mobile certified phone, it does not have any T-Mobile software on it, and, when I am in-door with no cell signal, the phone shows MetroPCS, so what gives?
