After reflashing to the latest custom 3.2.8 rom, i've noticed im getting extremely poor performance on psx and N64 emulation, checking the fps counter it says im getting 35 frames per second but it seems to be moving so slowly. Anyone else having poor performance? or does anyone know why it could be affecting me? thanks
Edit: I used to run all of the above perfectly

hi im using Megatron v1 on my O1. and then i run quadrant advanced it shows me that my bechmark is ~540 sometimes even lower. whats wrong? i think it must be about 1000..
550 is a very good score for our device. over 1000~ is a bug of the benchmark software, this has been discussed in this forum already.
Over 1000 is a buggy you say I was wondering how mine got over 1300 score haha
so you say my quadrant advanced is buggy?
Maybe your stagefright was disabled? But don enable it! Stagefright gives me lots of problems.
man wtf is that stagefright?:?
I believe you can write "stagefright player" into google just like everyone else
Long story short, its a video/audio playback engine, but its little buggy in our android version - some video formats cant be played, and since theres H264 decoding test in Quadrant which fails to proceed, it gives way too good score.
Hi All,
Since i have problems with the performance of my Archos 70IT 250gb, i was curious to see if other people have the same issues.
I've searched the forums and found as well various problems, but as well people who seemed to be happy with this tablet.
What are my problems?
- At first everything smooth for like an hour after that device just locks up
- Stuttering after running some applications
- Bad performance in applications (stuttering)
I've tried to keep the device running without any changes
I've tried to only use setcpu to overclock to 1.2ghz
I've tried to only use a swap file
I've tried to use a swapfile and the overclock to 1.2ghz
I've tried to use only a taskkiller
I've tried to use a taskiller and a swapfile and an overclock to 1.2ghz
I've tried to use a Stagefright build.prop with swapfile and an overclock to 1.2ghz.
But doesn't mater what i do it after a while just everything locks up.
I've done multiple resets/full firmware reinstallations.

Please do tell if your device is running good, what your setup is.
What applications you use to keep it running good and what you have changed to the default build, also state your firmware version.
Thanks in advance, i hope to learn something from it and i think other people will benefit from this as well!
No problems here, I tried Uruk for a while but that gave me troubles. Now I'm usung just the stock firmware 2.1.8, and that runs smooth.

I've found it to be really slow. Just all the time. It doesn't play games well at all and makes my desire s look like a gaming rig.
My guess is the 250gb hdd is the cause of all this as it's likely to be the read/ write access speeds.
I got an upgrade available to get a play for $50, and I'm wondering how great they are. I've been getting annoyed at the touch screen controls for gaming, and want a controller finally.
However, I'm worried as to how smooth, responsive, and great the graphics are with psx emulators or games like GTA3.
I saw quadrant scores at ~1700 and got worried seeing as I score ~3500 no problem, and with Antutu the Atrix gets much much higher scores than the play especially in 3D and CPU.
Does anyone have experience with both phones and can give me some ideas as to how they perform against eachother?
Anyone else notice that this game runs slower than it probably should given the specs of this phone? Also, doesn't seem to be rendering in 1080p either.
Running stock 4.2.2 so I'm sure the ROM isn't the issue (ran the same on the stock 4.1.2 as well...slower actually).
Just wondering if my issue is solely my issue or not. Thanks guys!
Hi everyone, I've just bought an Xperia z2. I'm having low fps in games like asphalt 8, real racing 3. It was the same with kitkat, i updated my phone to lollipop but nothing's changed. I'm still having low fps. I searched on net but it looks like nobody is having the problems like me. I'm getting about 41000 points in antutu. My phone is not rooted. Please help me with this problem.
Note: Sorry for my bad english
What do you mean by low fps? Asphalt 8 is a very GPU intensive game, all Snapdragon 800/801 chips with adreno 330 get average fps of 32, it drops to 24 sometimes.
Unless for you it's real choppy, like with stutter or real low framerate like 10 or something, try a factory reset. Do it from recovery to completely wipe everything. And if that doesn't do anything, could be something with your phone.
And where did you put those games? Maybe you put them on external SD card? It may be slower compared to built in memory which could result in game stuttering constantly.

this can depend on the quality of your MicroSD
i thought it may be specific to S800/801 because anything that's not a 800/801 has much less of a hard time playing games

I have a class10 microsd. Anyway the game was already installed in phone storage. I moved it to my sdcard, nothing changed.

Those racing games are capped at 30 FPS max, even if your GPU is capable of doing more, in order to save some battery and prevent over heating. I am assuming you have a past full of games like them so your eyes are educated of catching the "between-frames" thus making you think the game is not rendered smooth enough. Most probably nothing is wrong with your phone.
