Attempting to install a new ROM, so wiped all data, did a restore to factory settings and wiped Dalvik Cache. Realised new ROM wasn't on memory card, so tried to boot up, and it just keeps showing the (stock) boot animation.
Can access recovery (CWM 5.0.2.6), so what is the best way to get my phone back up and running?
flash new rom using cwm.
or, if u could enter to download mode. flash stock using odin
Thanks, managed to get a ROM and installed it, and is working!
try to read Q&A thread for future reference.
helps alot. really.. no.. seriously..
Hello,
I had a Custom ROM installed on my device (Xperia X10i) with Unloacked Bootloader. cwm recovery was installed too.
I then mistakenly tried to install a wrong update from ROM Toolbox, this required a Reboot.
Since the there has been a Boot Loop on my device and I am unable to boot to Recovery as well.
I am able to Flash some Kernels using Flashtool, but the device is still unrecognized.
The Boot Loop process is as follows:
Shows the Boot Logo of the Kernel > and then displays a error related image and then it boots again.
It seems that the Custom ROM went corrupt and is not able to boot to recovery as well.
What options can I think of to recover from this.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks.

If you flash another kernel, did you menage to boot into Rom or recovery???
If you able to boot into Rom, and if you can use it without problem, OK. If you can't boot into Rom but can boot into recovery, wipe everything, format system, data, cash, dalvik cash, and install some custom rom zip via recovery.
If you not able to boot Rom or recovery, recommend to reflash your phone Stock Rom with SEUS (Sony Update Service), and then flash Custom Rom and kernel again.

Hi al, I don't what I done but my s2i9100 is stuck at Cwm recovery. How can I get it to boot up etc? I tried wiping cache, factory reset etc and still can't get it to boot past CWM recovery. If I download your neatrom i9100XWMS3 v6.2.zip an put in on a sd card and into my s2 and then install from sd card on CWM recovery will it boot up then? Thanks
Did you use Rom Manager ?
Id suggest looking at 'how to flash stock roms' thread stickied at the top of this section
I flashed the crdroid rom and after doing so my phone always boots into recovery mode. It does not show the logo it just shows the unlocked boot loader screen then boots to recovery. I have tried clearing the cache and data too but that did not work.
I am using twrp recovery 3.02.
I also tried flashing cyanogen mod on this device but after flashing it it would not get past the boot animation. I reformatted the device after that and restored it using a nandroid backup even this gave me a lot of problems initially but a fastboot clear cache sorted those out.
Any and all help would be really appreciated
Flash the stock rom and root the device and try again
Sorry for my english
flash the rom in fastboot without flashing motoboot and gpt.bin and then boot it after sucessful boot reflash ur recovery and then flash ur desired rom with only cache and delvik wipe.... Hit thanks if it worked.
If you are installing a new ROM and it's stuck in a boot loop after rebooting in the custom ROM, when you do WIPE, tap FORMAT DATA before installing the new ROM. This has worked for me. Each time.
