Hello,
I had a Custom ROM installed on my device (Xperia X10i) with Unloacked Bootloader. cwm recovery was installed too.
I then mistakenly tried to install a wrong update from ROM Toolbox, this required a Reboot.
Since the there has been a Boot Loop on my device and I am unable to boot to Recovery as well.
I am able to Flash some Kernels using Flashtool, but the device is still unrecognized.
The Boot Loop process is as follows:
Shows the Boot Logo of the Kernel > and then displays a error related image and then it boots again.
It seems that the Custom ROM went corrupt and is not able to boot to recovery as well.
What options can I think of to recover from this.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks.

If you flash another kernel, did you menage to boot into Rom or recovery???
If you able to boot into Rom, and if you can use it without problem, OK. If you can't boot into Rom but can boot into recovery, wipe everything, format system, data, cash, dalvik cash, and install some custom rom zip via recovery.
If you not able to boot Rom or recovery, recommend to reflash your phone Stock Rom with SEUS (Sony Update Service), and then flash Custom Rom and kernel again.

Hi All...
I was trying to install a new ROM, but before, i wipe the user settings, cache partition and dalvik cache...
Since the new files was not ok, the instalation was aborted... The previous rom (villainROM 3) kept looping around and around and did not boot.
So, with ODIN, i flashed an official ROM, like i've did before, installed CWM APP and try to boot into recovery mode, but now, all i have is android system recovery... The CWM recovery is not there...
I've already installed rom manager and installed CWM Recovery from there, but still no sucess...
How can i revert this and have CWM recovery so i can install roms again ?
Cheers,

HI
i have unlocked the bootloader of my Xperia S, then i flashed cyanogenMod 10 alpha ROM but the thng is my phone is stuck at boot animation
i tried to flash another ROM but same thing stuck at boot animation
help need please
Thanks
Did you follow the instructions well??
Flash a firmware with flashtools.

Thanks for the advice i flashed a stock firmware using flashtool and it worked
but now whats the safest way to flash custom roms ?
Do you have locked or unlocked bootloader???
The safest way is to read the instructions on how to install for each rom.
I usually wipe everything before installing roms that means,in cwm factory reset, format system, wipe user data, wipe dalvik cache, wipe battery stats then install the rom.

You need to extract boot.img from the CM10 zip file and then use fastboot to install it on your device, then boot into recovery to flash CM10.
Follow these intructions exactly and you should be fine http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29185964&postcount=131
i followed the instruction carefully but no luck still stuck at boot animation
any solution ?
I unlocked the bootloader as per steps everything went well. When I reboot it shows FXP logo and then it is stuck at Xperia logo not sure what to do any idea?
i faced the same problem as you guys... and i found the solution 1.wipe cache, 2. wipe dalvik cache 3.format system data. it will warn you but never bother since yoiu want a new custom rom installed to your device. all your old system files will be deleted and now it will ask to install a new rom.. 4.install from zip. done. now wipe cache and dalvik cache again and reboot system.. it should work.. hopefully..
hi everybody.
my phone is booting every time. with odin i installed already twrp and cwm. with twrp I can just see the logo and then the phone is booting again. with cwm, i am able to see the menu but when i try to wipe the phone, the phone starts to boot again.
i installed cyanogenmod via adb but the phone is not starting android.
the last chance i have is to hope that someone of you have a solution.
i uploaded a video to show you what i mean.

Have you tried flashing a stock ROM?
yes. but it is still in the loop.
Flashing in Odin was successful?
After flashing the stock ROM, did you perform a factory wipe before booting for the first time?
thats not possible. i can boot to the clockworkmod recovery but if i choose the option "wipe data/factory reset" the recovery will be closed and the smartphone boots again and open the recovery.
1, download mode and flash an official stock rom (one package) via odin. Make sure it is for your device specifically.
2, Boot to official stock recovery and wipe data/factory reset. If the phone reboots after this you need to be prepared to key combo to download mode BEFORE it boots android.
3, Flash the official stock rom again.
All remnants of any previous roms will be gone and you should have a booting phone.
Beamed in by telepathy.
It worked with the stock recovery. Now I was able to install cyanogenmod. Thank you very much!!!
I have flashed mini Dev rom in del mode and after that I flashed tarp to flash custom roms. In recovery I was asked for password. I clicked cancel and then format data. and then I selected reboot to recovery. But the twrp won't boot. This didn't happen before . The recovery doesn't boot most of the Time. Please help . And also flashing miui should have locked the bootloader. But it didn't.
Hey
I bought a new phone so I was planning to perform a clean flash on my old ZU.
So in TWRP, I wiped cache + dalvik + data + internal storage, and then I flashed a pre-rooted rom (zip that includes XZDualRecovery and SuperSU ).
From there, I'me not able to boot anymore, either in system or in recovery. It gets stuck on SONY logo, I can only go to flashmode and fastboot mode.
I tried to flash trought flashtool, but it failed
Is there anything else I can do ?

Yes I did, but I don't remember how.
Maybe try to flash a stock ROM, without root or anything
