Hey
I bought a new phone so I was planning to perform a clean flash on my old ZU.
So in TWRP, I wiped cache + dalvik + data + internal storage, and then I flashed a pre-rooted rom (zip that includes XZDualRecovery and SuperSU ).
From there, I'me not able to boot anymore, either in system or in recovery. It gets stuck on SONY logo, I can only go to flashmode and fastboot mode.
I tried to flash trought flashtool, but it failed
Is there anything else I can do ?

Hello,
I had a Custom ROM installed on my device (Xperia X10i) with Unloacked Bootloader. cwm recovery was installed too.
I then mistakenly tried to install a wrong update from ROM Toolbox, this required a Reboot.
Since the there has been a Boot Loop on my device and I am unable to boot to Recovery as well.
I am able to Flash some Kernels using Flashtool, but the device is still unrecognized.
The Boot Loop process is as follows:
Shows the Boot Logo of the Kernel > and then displays a error related image and then it boots again.
It seems that the Custom ROM went corrupt and is not able to boot to recovery as well.
What options can I think of to recover from this.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks.

If you flash another kernel, did you menage to boot into Rom or recovery???
If you able to boot into Rom, and if you can use it without problem, OK. If you can't boot into Rom but can boot into recovery, wipe everything, format system, data, cash, dalvik cash, and install some custom rom zip via recovery.
If you not able to boot Rom or recovery, recommend to reflash your phone Stock Rom with SEUS (Sony Update Service), and then flash Custom Rom and kernel again.

Hi I have attempted to install experience rom on my xperia U. Firstly i successfully unlocked the boot loader. I then rooted it and installed CWM recovery all still good. I the transferred the ROM image to the phone went into recovery did a wipe data factory reset and wipe cash partition. Also wipe dalvick cache. Selected the ROM and install started, it hung, only way out was battery pull, I went back into recovery same thing happened, finally tried once more and it hung at about 75%. Now phone goes in a loop sony logo to black screen and I cant get into recovery mode. I have searched to see if I can find a way out but not found a way around it yet. I would be very grateful for any help with this.

flash stock ICS Rom ftf with flashtool
Thanks for help
Thanks I managed to flash stock Gingerbread in the end.
In case anyone else has a similar problem here is a handy guide I found. (youtube.com/watch?v=hPPWRXcsz7g)
Where it says connect phone I found you need to connect it in fast boot (hold volume up button as you connect it) when the software is ready to flash un-plug phone then connect in flash mode (hold volume down button as you connect).

Flash stock firmware.
Install fastboot drivers.
Flash SlidingXU in cmd
Try out Zperience or TheBrainsRom following factory data reset, wiping cache and dalvik cache.
Hey,
just flashed my Xperia Z2.
First unlocked, then flashed boot.img, then installed cyanogenmod and gapps.
Now the phone restarts but stays an boot screen. Since about 10 minutes.
I'm afraid of having an empty accu in the end.
What to do?

You probably forgot to wipe your data and cache before you installed Cyanogenmod.
I went through this same thing and even though I remembered to wipe data and cache before I installed Cyanogenmod, I didn't notice that during the wipe, CWM gave me an error mounting /data
What I had to end up doing to fix it all was:
1. FTF flash the original D6503 ROM to my device again.
2. Flash the boot.img for CWM.
3. Boot into CWM.
4. Wipe data and cache. (This time it worked no problem.)
5. Install Cyanogenmod
6. Install Gapps
7. Reboot
8. Enjoy the device.

You have to do this to recover from when you turn your phone into a brick.
EDIT: Oops, I just noticed I made a mistake up there. I actually flashed the D6503. NOT THE D6502. I have a D6503 device.

Be careful because PhilZ as a option to do a normal wipe factory reset but also a option to install a new rom which formats all the necessary files to do that including your system (rom). This can leave you without a rom to boot into if you don't know how to use it propably,I would just recommend just flashing back to stock with Odin (and don't forget to factory reset after using Odin.

If you have tried flashing stock (and you have flashed everything correctly and wiped correctly) and you are still stuck in bootloop the only option I can see is to try the rescue firmware in the stickies forum.
Be very careful and follow instructions carefuly as it containes a pit file,if this failes then I would suggest service repair.

Tried to wipe again and booted up. It just took longer than normal (5mins) and then it booted up as normally. Thank you very much !
Now, if I want to flash Cyanogenmod again (Not Installer !), I just have to root and then flash Cyanogen Mod, right ?

Yep I agree don't use installer seen alot of problems with it... If you just want to install Cyanogen Mod (or any custom rom) with custom recovery then you do not need to root (only root if you want to backup or access anything from system), all custom roms come with root included. Just use a custom recovery wipe then flash your rom (factory reset if it bootloops) done.

I have an unusual problem, in that my Moto Z always boots to TWRP. The only way to boot the ROM is first to boot bootloader and reboot bootloader a few times and then select Start. Any idea why and if there is something I can do?

Yes I cleared both dalvik and cache and did not solve the problem.
I'd maybe flash twrp again (optional if twrp seems fine) and then dirty flash your rom again. (without any wipes first.)
If that fails, maybe only wipe system, and flash rom again.
Backing up with twrp before doing anything.
Assuming it's a custom rom. If it's stock, then you need to use fastboot obviously. (or mfastboot if that's what we use, I haven't done anything to my Z yet.) :good:
I finally solved the problem and solved it by reflashing stock ROM using fastboot. Then I could flash twrp again and then the custom ROM.
