Can you get into recovery or download mode? If yes full wipe in recovery and install a new rom or flash back to stock with Odin and start again.

Be careful because PhilZ as a option to do a normal wipe factory reset but also a option to install a new rom which formats all the necessary files to do that including your system (rom). This can leave you without a rom to boot into if you don't know how to use it propably,I would just recommend just flashing back to stock with Odin (and don't forget to factory reset after using Odin.

If you have tried flashing stock (and you have flashed everything correctly and wiped correctly) and you are still stuck in bootloop the only option I can see is to try the rescue firmware in the stickies forum.
Be very careful and follow instructions carefuly as it containes a pit file,if this failes then I would suggest service repair.

Tried to wipe again and booted up. It just took longer than normal (5mins) and then it booted up as normally. Thank you very much !
Now, if I want to flash Cyanogenmod again (Not Installer !), I just have to root and then flash Cyanogen Mod, right ?

Yep I agree don't use installer seen alot of problems with it... If you just want to install Cyanogen Mod (or any custom rom) with custom recovery then you do not need to root (only root if you want to backup or access anything from system), all custom roms come with root included. Just use a custom recovery wipe then flash your rom (factory reset if it bootloops) done.

Hi everyone, i've got a huge problem with my i9300, i've got the foxhound/[email protected] rom since a week, and everything worked fine, i updated once without problems, however today i did the update with usual procedure, but now i've rebooted and i'm stuck on a bootloop after the apps optimizing part, where Android tries to optimize two apps, then open them, but then boot animation starts again over and over.
I tried going into recovery but it did not do anything, so i i tried flashing CWM via Odin, however now if i try starting in recovery only the samsung boot screen shows up and stays there forever.
Please help me

Hi, all!
I have that annoying problem with all the 4.3 ROM I've tried with no exception. Everything is fine until the first reboot. Then it's stuck on the first Galaxy SIII boot logo. I'm using TWRP - the latest version if it matters.
I always wipe everything first.
Please give more details on how you flash it.

If you did all required wipes and followed the instructions did you try a different recovery? I read in the SB thread for example of people having issues with TWRP

I am sorry for the wrong section. May I ask some to move it to Q&A?
I always wipe data, cash, dalvik cash, system. Then install the ROM and gapps...
After the restart I set up the google account and etc. And after the first restart the phone freezes. That's all.
I'll try with different recovery.
PS. I've just tried CWM recovery 6.0.3.3. and Omega AOSP v9. Still the same.
Try cwm 6.0.3.6 and after you install the rom and after its set up go to recovery and factory reset

That's strange, I run Philz recovery and every 4.3 flash till now went through without issue.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I tried all the recoveries I could find. Including Philz. Still the same.
And something else strange. I installed CWM, CWM, touch and Philz and with them I made backups. After restoration of the backup the phone freezes. I also tried to install Omega 49 and the installation goes OK, but freezes before the first start-up.
The only solution was to install manually TWRP (Odin) to restore some of my old backups. I'm beginning to think that there is something wrong with my phone. It's black if it is important.
Suggest total wipe of phone install your stock rom and test
Hi,
I just want to say I'm also having the same problem.
Started using TWRP with full wipe, same issue on 4.3 and no issues on 4.2.
On latest CWM same problem and 4.2 wont even pass the first boot on Samsung logo.
Also had to use Odin to get back on TWRP and flash a 4.2 rom again.
Anyway there is one more thing I would like to try but haven't had the chance to do so, is installing the latest modem and ril. But I'm kind skeptic about that currently because there is also some risks and my S3 is my daily driver.
Don't change the ril on any custom as you stand a big chance of breaking the calls and Tex's. Modem yes but not ril. Do change to cwm and retry.

You are doing a full wipe?. System and data is the main thing to wipe not just factory reset. So go into mounts and storage and format data, system and cache there then flash the rom /gapps.

Hi, I think I did the following steps to get it working on my device.
1. Flash stock with odin
2. Hard reset
3. Boot up and finish first run menus
4. Flash twrp with odin
5. Format data with twrp
6. Flash 4.3 rom
I have a serious problem in my rooted S3. After flashing a problematic rom, i was forced to reset nandroid backup(i had already flashed the rom which i take the backup) Restore was successful, but suddenly I had issues with network("not registered on network") After flashing the latest modems from this video everything was fixed.
However when i flash a new rom from recovery, the screen always freezes on samsung logo. The only solution is to reset each time the latest that nandroid I had. In addition today, i have not acess in recovery(philz). What you suggest me to do? Sorry for my enlgish and thanks in advance for the people who answer.

If you want to return your device to stock just grab the correct carrier OTA file for your X and flash it via Odin and you will be 100% completely stock. No root stock recovery and stock Rom

I have an International Samsung galaxy S3 (GT0I9300) which is about 2 years old.
I tried rooting it using chainfire's odin installation method. The link I used is this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33305784&postcount=2.
I followed all the steps correctly. All went fine until the red android came up on my phone. Then after all the process was completed, odin also showed done! But, my phone did not bootup. It is looping in the Samsung logo bootup screen.
I tried all possible methods to turn on the phone, but it still stays in the boot screen itself.
Also my phone is not going to recovery mode when i press <VolUp>+<Home>+<Power button> so that i can wipe cache data, instead it just displays the android recovery logo for a second and reboots again and loops in Samsung logo screen.
I have very valuable data stored in the phone which is not backed up!!
This phone is my daily driver, so I would require some urgent help regarding this...
Please, give me a solution to make my phone work normally as before and also help to root it if possible without any hassle!!
Thank you!

Couple of things you could try (1) flash a stock rom with odin this should restore your phone but you will lose your data (2) flash a custom recovery with Odin either Cwm,PhilZ, or Twrp when finished flashing you can boot into recovery and wipe cache etc.

Link here please read instructions fully >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...covery-clockworkmod-touch-6-0-3-2-gt-t1719744 << Ideally you should wipe cache and data to stop a boot loop (but obviously you don't want to lose any data) so try wiping cache to see if that works. Even though you are stuck in a bootloop the cf auto root flash might have worked so you can try to backup data in recovery and see what happens.
To remove custom recovery you will have to reflash stock rom with Odin and you may have to accept the fact you may lose your data if it won't backup in recovery.

@tallman, I just flashed the clockworkmod recovery and wiped the cache partition.
Then as you mentioned I also tried backing up from backup/restore option.
The cache is wiped properly.
When i tired backing up, i saw two or three lines of message log from CWM and then device just boots up and is stuck at Samsung logo boot screen itself again.
Any other solutions?

@tallman, Thanks for the advise!
Why didn't the root work?? I thought the root worked as CWM requires root permission right?
Is there any other way to just bootup my device without having to flash a new ROM?? What is the reason for the root access to be denied? Can it never be rooted?
PS: Because I don't wanna lose any data. I had about 250-300 apps which I have been using and had saved a lot of info in them.

Yes you can boot to cwm again and wipe data cache etc but like I said all options now involve loosing your data.Plus this is not guaranteed to work depending on what whent wrong with your cf Auto -Root flash. That is why I suggested flashing back to stock with Odin this will return your phone to how it was before it was messed up (minus your data of course).

Sorry just saw your question about cwm requiring root..No Cwm or any custom recovery does not reqire root, recovery is a separate partition root is acquired through your rom. Technically you can flash a custom recovery and a custom rom without root because root is included in all custom roms. You need root to access system files that is why cwm failed to backup your data because it needs access to your system which it cannot have without root.Stock roms don't have root built in that is why you need to root them to access system files unlike custom roms which like I said have root built in to them

Yes ext sd will be fine this is where you will need to put your custom Rom anyway to flash it.Please read all the guides in the stickies before you start to make sure you know what you are doing. Also read the stickies about backing up your efs (VERY IMPORTANT) because if you don't back it up then you may have major problems later if you run into problems.

DO THIS
1. before re flashing the baidu rom do clear cache/ factory reset and wipe partition.
If it still doesn't works then
2. download an official firmware and flash it via odin, then re-root your device and flash baidu rom. It work work 100%
Let me know for any further assistance
