Serious problem help!!!!! - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a serious problem in my rooted S3. After flashing a problematic rom, i was forced to reset nandroid backup(i had already flashed the rom which i take the backup) Restore was successful, but suddenly I had issues with network("not registered on network") After flashing the latest modems from this video everything was fixed.
However when i flash a new rom from recovery, the screen always freezes on samsung logo. The only solution is to reset each time the latest that nandroid I had. In addition today, i have not acess in recovery(philz). What you suggest me to do? Sorry for my enlgish and thanks in advance for the people who answer.

I simply suggest you to flash some custom ROM,flash some patched modem and patshed kernel and hope everything will be fine.

Things are not so simple. I cannot have access in custom recovery menu. As a result it is impossible to flash a new rom, modem, kernel or restore a nandroid backup...

Download mod is working?
Flash stock rom for your region, through odin

have you tried reinstalling the newest CWM of TWRP threw downloader mode and then trying to boot into it.
i would try that before i restore to stock, i prefer TWRP but it is more of a personal choice.

So i flash custom recovery via odin and then i unroot my device. right?

If you want to return your device to stock just grab the correct carrier OTA file for your X and flash it via Odin and you will be 100% completely stock. No root stock recovery and stock Rom

[Q] Help I bricked my Galaxy S2

Hello XDAérs,
I unfortunately bricked my phone. I started with downloading ODIN and CF-Root-SGS2_XW_CLK_KF3-v4.0-CWM4. I was able to get into the download mode and open the .tar. This was succesfull, I got to see my homescreen after the reboot. After that I made a backup using CWM.
And this is where I made the mistake. I opened CWM and opened cm_galaxys2_full-65 by using Flash an update. The device booted and started to install this and afterwards got stuck at the yellow warning sign!
I was hoping to fix this by going to the download mode and using ODIN again but this didn't help.
How can I fix this?
#UPDATE: Can i fix this anyway in the ClockworkMod Recovery (Sound up + Home + Power ) ?
Greets
restore your backup
hold up instead of down when you start your phone..
down=download mode
up=recovery...
when restore is not helping try restore wipe... all data will be lost..
I accidently pressed backup instead of restore... -.-. But I chose the oldest backup afterwards. This didn't work and also a restore swipe didn't help.
Before you gave me this advice I had tried to install the .tar file threw ODIN again, might this have made the back-up and restore impossible?

No it doesn`t matter.
If you want to install CM7 go back to recovery Volume up + Power
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik cache
Format System in mounts and storage
Flash the rom and google apps
Done
Hey,
I followed your instructions but when installing the .zip file the installation gets aborted.
Should I try apply /sdcard/update.zip?
thanks in advance

NO, turn the phone off and go back to recovery and try again.
If that doesn`t work turn the phone off, go into download mode (volume down and power) than yes (power up) and flash a stock rom for your country with Odin.
---------- Post added at 05:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:14 PM ----------
Or if you have a working backup as i read in yout thread restore the backup
use recovery wipe everything data, cache and dalvik and see what happens...if that does not work if you can get into download mode flash litening rom with odin and you should be fine..
once you got litening rom on then check what rom you want to put or just go back to stock from the region you from

[Q] [4.0] Bricked?

I'm pretty sure I pricked my gp4. I have everything wiped on it (no rom) and when it enters recovery mode it fails to open /etc/recovery.fstab and cannot mount any partitions. When I try to enter download mode it doesn't even go to it, it'll just reboot straight back into recovery. I'm running cmw 5.0.2.7 and have terrasilent kernel. I really need help:crying:
Flash your stock ROM. It might work.

For download mode, instead of the 3 key combo, just boot and once the device is on, hold vol- and power until the device reboot, once it reboot, let go the power button but keep holding the vol- button. This should do the trick. Then you only need to flash the stock rom wich you can find in the recoverie thread in development section.

That worked great thanks! It fixed the recovery and mount issues but now when I flash a rom it says it's successful but it only boots straight into recovery.

Do a factory reset then clear cache and in advanced wipe dalvik cache.

I did that and it still doesn't boot into a rom. Should I be running a specific rom, kernel, or completely factory restore (which I don't know how to do)?
EDIT: I got it to work, needed to fully wipe everything. Thanks for the help!

boot loop after going back to stock.

Hi i went from the latest unlocked 4.1.2 united kingdom firmware to paranoid android 3.10.
i decided to go back to the stock 4.1.2 so i downloaded it and from sammobile and installed via odin 3 v3.07 but it is stuck on the samsung bootloop. i can hold the power, home and down which takes me into that mode but using power, home and up does nothing.
Is there any way i can get out of this boot loop and use stock firmware again?
thanks.
Can you enter recovery mode.....vol up+home+power
If you can, flash cwm recovery via odin and enter recovery mode and then factory reset

Is there a reason why it got stuck in boot loop? Was it because i didnt wipe cache and the other two things first?

Be careful because PhilZ as a option to do a normal wipe factory reset but also a option to install a new rom which formats all the necessary files to do that including your system (rom). This can leave you without a rom to boot into if you don't know how to use it propably,I would just recommend just flashing back to stock with Odin (and don't forget to factory reset after using Odin.

If you have tried flashing stock (and you have flashed everything correctly and wiped correctly) and you are still stuck in bootloop the only option I can see is to try the rescue firmware in the stickies forum.
Be very careful and follow instructions carefuly as it containes a pit file,if this failes then I would suggest service repair.

Tried to wipe again and booted up. It just took longer than normal (5mins) and then it booted up as normally. Thank you very much !
Now, if I want to flash Cyanogenmod again (Not Installer !), I just have to root and then flash Cyanogen Mod, right ?

Yep I agree don't use installer seen alot of problems with it... If you just want to install Cyanogen Mod (or any custom rom) with custom recovery then you do not need to root (only root if you want to backup or access anything from system), all custom roms come with root included. Just use a custom recovery wipe then flash your rom (factory reset if it bootloops) done.

Hardbricked my S2. HELP!!!

Here is my case.
Was on 4.4.4 SlimSaber with TWRP recovery..
So, i intended to change back to stock rom. Downloaded the stock firmware from sammobile
After that, I used ODIN 3.10 to flash the stock firmware. Everything goes smoothly. But, after the process completed, I have bootloop in the Samsung logo.
Tried removing the battery and replaced it.. still the same.
Now I cant enter the Download and Recovery mode. My PC still detects my device, ODIN still show blue sign when I plugged it in
Any advice for me to recover it?
