Hello Guys, I think i found the best snap on case for RAZR!. Glass and the kev back are scratch resistant but the body is not. This case does the job of protecting the body without spoiling the phone's sexiness and its very cheap.. I highly rec it .
Note : removing the cover is a bit hard i heard.
Price 10 dollars approx.
Product : Amzer® Clear Snap On Crystal Hard Case .
Pics and description: www[dot]amzer[dot]com/Amzer-Clear-Snap-On-Crystal-Hard-Case-P92668.htm
Have u tried it? Coz I tried the soft silicone case and didn't like it much. It sticks to the phone too much, hard to keep the phone inside the pocket.
Oh I'm interested !
I have a dynamic case which is really cool. Really glossy shinny rubber with tiny bumps over the buttons, really good design and its also really thin. Your phone will become as thick as the SGSII with this.
Xperia x10(Feralabs Rom) After trying all roms it was my Fav.
Now on the RAZR.
I see you Drinking that ¥Hateraid¥
Yeah I have tried it .. Will upload pics once i reach my dorm. It has made the phone sexier!! trust me it has got to be the best hard case ever!>
Will this case allow the razr to dock perfectly with the HD Multimedia dock/car dock?
Has anyone used this case ? Seems good for Daily use and to protect from scratches

I use otterbox and i like it so much
otterbox commuter is the best!
I was hoping with the gorilla glass and kevlar it wouldn't need much for protection. Wishful thinking perhaps....

Even though gorilla glass is tougher than normal glass it can still be scratched by diamonds, tungsten, and SAND! (Which is everywhere). The impact from a drop can easily shatter the glass as well. Worth protecting such an awesome piece of machinery.

I would agree, its cheaper, and slimmer than others and still offers hard and soft protection. Perfect.

That is why i still use protectors... I didn't on my bionic and got some good scratches and even a nick/chip.
Since day one on my razr i have used the static kind no adhesive, and they protect well; and are washable. One day, I don't know how it happened, but some how the protector got scratched or cut all the way through while it was in my car. It was several MM long. took it off and sure enough the cut went through the protector but the screen was fine. I was just happy I had that little bit of extra protection.
Otter box is by far the best i have used.

Hi,
For a few days I am using incipio ultralight.
www.myincipio.com/Motorola-DROID-RA...D-RAZR-feather-Ultralight-Hard-Shell-Case.asp
So far very nice.
It comes with screen protector also, unfortunatelly the screen protector covers the mic on the front (below home button). I found out, when I got a call and the other side could not hear me ))))

I have both otterbox & casemate, but I prefer the casemate because it is easier to get on and off. i also have to screen protector the came with the otter box on the unit - I dropped the phone for the first time today onto concrete with the casemate. no damage thank goodness!
I still love my Cruzerlite TPU skins. TPU is a great material. Looks good too!

Can you take some pics of the phone in the case?
Casemate POP!
I've tried about 5 different cases. Some of which include Otterbox commuter, Otterbox defender, Cruzerlite, Trident Aegis and the Casemate POP. The Casemate POP is by far the best. I haven't had any problems taking it in and out of my pocket, its sturdy and protective. The silicone and plastic are all one piece. Its called the POP because it just pops on. Definitely my favorite!
Anyone knows a case that fits the official motorola car dock?
I have a Razr (Euro version) not Droid Razr, but i assume they have the same outline.

Anyone tried this yet? Do you have any reviews on this thing?
Would really like to know as I am interested in ordering one for myself.
ULTRA CAPSULE FROM SGPSTORE, sorry can't post a link.
I bought their capsule line for my old XT720 and i didn't like the overall build quality of the case. The edges weren't perfectly cut...
just ordered one yesterday - will post my thoughts on it when I get it and spend some time with it.
just received the case yesterday and first impressions: great case.
comes with 1x Ultra Crystal screen protector (the screen protector quality is great, but the film does not cover the entire screen which is a bit of a let down) and lint free screen cloth.
The case itself is a hybrid soft matte feel type of TPU (not flimsy silicone), and fits easily in your pocket (bar skinny jeans) and doesn't attract any dust/lint. It has cutouts for all of the ports/speakers/mics/camera/etc and covers all of the main housing of the phone.
I would highly recommend this case to anyone in the market for one.. the RAZR is meant to be durable, but I find that it does scuff up and "mark" really easily.. plus you can never be too careful with a phone.
I'd give it a 9/10 rating.
Why does the screen protector have to cover the whole screen? All my past phones never had that
Sent from my DROID RAZR using XDA App
didn't say it had to cover the whole screen - it's simply my opinion and my preference that I would prefer the whole screen to be protected by the film. it's basically off by about 3-4mm from each edge of the bezel.

SGP Capsule
I bought one a month ago, and I like it! I like the thin feel of the Razr, I first bought a otterbox defender and it was HUGE, and the screen protector was built in and let dust under it. I am a carpenter and keep my phone on me all the time and it is constantly buried in sawdust.
The Capsule works fine, it offers the slim feel and some protection. The screen protector is great as well. The reason it doesn't cover the whole screen is because of it being so ridgid and if you look the Razr screen curves at the edges, if the screen protector was full size it would just flip up and let dust under.
that's actually a great looking case, never heard of the company prior to this thread, looks like a pretty good alternative to the otterbox commuter

I use a cover for my phone, the glass is Gorilla Glass so it should not scratch.
I am very happy with my case.

case makes the phone fat so no
TC tpu case, 3 bucks on Amazon, USB and headphone Jack holes trimmed wide to accommodate a variety of plugs. armorsuit screen protector (think that was about 3 bucks too). Had both since phone was a week old, roughly October 10 or so. Minimal increase in phone size, with decent protection. I work in construction, so naked isn't a safe option for my phone...
Sent from my SGH-I777 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-6
you can buy cases that are real slim and don't really add much to the phone. it still protects it. highly recommended!
I'm a huge fan of this. It's more expensive than a lot of cases, but you're buying two cases: a TPU (I think? some sort of rubberish material) skin, and a hard plastic shock-resistant outer shell. It also comes with two screen protectors, and has all of the cutouts (as well as incorporating dust covers for the speakers) for this phone. It's incredibly durable, and at $30 it's a pretty good value if you dig it.

Oh, and if you don't care for black, it comes in four other colors - which also determines the color of the underlying soft case.
I hate cases. Was shattering the glass on my previous iPhones constantly because of it and the fact that I am clumsy as sh$t. That being said I bought the case mate barely there case and it is great. I highly recommend it for being slim and protected. Really doesnt add bulk at all and have dropped this phone many times without a scratch. Good buy I suggest it for anyone who doesn't like bulky cases

I love Zagg's full body cases. If you don't want a bulky case zagg is the best cuz its really like a full body screen protector. They're expensive but they replace them without a problem if you have any problems
Otterbox can be a bit bulky, but it's tired and true (I'm using the Commuter version). I like having a phone with a bit more heft to it so I know nothing will happen when I inevitably drop it. Cut outs are pretty much perfect, with flaps to cover ports and keep out dust. Corners can attract lint, and my biggest gripe with it would be how hard it is to get on and off (it's a problem for taking out SIM card), but I never have cause to take it off very often anyway. I really like it thought, there's my 2 cents.
I'm using the otterbox commuter. I love it!!

Wife and I are using the official galaxy s2 mesh case. Not much protection but the buttons aren't covered and it keeps the camera off the counter. All we really need with almost no bulk added

Using the Diztronic Matte Back Black Flexible TPU Case
Note: the come-along screen protector is perfectly fitted but low quality.
I'm looking into ordering some.accessories for my Max's such as a case and screen protector. Don't want anything too bulky so I figured I can get some input here. Also do these phones require screen protection since they are gorilla glass or no? What's some other great access?

I bought a few cases from Amazon:
Hyperion tpu, diztronic and two androidified cases.
The diztronic is very good since it has cut outs for the volume and power, the hyperion is the slimest but there are no cut outs and that's just not practical.
If you like the design of the androidified cases then they would be your best bet at this point IMHO.
There is one case that i haven't tried but looks pretty good, qmadix metalix with kickstand, you can give it a shot.
About screen protectors,it is gorilla glass but I'd rather be safe than sorry, so i found some good quality ones on ebay very cheap, I'll try to post a link when i get back home.
Hope this helps!

Plus its not bulky at all.
$9.00 amazon.
Also in the market for a case so I'll be reading up on the suggestions.
As for screen protectors, my last two phones have both had gorilla glass and I've not use protection (ooer) and not suffered any damage. I am careful about where I put my phone though.

bought the hyperion case. not too crazy about it. the phone feels awesome without a case. i hate screen protectors. Not sure if its my crappy skills at installing them or if its the feel of the glass that i miss when they are installed.
any good armbands being used? i use my old Ipod touch holder and the Razr maxx does not really fit well. saw the generic amazon ones. just looking for suggestions. Also looking for headphones with the remote in the cord that work as well.

I did the same. I like it, but the buttons are just slightly more difficult to get too. I wish they just made the case to cover the buttons...
I own several cases for the Razr Maxx.
1. This one is so-so. Thin, but very little grip. See my review on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0072O4WWE/ref=mp_s_a_2?pi=74x75&qid=1346031779&sr=8-2
2. Silicone, moderate protection, not good grip unless you sandpaper it down, and makes my nose itch (I may have a very mild latex allergy) see my review here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0085OE26Q/ref=mp_sim_s_1?pi=SL500_SY125&qid=1346031994&sr=8-1
And this is the new vender for these silicone cases : http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008HU1WIO/ref=mp_s_a_1?pi=75x75&qid=1346031994&sr=8-1

Sorry. Was distracted when my GF stepped out of the shower
Let's continue :
3. Really good, thin, TPU case. Gives reasonable good grip all around and holes are cut out perfectly. Great price. My second favorite overall case : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251133609747#ht_2208wt_972
4. The Cimo s-line TPU case. A good alternative to the above TPU case. It's a mixed blessing. The back is rather slick, but the extra grip on the sides compensates. Read my review : http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007F3V48M/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?ref_=cm_cr-mr-title
5. Trident Aegis. Best overall case for my Razr Maxx. It does add some bulk but not as much as you might think. The added protection and improved grip are really good. See my review on Amazon : http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0077IQA16/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?ref_=cm_cr-mr-title
6. The Poor Man's Otterbox. This looked promising at first. Really good grip since it is silicone on the outside (albeit it itches my nose). And a plastic hard cover as the inner layer. Problem is that the plastic inner layer has cheap parts used to snap it on, so you can only put it on your phone once. If you remove it, those plastic hinges will easily break (mine did) and it won't work properly after that. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330769434307#ht_1629wt_960
7. Verizon shell and holster combo. Great product in that it has decent protection, great grip, and is not thick. It fits really well with optional belt clip. The only drawback is that the case does not form a lip around the bottom and top of the phone. I need a small lip to keep my thumbs base away from the capacitive buttons on the phone. As such, when I use this case, my thumb accidentally touched the menu or home buttons as I type in landscape mode... Very annoying.

Well the title pretty much says it all, just a basic thread asking some basic questions.
1) Do you use a case?
- If so which one?
- how do you like it?
- are you considering something else?/ If so which one? and why?
- Does it make the phone feel bulky?
2) Do you use a screen protector
-if so which one?
-how do you like it?
-are you considering something else?/ If so which one? and why?
-If you do not use a screen protector have you had any issues with scratches?

1. Yep. Right now I have a TPU case but I'm looking at an Otterbox or something similar. Need to protect it better from work.
2. Oh heck yes. Despite being Gorilla Glass screen scratches still happen. I currently use a Zagg invisibleSHIELD. They have a life time guarantee and mild scratches tend to heal so you no longer see them. I won't be switching to another screen protector because these work so well.
1) Yes.
Had this one: Transparent Clear Protector Case Phone Cover For Verizon HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE. Fit well, appeared to be good quality, but was bulky and slippery.
Switched to this one: Fosmon S-Curve Soft Shell TPU Case for HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE - Black Like it much better. Fits well, Not at all bulky or slippery.
2) Also Yes
Have this one: GreatShield Ultra Smooth Clear Screen Protector. Very clear, but super fingerprinty. Will likely switch to something matte someday
I am currently using a TPU case, but I am waiting for Seidio to announce their surface case/belt clip combo for this phone; I've use the Seidio surface with all my previous phones.
I used to use a screen protector but stopped about a year ago.
i use the Trident Aegis case.
so far, I love it.
http://www.tridentcase.com/shop-products/htc-fireball-adr6410l/aegis-case-htc-fireball-adr6410l.aspx
Come with the screen protector that is pretty good quality. It is less bulky than the Ballistic case (which i also have).
Issues with the Trident are the headphone jack cutout is not wide enough in the direct of the front of the phone, needs to be filed out a bit and it's fine. The hard portion of the case is a little slippery, the guitar pick shaped area in the back is for the silicon to come through and give you non-slip when laying it on its back, this guitar pick area could be a little bigger or the hard part a less slippery material.
The colors don't seem to be quite as vivid as they look on the site, i got the blue, instead of being as bright as it is on the site, its more muted of a blue which is still nice, but not as nice.
The size to protection ration is perfect for me though. I wouldnt be afraid to drop it but can still use it as my everyday case. Also the silicon is a dust resistant one, Lint comes off very easy.
I was not happy with the ballistic due to its size and the silicon on it is a lint magnet. The ballistic corners on it while nice for grip, make getting it in/out of a pocket a pain. The hard shell on the ballistic has a much nicer feel though and is not slippery. The ballistic also does not come with a screen protector.
awesome, thanks for the answers guys!
guys it's my turn!
1) I use TPU black case from Verizon only when going on and I think I may need the extra protection.
I really like the fit of the TPU case it fits very snug, and the cut-outs for the power and the volume buttons make it a perfectly made cse + cheap. :good:
2) Un-characteristuic of me, but YES, I currently do have one on, my dad got the phone the same day and got a package, so I tossed one on.
but I took it off tonight.
don't need it TBH.
gorilla glass will scratch yes, but I'm very OCD lol.
I'm using the Incipio Feather, very nice on this phone. Seems better quality than the one I had on my Inc2.
Using some Verizon screen protectors because they were 10 bucks. Not too bad but they have camera and proximity sensor cutouts which I don't like, so I'll find some that cover the entire front.
Actually saw a very small scratch in the top right corner of the screen the first few days - decided it was worth peice of mind to spend $10 on a screen protector rather than find out gorrilla glass could scratch somewhere more irritating later. Picked up the verizon screen covers and the one on there seems to be holding up against scratches too. They don't cover the sensors/cam spots on the front as mentioned above but since those are over black areas scratches may not too bad (??)
I also tend to drop my phone every once in a while so I grabbed a cheap black/white TPU case off amazon (I think it was $15 with shipping) but the cut outs are too narrow and the volume rocker is really hard to push to activate. I'm waiting on Seidio to release an active case option and if they don't (or its not what I'm looking for) I'll probably go to incipio duo pro sycrillic's line.
I've just order the S-Curve TPU case and the Cruzerlite Androidified TPU case. Gotta see which one feels/fits better. Since the Inc4G isn't as wide as my Inc2, I think the added bulk won't be a problem. One question I have is about the TPU material sliding in and out of jeans pockets. Does it get stuck and pick up lint like the silicon case or is it fairly slick? Is it gonna be a battle royal every time I want to pull this thing out of my pocket?

What do you guys think of the PureGear DualTek?
http://www.amazon.com/RAZR-MAXX-Pur...1346850574&sr=8-2&keywords=razr+maxx+puregear
I prefer the DualTek case as its not nearly as slick as the Commuter. I have both cases and the Commuter just sits in my desk drawer.
How easy are the buttons to press on either case? Does the PureGear have good fitment and easy button press?
I tried the commuter on the atrix hd I had and it was really slippery.
What color is wearing better, black or white?
I have the Otterbox Commuter and I find the power and volume buttons easy enough to press. I personally do not find the device slick at all. I have dropped it numerous time and the case has held up very well. It still looks new. I would highly recommend!
I corrected the first post to the correct case (For the MAXX). I wonder which case shows wear the least...white or black.

Since you have both, which case is slimmer? Also, which case slide in and out of your pocket easier? Do you find that the pure gear has more tendency to pop out with a frontal drop?
To me it seems the commuter is slimmer, and I find the DualTek easier to get out of my posket. I have not dropped the phone yet. Hope this helps.
The only problems I find with the commuter are the top gel inserts that cover the mhdmi and charger port. It is kind of hard to get off sometimes but that is a minor quibble. The only other problem is taking the case off and putting it back on. It's a pita!

Hey i just ordered the Dualtek case and I wanted to know hows the case holding up so far? Was it worth it?
I've had my Puregear Dualtek case for almost 2 months now. I love it! I have dropped my phone several times on hard cement and it just left a few nicks on the case and nothing on the phone itself. I've never had a problem with it falling out of the case on a drop. I do find that the phone is slightly harder to hold/use one handed with the Dualtek case, but I do have smallish hands.
