Hi, first i want to say sorry about my english level and thanks to people who reads my post.
I try to flash mi xperia mini pro sk17, with ..058 version of firmware, unlocked bootloader, rooted and with CWM.
Will follow the step by step instruction, and after instalation my phone is stuck on Sony Ericsson screen and nothing happens about 10 minutes and after then i remove the battery and try to enter in CWM and again nothing happens.
Does anyone have the same problem and how you resolve it ?
Thanks in advance for people who help me !
Respect for all XDA members !
Occured same problem, flashed my phone back to stock firmware until I find a solution.
Anyone has one?
ok...i will try to explain....I believe you have installed nAa-r2 CWM? It is defective CWM since it is put in system/ section... hybrom rewrites this section, thus, when you start recovery from system/ and try to install ROM, you try to erase CWM from under CWM....just update your FW to .62, install custom kernel you like and then make all wipes and install zip from sd card)

Yeah, I think the best way is to update to .62, then install b kernel (made by bbooff himself - unlock bootloader needed) then load Hybrom, then you can install any other kernel you like. But I have problem with X kernel with Hybrom, first one is bootloo and then draining batterry very fast ^^"

the rom is based on 0.62 Kernel, upgrade first to 0.62 then try flashing again, i dont know if this makes a difference but its worth a try
I solved my problem and installed Hybrom v12 now.
First, indeed, you need to have unlocked bootloader and .62 firmware, I used WotanClient to flash the firmware. Then I got other kernel, I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1440161 this one.
Then I entered the Clockworkmod Recovery(press power button one-two times, when the screen goes lighter on turning on). Then I followed the instructions from the Hybrom and successfully installed it.
I got WT19i, but should apply the same.

Hi all,
Today I tried installing Hybrom v15 on my sk17i device.
Attempt 1:
Firmware : .62
Bootloader unlocked, yes through SE,
Flashed Stock kernel with boof KERNELS successfully,
Installed Hybrom sucessfully, but it is taking forever to boot!!!
OMG!! what I am gonna do now?? Don't panic, calm down.
I downloaded .42 Firmware, flashed my firmware and thankfully my phone started again. But I still wanted to try Hybrom, So,
Attempt 2:
Firmware : .42
Bootloader unlocked already,
Flashed stock kernel with boof KERNELS succcessfuly,
Installed Hybrom sucessfully, but it is taking forever to boot!!!
OMG!! what I am gonna do now?? Dont panic, calm down.
I have .42 Firmware so I can flash it with anytime.
But still I want Hybrom on my device.
So any suggestion what am I doing wrong?
And also which kernel should I use?
And need help of pros around here badly.
I am developer but Android is like new turf for me.
So any help with resource is appreciated!!!
Thanks & Regards.
Wipe data....wipe cache...wipe dalvik cache.. and try with other kernel like rage kernel..
Sent from my ST15 using xda premium
Installed Rage kernel 3.0, but the result is same.
Stuck at booting from last 15minutes, now I am giving up my hopes on Hybrom.
Though thanks for reply.
I have a LWW, Hybrom has worked for me with Rage Kernel, X Kernel and booff's own kernel.
My idea would also be, that before install, factory reset/wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, and then install zip from sdcard.
Tried everything , but no luck so far..
Also tried NeroDriod n MIUI, but same problem.
It is taking forever to boot.
I guess I have to settle down with custom kernel only.

same problem for my mini(ST15i), cant boot after installing hybrom
First boot usually takes longer to create new Dalvik cache.
I have used many custom ROMs on my LWW, never had that kind of problem.
Could you confirm, if your bootloader is really unlocked? Dialer, *#*#7378423#*#*, Service info, Configuration, what does it say about bootloader?

In worst case, how long possibly it can take to boot for the first time?
And Yes, bootloader is unloacked.

Got same problem with my LwW!
Ihad problem yesterday.
Was going from hybrom v15 to v16.
Factory/cache wipe and dalvik wipe, installed hybrom v16.
Phone started but hangs and reboots if i try install apk´s, from market or from sd card, same problem.
Ok, giave it a second try, flashed again and same problem.... hmmmm
going back to v15, and wtf, same problem now on v15 rom
ok started searching and reading, and found A2SDGUI is the bad boy on phone
I have 2 partitions on my sd card and forgot to clean, format or wipe or whatever you like to do, to clean it.
Phone was still charging battery for next try, i formated sd card and then partition it ( 8gb card and gave 1 gb to secon partition ) copy hybrom v16 to the card only.
After flashing hybrom v16 works like a charm, but A2SDGUI still says Apps on SD but info tab shows nothing, all is empty... i tryed 4 different fileformats to format second partition on my SD card, but nothing shows up in A2SDGUI, so i deinstalled it and use now Link2SD, and it works like charm now on my ST15i Mini
Wont able to boot after any custom rom!
i tried to install several custom roms like nero droid following all the instructions...wiping out cache, factory settings, dalvic cache...etc
....wont boot....just show the sonyericsson logo and hangs there......wont even boot into recovery.....i flashed the roms 4 to 5 times.....kept my phone on for 12 hrs (whole night).......still stuck at that screen........

I have a week trying to install a new ROM to my phone (xperia mini pro). I follow the instructions, install the recommended kernel for each Rom. When i finish installing the ROM i reboot the phone put the kernel logo and don't do anything else (the last time i let it in the kernel logo for 10 hours and it didn't work).
I fix it using Wotan server. But what i really care about is that i want to prove new Rom, so if someone can help me i will be really thankful.
PS: Sorry if you think my english is bad, is because my main language is not english

Hello,
I'm having the same problem, I don't get it at all. I bought my Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) yesterday and so far I have been only able to flash stock rom and MiniCMSandwich AOSP Android 4.0.4 RC3, both of which work fine.
With all other roms I get stuck on the logo (depending on kernel - Sony, Sony Ericsson or Free Xperia logo). I do full wipe, dalvik cache etc. but nothing helps.
So far I tried: FXP 117 7.2.0, FXP 117 9.0.0 and XROM™ ICS RC7.
I tried different basebands, flashing in different order etc., no matter what I get stuck on the logo.
Could someone post a detailed step-by-step instruction how to flash either FXP or the XROM on the Mini Pro? Which baseband should I use (and how do I know it's the baseband's fault when the rom doesn't work), what about Wi-Fi etc.
I flashed Galaxy S+ (I9001) before and didn't have any of these issues.

I do exactly as it says. I had to flash stock rom before that, because update zip wouldn't work if I started from AOSP (or if I wanted to apply it after flashing FXP)
BTW, do I really have to flash stock ftf (kernel+baseband), which overwrites my CWM each time I want to flash FXP? I hate losing CWM.
Anyway, I did this:
1. I put the update.zip on the sdcard
2. I flashed the boot.img I unpacked from the update.zip using fastboot (went fine)
3. I applied update.zip using CWM
4. I did factory reset from CWM and wiped dalvik cache
After reboot - it hangs on the Free Xperia logo. I also tried flashing Rage kernel 2.8 with the same result. Oh, and does it matter if I flash kernel before or after the rom?

rage kernel is not compatible with cm7,
mostly kernel is flashed before the rom, but either way should work i guess..

That's because for some stupid reason you formatted the system partition, which must not be done on some ROM installations.
The CM7 installation requires info from the system folder, but since you formatted it, you don't have the info on your phone and installation cannot be installed.
Reinstall stock firmware, follow the same procedure, but do NOT format system, but do make factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache.
Well, I was asked to try formatting /system.
Ok, again then. BTW, is there a pre-rooted .62 stock rom somewhere? I only see .69, which isn't good AFAIK.
2 days ago I've tried to flash a ROM on my Live WT19i: i've unlocked the bootloader, rooted the phone, installed CWM recovery and then flashed the RC3 Android 4.0 ROM. I haven't flashed the custom kernel suggested in the thread of the rom, so now my phone is stuck at SE logo every time I switch it on.
As i've read in another thread, i've downloaded flashtool and tried to flash the kernel on, but it says that "the phone is not rooted".
So i've tried to flash the original firmware (.58, i have never upgrade it up to .62) and then i'm going to re-flash the ROM(this time being more careful to follow all the steps), but when I try to flash the firmware on, Flashtools says that "the drivers are not installed, you can find them in the drivers folder of flashtool". Over there ther's only an EXE file, but the situation isn't changed.
Now: Where can I download this drivers? But expecially, what I have to do to make my phone came on again?
THANKS TO EVERYONE IS GOING TO ANSWERING ME
(In other threads I have found something similar, but not really useful for my problem, so please don't tell me that there is always a thread for this, thanks)
try this the tool posted at this thread.
this thread also has a download link for all the drivers you will need.
have used this myself for unlocking bootloader and flashing kernels.
after you flash the kernel for the ICS rom,
boot to cwm, then install ICS rom again.
dont forget to wipe data and clear cache and dalvik before installing new rom.

The problem is that flashtool (and even this tool you have suggest to me) says "FAILED (remote: The Device must be rooted first)" when I try to install the kernel on. Is for that reason that i've thinked to flash the original firmware on and then re-root the phone!
What do you think about this? Thanks.

According to me, kernel installation requires only unlocked bootloader and having phone in fastboot mode. Root is not needed, because kernel doesn't use ROM files at all.
hi all!
after successfully flashing and rooting my neo v i started trying these excellent roms of XDA developers.
so, with locked BL, after installing XPERIA Ultimate HD and Zelly Bean i went for a try on Ice Cream pureness v14.
i guess my mistake was that after a full wipe from CWM i installed the ROM, the neo v patch and the upgrade without any reboot but the last one.
anyway, i am stuck on a bootloop now
can't access CWM (i guess because of system format....(?))
i flashed stock rom with flashtool but still nothing
i am searching for hours to avoid posting such an embarrassing "first post" but i really can't find a solution
thanx in advance!
EDIT : Just managed to recover the phone using Sony Ericsson update service software, turning it back to 4.0.4 stock. So i am going again for root etc. I guess there should be an easier way so if anybody knows it please share.
and if any admin could fix that "rootloop" in the title....
cheers!
Yes, there is an easier way. Unlock your phone bootloader with one of two methods. I would choose testpoint method.
Just some tips: When you flash zip, always do wipe cache/data (don't wipe system like someone does), check that it is for locked bootloader, for Neo V not L or Neo etc. I never had those problems. Anyway, I don't see advantage of those ROMs on locked bootloader except of removing bloatware, which you can do by yourself.
And it is called bootloop not rootloop.

Let me clarify this to you first,
CM doesn't work on Locked Bootloader.
So if you're having locked bootloader, there is one way to fix this:
Reflash ICS .ftf & do the whole rooting, installing CWM Recovery procedure again. Go to recovery & install the ROM with instructions stated in ROM thread.
If you have unlocked the bootloader, two ways to solve this problem:
1. Flash any other ICS kernel. Go to recovery, wipe everything except SDCard of course xD
Then power off the phone & flash kernel from CM9 zip. Install CM9.
2. If above doesn't fix the problem, reflash the ICS .ftf again. Flash CM9 kernel & install the zip usual way.
Cheers!

@Gemichi
If your Bootloader unlocked, you dont need install CWM or root your phone...
What you have to do is just flash kernel which have built-in CWM.
I advice you read again how to flash kernel,I see your post you install CWM,from that I know your bootloader NOT unlocked

Hello!
Remember this: You CAN'T use stock kernel with Cyanogenmod. You need to flash the kernel included inside the zip you downloaded.
And as far as I know, there is no CTC kernel for Xperia Mini or Xperia MDPI.
Since you already said that you unlocked the bootloader of your phone, try reflashing stock ICS firmware of Xperia Mini using Flashtool. Then if you want to install the ICS Cyanogenmod, download the zip file for your phone. After downloading the zip, flash the kernel that can be found inside the zip. That kernel has already a CWM installed so no need to install CWM manually. After flashing the kernel, install now the Cyanogenmod zip.

did u mess up ur phone in previous?!?! it looks like.
1. unlock bootloader is only once. it will STAY unlocked no matter what u do. so dont do it again
2.before installing a custom rom like CM, flashing a stock.ftf is good idea like u do, BUT:
a) make sure its the latest version of flashtool
b) install the drivers in the drivers folder of flashtool.
c) may install android SDK to get the google usb drivers (dont install ALL!!! just leave all like it is & install)
2.1 SO NOW if u flash a stock.ftf fw for YOUR phone, IT WILL BOOT 100%. ELSE:
a) u doing sth wrong (wrong fw etc)
b) ur phone is broken , a stock ics ftf will boot 100%, remember.
after this install cm like u say (kernel flash 1st than rom.--> boot)
