I locked my SIM by mistake,.. i called Bell, they gave me all 2 different unlocked codes (PUKSs) with passwords but i cannot find where to enter them...
Apparently tech guy mentioned that i should be prompted with a box to enter keys but i am not getting that box,...
I am running Neutrino 2.2 if that can help.
Any ideas?
Tnx
Umm.. What are you getting? If it asks for a PIN (and you don't know it) - make multiple failed attempts until it asks for PUK (you'll want the PUK1 code)
---------- Post added at 05:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:37 PM ----------
If it's not asking for anything, and just stating your SIM is blocked/PIN blocked/PUK blocked, whatever - you need a new SIM card.

When i power up phone i am going straight to Emergency calls only screen... here is the screen shot,...
PUK locked.. Yeah, you need a new SIM card. What's happened is you've entered the PUK code unsuccessfully too many times (you get 3 or 5 tries), and that locks up the SIM card.
Which method did you use to lock your SIM card?...
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
There is option under Settings to lock sim card,.. i entered PIN code cplt times and i guess it was wrong,....
Now Bell is telling me that i need PUK code wich they gave me, but im not prompted to enter it
If you needed to enter the PUK code, it would say "PIN locked - enter PUK", or similar.
Your PUK is locked. You need a new SIM - at least, when I worked for AT&T mobility, that was the only resolve for a PUK lock.

If there is a work around, make sure you tell AT&T about it lol
Uh, we used to send out SIM cards for free (charge if picked up in a store) - try calling customer care again, and see if they can do the same thing.
You might get somebody like me - I would just note peoples' accounts saying that we can give them a free SIM card in store as a courtesy.

I descover that in our device we can try push the unlocking code more than 3 time. Never say is hard locked. In my TG01 I try like 10 times may be more just for try something. And everiting its OK.

You have your sim blocked. When you put more than 3 times wrong pin the sim card is locked and you need to put your puk to unlock the sim. Just find your puk code for the sim card normally it come with the card bid if you don have it just call your provider and tell them you wost your puk code or just you never had one.
For unlock the phone for other provider you need to quit your original sim card an put for other provider then you enter you unlocking code.
Hi Bojan,
thanks but I tryed with the sim puk and also with teh sim puk2 but without success.
Network PUK is not the same as simcard PUK.
It looks like it's needed when someone has locked phone to use only with one simcard. This code can't be cleared by hardreset or new rom.

Big K, why 2 unlock codes? Where you found the second one?
Currently there is only one solution for SIM Blocked message. You have to use turbosim/xsim card.
I wrote a program that generates scripts for EasyClicker, which I run with MyMobiler. Entering codes this way is much faster than typing them on TG01. Unfortunately checking all 8-digit codes will take about 555 days
There is thread on some russian forum about network puk & G900. I'll try to find it and post it here.

My tg01 history:
I bought the phone on ebay, in latvia and come with sim + tornado sim, no signal, ols sim, just for example. With my three usim phone don't work, now I received an UK sim from orange, all ok, phone work in roaming. I got the puk code from my orange UK account but this one don't deblock my phone with other sim card. So, now I'm waiting for the Orange answer about my sim block. When I have news I post here. Thanks a lot

You need the sim ulock code. The cheapest is from [email protected] wit 10 pound send from pay pal and 25min late you have your unlocking code.
Be careful when you use sim like a turbo sim, usim and etc....
If You ask orange for network puk they will answer about sim card puk that You already have.
I have orange UK sim card and it's working too. With any other card I have SIM Blocked message.
bojan6, I have unlock code from Vitamise, but I can't enter it. I have to enter Network PUK first, then probably I'll be able to enter unlock code. So gino70, if You buy code from Vitamise it will be useless unless You enter Network PUK.

Because I saw that the turbo sim can break your phone with time.
That strange because a lot of people had their code from this guy and me to.
And if you put your orange sim card and its work the problem is not coming from the mobile. Chek the sim you use not from orange the other one. I think that is the problem. Try with sim from other providers and dont use turbo sim or other similar with it. Then post here what's happen.
I've tried about 10 different sim cards - always SIM Blocked.
Network PUK request appears on motorola mpx200/220 after 3 unsuccessful attempts to enter unlock code. Leaving phone for 8 hours at code entering screen works for motorola but not for tg01

And you are sure you have the correct unlocking code? When you asc for your unlocking code vitamise you give him the correct IMEI and original provider.
Can you post what error msg you have when you put the code?
From my understanding, once you get the code to a phone.
If my phone is a T-Mobile based phone do I,
Put the SIM card of the carrier that I plan on using the phone with -in my case it's WindMobile.
...and then enter the unlock code?
Or do I put an entirely different SIM (not TMobiles, not WindMobile) card in the phone from a 3rd carrier and enter the code and once entered turn the phone off, put MY carrier's SIM card in and power the phone on?
Anyone?
I just got my codes, kinda, sorta (not really, but I am) anxious to get my Vibrant going here.
Thanks.
Thanks.
So, doing it through the dialer, I got "Not registered on network" .
Will move to Vibrant specific fora...they'll help you
lol thanks Mod
Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?
The T-Mobile code given is giving us a "network unlock unsuccessful" prompt after we enter the code they gave us.
The IMEI is right, so... dunno...
Hi guys:
Can I unlock this device to use by another carrier?(out side U.S)
Can I use 3G sim(Microsim) or 3G network on it?
I'm waiting your answers guys.
I also have the same problem, help please

So after doing some research, i came accross a few websites that allow you to enter the EMEI number and spits out the unlock code
But my problem is, it talks ablout a unlock code, I do not know if the Tab10.1 LTE must have a phone app or somehting because I have restored stock rom and updated (Kies does not detect my SCH-i905, please help if you know how to fix), and I havent come accross a enter unlock code
Only when I restored stock ROM and recovery, it booted up and with my South African SIM card insterted, it showed 2 error messages
1.The tablet needs a sim card to carry on, please restart tablet
2. Ontop of previous msg, Sim card is froman unknown source
So I click okay on the Unknown source msg and I followed a youtube tut to bypass the "activation screen", the first msg.
Bypass method: press top letf corner, then top right, then bottom left (above icons), bottom right(above panel), and press volume up and voila!
So I updated after that because the tablet only showed me a MEID number, so after update I got a IMEI number,, but still
no keypad seen...
Apparently you need to go to applications>utitllities>calculator and enter: (+332286798378+
I dont know what is supposed to happen after that, coz well, it didnt work,
if someone has sim unlocked , please post the method!!!
I have entered the unlock code I received from AT&T and it tells me the request was unsuccesful. Any ideas as to why this might happen?

Why not just goes with the JellyBean? You are alreaedy rooted.
I was also slightly reluctant to go the app route to unlock the sim on mine, especially since the "legit" way seemed to be trouble free. On 4.0.4, I used #7465625*638*# to bring up the sim unlock prompt, worked without a hitch.
The AT&T rep also noted to me that you get 5 attempts before its permanently locked? any truth to that?
I originally posted this in the AOKP thread, since that's what I am currently running. I'll just paste what I had there for now.
Well, I'll be out of the country for a month or so, and I called AT&T to get the unlock code, which they gave to me after a few minutes of discussion as to why I needed it. However, putting it in yielded no results. I asked earlier (maybe in a different thread) if running an aftermarket ROM would have any effect, and I was told it would not. Was I told something wrong?

After doing some research, it seems that AOSP based ROMs seem to have issues with unlock codes. I'd rather not downgrade all the way back to stock, so if anyone has any suggestions or thoughts, I'd appreciate it.

Yeah I finally managed to unlock it. I entered the MCC/MNC number for the SIM I am using and it worked. But you need the unlock code to add them. I will post the steps later.
[Edit]
Here are the steps I followed:
1. Turn the phone Wi-Fi OFF and then turn device ON without SIM card.
2. Type *7465625*638*#
3. You will see the NETWORK LOCK screen
4. In MCC/MNC field, enter MCC/MNC code for the provider you want to use. (example: enter 310260 if you want to use this phone for T-mobile USA Sim Card; 310410 or 310380 for AT&T). Check this link for complete MCCMNC for your provider: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_Network_Code (It is very important to try all the MCC/MNC code if your New Sim Card Network has more than one code)
5. In CONTROL KEY field, enter the Unlock Code
6. Press OK
7. You should get a message: LOCK SUCCESSFUL
8. Turn off your phone, insert your New Network Sim Card and power ON. The phone should be unlocked.

This worked for me... but I didn't have a new SIM to switch too yet, so just put in the AT&T MCC/MNC and popped my SIM back in. Does this mean it's unlocked for all possible future networks now? Or do I need to do this process and put in a new MCC/MNC each time I switch to a different SIM?

I would just order an off network SIM off Amazon for 50 cents. I called AT&T yesterday and asked for the code so once I got the SIM from Amzn I just shoved it in the phone and when it asks for the unlock put it in and voila! Btw... once a phone has been successfully unlocked (at least through legit methods) it is permanent and the IMEI should be able to be recognized across all compatible networks worldwide.
This took awhile but It worked!! My phone was hard locked too.

Are you entering the code with the original SIM card in the phone? I don't believe that it will work unless the original SIM that the IEMI number is linked to is in the phone when you enter the code. Once the code is accepted you can then put a different SIM in.

Are you leaving the original SIM the phone came with in it when you enter the code? Unless the IEMI has been linked to a SIM already either by AT&T or other provider, I don't think the code will work. I am pretty sure when you enter the code the SIM is validated against the IEMI it was registered to. Once you use the original SIM and unlock it you should be able to put your new SIM in then.

I'm having the same problem as well. but if you have the original sim, it wouldn't ask for an unlock code in the first place. it only asks for the unlock code because of the invalid sim.

check your unlock code guys and make sure they are 20 digits. mine was 21 which is why i was getting the error. luckily i figure out which number was wrong on the first try and now my phone is unlocked. good luck fellas
You should be using SIM from another carrier then att. Could be your code is incorrect. Phone back and confirm.
