I think I am going to work on Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wifi (p4wifi) support next.
Source should be on github some time this week after I pretty it up a bit and very a few things on some pre Honeycomb devices.

This is exactly the kind of recovery I was wanting for my N1, it goes well with ICS IMO. Thank you.

Hey guys!!
This is my post after a long time.I have been quite busy for a while but now i'm totally free and i'm going to dedicate my time towards our device's development.
Stay tuned!!
TWRP2 Touch Recovery:
TWRP2 Recovery is a touch based recovery created my TeamWin which has a excellent UI.
Now its officially supported for FM6 variants!!
Download and installation:
Download and install GooMananger from PlayStore
Go to Options> Install OpenRecoveryScript
Confirm recovery install
GooManager will now identify your device and download and install TWRP2 recovery.
GooManager:
GooManager is used to download ROMS,Kernels,Packages etc and flash them via recovery(Like ROM Manager)
I'll be adding all my ROMs on goo.im so that they can by downloaded and flashed via GooManager.I request all developers to do the same.
Developers can check this link:http://goo.im/howto-rom-updating-via-our-app
GooManager also has a ROM update notification feature so since ill be making changes to the Cyanogenmod 7 ROM frequently you can stay tuned to the latest ROM update.

my samsung galaxy player 5.0 seems to love to lag... can anyone help me with some suggestions for less lag and more smoothness.
and as a side topic, how can i make my device not freeze during minecraft? i know for a fact that someone has already posted this, but i may as well say this here also, since it is relevent.
Note: i am sorry if this has already been posted and i have missed it...i went through 8 pages or so and i didn't find anything (except for the one about minecraft)
I would love to help you but...
There are three things I would like to know before hand
1) Do you have custom recovery? (e.g. CWM)
2) If yes to 1, then do you have a custom ROM?
3) If yes to 1 and 2, have you tried flashing any performance mods?

Hello.
I compiled successfully the ROM for the Galaxy Trend Plus (S7580). Now before I start messing around I wanted to port a recovery (I would prefer TWRP but CWM will be OK as well)
The problem is that the documentation that I found seems a little bit outdated (mid 2012), so I got a little bit lost with the explanations.
Also, compiling intructions make reference to CM7/CM9 source trees, but the S7580 has Android 4.2.2 and as far as I know it hasn't been ported to Cyanogenmod.
Could any guru around here give me any direction to successfully compile a working recovery that would allow me to backup/restore current 4.2.2 ROM in order to allow me to start messing a bit the ROM?
Thank you in advance.
I have been doing some research on XDA and some other sites to see what would be required to put android 7.0 on a nexus one.
I know, that sounds crazy, but I wanted to challenge myself and try to do something I should do more often - android development.
I have been sifting through the other nexus one ports and the builds and ports for the 2 phones similar to the nexus one, the HTC HD2 and HTC desire.
So far, It seems some developers have been successful in getting android 6 working on the HD2 and desire. I figured I would try to do so on the nexus one, seeing as it has identical hardware in a lot of respects.
I am wondering if my approach is on target. To get this to work, I think I would need:
-custom hboot to allow for booting off sd card for OS (internal memory too small for android 7, even if slimmed down)
-custom partitioning of sd card
-custom rom built from android 7 and nexus one hardware drivers
-porting of linux kernel from HD2 to nexus one
-boatload of debugging
-compile rom and kernel into one zip installation package
Is there anything else I am missing? I apologize if I am using the wrong terminology, I have only been doing this for a few days (but have been rooting and installing roms for years).
I figured it was my turn to dig a bit deeper and try development myself.
If anyone has any input, I would be all ears. thanks a bunch!
mods: If this post is in the wrong thread (or you think it should be pushed to nexus one thread), feel free to push it anywhere that makes sense. thanks!
I did some more research and I think It will make most sense to port the 3.0.101 kernel from the HD2 and then build the rom
I am going to try android 4.4.4 rom with the 3.0.101 kernel to see how that goes first.
The main questions now:
-am I going to need a new version of TWRP for the new 3.0.101 kernel, or can I get away with TWRP 2.6.0.0 recovery?
-will I need to make a new version of blackrose / hboot because of android 6.0 / 7.0 / new kernel?
thanks for any input!
i have a Nexus 7 (2012 version) that my daughter-in-law gave me (several years ago) because it would not boot. i previously reinstalled the OS and she was good for a while until the issue resurfaced. i get the spinning circles when booting and it just sits there. since this reoccurred (the second time actually occurred about 2 years ago which was a month or two after the initial encounter, been sitting there since then) i decided to see if i could fix it again.
have tried using Recovery Mode to no avail. only thing that helped after the first time was a complete OS reload. pretty sure i used Nexus Root Toolkit to do this.
rather than reload the stock Android i was thinking of loading the LineageOS. i believe that the LineageOS for the Nexus 7 (2012) is an unofficial release.
however, i have a question concerning what version to download. i was under the impression that even though it would be unofficial that there would be a single version of it, being maintained by numerous developers. but when i looked on the www.lineageosdownloads.com/download-nexus-7-2012-lineage-os/ site it links me to the Android File Host web site. and here it has the developer being 'aaopt'. but if i poke around i see other developers for the Nexus 7 (2012) each seeming to have their own version.
are each of these developers creating their own fork of some base release and if so how do you know which one you want? or was their release done at some point in time and their changes got merged back in the main branch.
i would much rather grab a release that is maintained by a bunch of developers (working together) than someone who forks off their own branch.
if you have a suggestion as to what would be the latest/best release could you provide a link?
thanks!
