Btw, not sure this is just a "today only" deal as I got this the other day. Most of the free apps from Getjar seem to be there for a while. So, not sure how long it is going to last, but it is definitely one that I liked from them. Lots a nice widgets to get since it is the paid version for free.
Zug
its still up there if anyone wants it.
Still there. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for the heads up. Btw swiftkey is for free aswell.
Does this site link it to the marketplace as well, so that you get future updates?
thank you nice catch

Nope, you get what you get and that's it no updates on getjar. If you try to update on Marketplace you can, but they'll charge you the full price.

hmm backbreaker doesn't work for me..
There's quite a few good free (paid?) apps on there. I don't understand why someone would publish through them, but looking it up online it seems legit.

I would bet that the sales for those apps went down so either getjar paid them to be able to publish the website(and they recoup the cost with their ads) or the app dev gets a cut of the ad money based on how many times their app is downloaded from the site..
edit: just looked at their site:
GetJar generates revenue through its PPD (pay per download) system which allows developers to get premium visibility in GetJar’s store and distribution partners by bidding for ad slots.
Woot! Dling now!
what the title says. Really fun game, you guys should grab it asap

It was free for forever on Getjar but then it was put on the Android Market for money and then the one on Getjar was changed from "free" to a paid app too.

The app is still free....
cut the rope via GetJar
The only drawback on Getjar is that we won't get updates like Amazon Appstore has. Getjar is free but you get stuck with that ver no for each app, no updates or bugfixes.

yes, but its free!! lol so if you missed the free app on amazon then you can get it free here! and most of the apps will alert you when there is a new version available. Most of them are coded with checking the Home site. Like for example on cut the rope you can actually manually check the site for updates.... Not that big of deal IMO
HI,
I just stumpled on the site getjar. They offer paid apps for free. How do they do this? No, I am not affiliated with this site. Just want to know if it's the real deal.
Thanks
I don't know how they go about negotiating with developers to offer apps for free, but getjar is legit and has been around for a LONG time!
Real deal, no tricks! Getjar is really good!
How do you get it to work with our phone, there's no galaxy s ii option

go to there website on the browser and you should be able to download the getjar.apk file
Apparently NEW installs of Swiftkey 3 from the Amazon App Store aren't installing correctly. Installs from Play store are fine.
I know a lot of people use Swiftkey and I ran into this problem earlier.
From Swiftkey forums.
Hi – we are in contact with Amazon and trying to resolve this. We have temporarily removed SwiftKey from sale on the Amazon Appstore until the issue is resolved.
The issue is specific to Amazon, no other app stores are affected.

I tried both the other day and found the same thing the store would work but Amazon not. Not sure when it will be back but its removed from Amazon for now I guess.
I wonder if it would fix things if we posted the apk from amazon when it worked. Not sure if it would be against the rules. It would still have the license check with amazon.

An easy fix that I used was downloading the free trial from Google Play. It works for 30 days. If they don't have it fixed by then, that's pretty sad.

I did the same, downloading the trial.... Winder if any features are held back from the trial, none that I can tell.
Could someone post the working apk? it shouldn't be against the rules because it does have the license check with amazon.

yea i sorta stopped using the amazon app store because of this and many very lame issues with buying stuff from amazon. like i couldnt get updates even though the updates were already live on Gplay.

*I apologize, as I'm going to copy/paste this to all three SGS4 sections as there is no central place (other then Member Found Deals) where I can post this. Member Found Deals isn't a high traffic place, so I decided to post here*
This is a deal site I have personally purchased from before, and they are a legit site. I was just looking through and saw they had the free TPU case for Samsung Galaxy S4. I don't own one, personally, but I figured I'd share the link.
