Display brightness help - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I'm using resurrection 9.3 ics rom.
One bug is driving me bananas, when I turn off auto brightness and set it as I want. A few mins later its set to auto again. I hate auto brightness, the up down up down of brightness wrecks my head lol
Any help or is it just a rom bug

Vibrant backlight

I have a rooted stock T959 and my backlight fluctuates bright to dim even when charging. I have SetCPU installed along with rom manager and clockworkmod. Someone help this fluttering is really annoying

Its most likely changing because its changing for the light conditions. Go to settings. Sound and display. Scroll to brightness and uncheck auto brightness. It should stop.

Thanks I feel dumb to have missed something so obvious. It slurred my mind.

Not picking on anyone, but just to clear up the terminology ...
The vibrant does not have a "Backlight", it has brightness ..
AMOLED pixels are self illuminating , hence no need for a backlight ...
That's what I meant

[problem] xxlpq ics rom - cannot change wallpaper when gpu on

Dear all,
I have found a strange problem in the official release of Galaxy S II ICS ROM XXLPQ. When on Developer Options you check the "Force GPU Rendering" You cannot change the wallpaper of your home screen. Gallery Crashes all the time. Only Live Wallpaper can be used. Has anyone came across this problem.
Also please advise how to fix it?

Disable gpu rendering, change wallpaper, then enable it back?

I am doing it right now but its shouldn't be a normal practise. It Is irritating. There must be a fix.

Just went through some settings in Light Flow.. but didn't see any setting GS that would do what you want. There may be an app out there, but natively I don't think its doable.

Custom vibration alerts??

How to modify vibration strenght (intensity) and number for each alert.
for example, in go sms pro i could choose the number of times it vibrated and how intense it would be, it was perfect!.
Unfortunately, i do not want to use go sms pro...so i tried some other apps but their vibration intensity was way too low...i need it to be more intense than the default one, not too much, but more anyways....

R: Custom vibration alerts??
Oh i forgot to specify: ive already tried intensifying the vibration thru samsung settings: it works. Its not perfect, but its good.
What im interested in, other than possibly having it set a little higher (in terms of intenseness) is custom vibration for sms notificationS. If i go to "sound" in the settings i can set a custom vibration for the phone calls, but not the messages. To do that i have to go in sms app(stock) and settings from there, they have almost no settings for vibration (just enabling it and having it repeat a notification after a min of 2 MINUTES, how messed up is that?).
Anyways i tried other apps like vybe and stuff, and they DO manage to set up custom notification patterns, but the vibration intenseness is reset to minimum...sucks...
I wanted to specify this just to anticipate any answers that could not be concerning my problem.
