I can't install ROM's, when i reboot the I am don't coming to the bootanimation.
I can't use the Update service it doesn't work, and PC Companion think my phone is a X10 and a update phone doesn't display.

Test on CM9 ICS V01 KANG
Hello!
Today I was trying the CM9 ICS on my phone with Fa kernel.
It works perfect but I don't have Wifi.
I don't know if this is a ROM bug or the kernel fall.
If somebody knows why the nAa kernel doesn't work on my phone comment please. I was unlocking my bootloader with Lord AIO Tool.
Sorry for my bad English

I use the SEUS to get back to Stock.
When I was flashing the nAa kernel the it never comes to the Sony Ericsson screen. Do anybody know how I can use the nAa kernel without trouble?
Now I gonna go back to Stock.
I am waiting for the Miui form Paul-xxx.
I hope it gonna be using without kernel.

Try to use the Sony Ericsson Update Service.
You can download it from here.
Download
There can you get back to stock and then install the CM9 or Miui v4 or an other ROM.
Enjoy

Hi guys,
I have my sisters SE x10 mini. I have rooted and it is 2.1 android and also installed xrecovery. When I install any custom ROM like GingerDX or MiniCM7 and then reboot, i go into a looping of the SONY ERICSSON logo and never go into the ROM. But lucky i have taken a back up of the previous stock ROM and I am able to enter the xrecovery and restore back. I have tried several ROMS like SROM too and same result. Please help.
When you installed them, do a factory reset in xrecovery then reboot

To install ROM GinggerDX you have to install it through CMW Recovery, not Xrecovery.
to install MiniCM7, you must unlock bootloader and flash kernel nAa before instal the ROM.
for more details please read the installation instructions on thread ROM.

I'm using nAa kernel v0.9 and his rom CM7 2.1.7 for x10 mini pro, best rom and kernel for our little phones
SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) is possibly the simplest to go back to stock as you don't have to worry about downloading the right rom and kernel and all of that. Just install, run and have a cup of coffee while you wait.
It doesn't root or install CWM though.
By the way, what problems are you having with the rom and kernel?

Stock!!! Whz would someone wanted to go back on stock?
Have you try minicm7 2.1.7 + nAa 09 kernel ??
I just flashed to miniCM 2.1.7 + nAa-09. Very satisfied! as I always am with MiniCM
Feel-good-story:
I was in the process of buying a new phone about a half a year ago when I decided to try a custom rom (miniCM). After that I felt like I got my new phone, and it's still going strong...
I actually think I would rather use my old Nokia 6100 instead of a X10 mini with stock rom!
HI evryone,
I am just a beginner using android for few months... My device is Xperia X10 Mini pro U20i..
I tried to upgrade to MIniCM9 3.0.1 from CM7 (CM7 was working wel, i just wanted to upgrade)..
I downloaded MiniCM9-3.0.1 [5/5/12]ICS 4.0.4/CM9 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1636501
I wiped cache, user data and dalvik cache n tried to install CM9 rom.. It installed successfully, but I received a warning message. 'Should have kernel flashed to atleast ics-nAa 01' like dat...
But when i rebooted, it didnt go beyond d Sony Ericsson logo.. I went back to stock 2.1 using SEUS..
Then I rooted mobile using SuperOneClick 1.6.5 n rooted successfully. But wen i flashed the kernel 'U20_nAa-ics_01_2.6.29.6-nAa-ics-01.ftf' or 'U20_nAa-ics_01_2.6.29.6-nAa-ics-02.ftf' from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1636504, it couldnt flash.. I get an error ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_DYNAMIC="SIN header verification failed"..
I tried flashing with flashtool 0.2.9.1 and with flashtool 0.7.1.0 but i couldnt get it done..
Can anyone help me with dis? Why do i receive dat error message? How can I upgrade to CM9??
While upgrading to CM7, I never flashed my device. I just rooted it, installed xrecovery n cleared factory data, disk cache, dalvik cache n installed d rom... So, is there any similar way to install CM9 also without using flashtool?
Thanks..
You need a custom kernel for MiniCM9, and the reason you can not flash this kernel is because your bootloader is locked. In the kernel thread there is a link to the tutorial on unlocking your bootloader, but please be careful, it doesn't work for everyone
Thanks for dat...
Is there a way we can install CM9 on U20i without unlocking bootloader?
Also, plz tell, does SEUS work after unlocking bootloader?
No you can't install MiniCM9 on anything other than the nAa-ICS kernel, and for that you need an unlocked bootloader
Yes, seus or pc companion will still work with an unlocked bootloader. the worst that can happen when unlocking the bootloader is that you will lose the ability to use your phone as a phone (disabled radio-capabilities). Check if it still works before flashing a kernel and custom rom, if it doesn't relock the bootloader and stay on stock kernel.
How to relock Bootloader? Link for U20i Stock Kernel..
Oh. Thanks a lot..
How to relock bootloader? I saw in a forum somewhere that there s no way to relock bootloader..
Also I tried to download the stock kernel for U20i from this page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225... They have given the link for downloading the stock kernel as http://db.tt/ukt80PBn
But the link doesnt work. I have searched many times but could neither open it nor find alternative link.. Can u plz tell any alternative link for it?
Thanks so much for ur responses..
First of all, you can relock your bootloader using S1Tool (by pressing the restore button), but if it is succesfully unlocked there is no need to relock it at all, unless you need to take it back to the shop for repairs under warranty.
(I can't remember where i got the latest version of S1tool from, i'll search for it later if you need it)
as far as the stock kernel is concerned, just do a repair with pc companion or maybe seus, i usually use pc companion. it won't relock your bootloader but will install a fresh stock kernel and rom. After that you can root, install recovery or cwm whatever you used and restore the backup you hopefully made of your MiniCM7 rom.
Mind you: At this moment Minicm9 is not an upgrade yet in the sense that it will make your phone work better or easier, it's still very early in development and not that easy to get working well, if you need your phone on a day-to-day basis, stick with MiniCM7 for now.
Thanks a lot for that info..
I hav no complaints wid CM7. I just wanted to upgrade to ICS since it is out there.
I'll try unlocking bootloader n cm9. I'll go back to cm7 if it doesnt work or if it isnt suited for day-to-day operations..
Thanks so mch for ur help.. I ve understood a lot.. Thanx again.. :-D
If u find d link for S1tool, kindly post it..

If you want to run MiniCM7, by nAa, you need to unlock your bootloader and flash the nAa GB kernel (currently at version 13).
If you want to run MiniCM7Pro, you can run it without a custom kernel and without unlocking your bootloader.
They are two different ROMS with almost the same name, i can understand why that can be a bit confusing
MiniCM7Pro
Thank you very much SmG67, for your fast and valuable reply. Am a newbie here and I am trying to learn the things.Your information is really cleared my fear about bricking. I have few doubts to share with you sir,
What is the main difference between minicm7 and minicm7pro ?
If I opt minicm7pro now, then Can I upgrade or install minicm9 later ?
Minicm7pro by Bpaul is not giving any instruction for how to install it. So where can I get the instructions

Minicm7Pro was a port to the x10mini-pro from early MiniCM7 for the x10-mini, but it got updated to the latest Gingerbread, while still working with the stock kernel, minicm7 was released later and moved to the nAa-custom kernel, which gave it some performance benefits.
If you can unlock your bootloader, you can flash any kernel and rom you like that is available for your phone, but MiniCM7Pro or ArcMini Nxt (which runs on just about any kernel) are good places to start anyway.
for installing MiniCM7Pro you need:
2.1.1.A.0.6 firmware with *4015 baseband (check Settings - About Phone, the baseband should end in 4015)
Rooted phone
ClockWorkMod Recovery
Copy the MiniCM7Pro zip to your sd-card
Boot into CWM (press back-button on the kernel-logo)
Do a backup
Install the ROM
Wipe factory-data/reset
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik-Cache (in CWM advanced)
Wipe Batttery Stats (in CWM advanced)
Reboot and enjoy
MiniCM7Pro

2. If yes, How can I install old SE rom ?
3. Can I install MiniCm9 over JB nAa kernel ? because it will reduce my job when am moving to ics to JB rom

Hi Guys!
I had root my Xperia Mini Pro and instal CWM.
I'am on GB.
When i instal a ROM, Real ICS or Real ICS lite, i can see only sony ericsson logo.
I waiting during 15min, and nothing has change.
Now I unlock bootloader , but i always see only sony ericsson logo, when i start the phone after rom installing.
What can I do?
I never had there problems with my old x10.
PS: "From the downloads section, download kernel installation package and extract the folder."
Where is this section? Where can i download kernel instalation package? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27376017&postcount=2)
I'am sorry for my very bad english.
every rom has its specified kernel
For stock based ICS Roms you can flash
Rage Kernel(v3.2)
Krsh Kernel
Mesa kernel
for CM 9.0 flash the kernel included the zip file by FXP
there are some kernels for GB roms as well you can search them
So, if i want to instal RealICS rom, i must instal first the rom and next i instal specified kernel with fastboot, yes?
Beacuse RealICS dont work with stock kernel.
PS: If i flash Krsh kernel and next i instal a stock rom with flashtool, Krsh kernel is remplaced for stock kernel?
First kernel, then rom.
And, make sure u have unlocked bootloader to install custom kernel.
Or, u can use rom which based on official ics. Like expeacer rom.

Hmm, it is complicated ; o
I'm sure, my bootloader is unlocked. I check in system info.
I'am on Stock GB , rooted with CWM and unlocked bootloader.
And now i want to instal RealICS. I have to instal Krsh kernel for ICS, but i have GB. How i do? First i have to instal Rooted ICS ? And later i instal Krsh kernel for ICS and I instal RealICS rom?
Or can i instal RealICS with rooted GB?
I'am lost ; |
D'oh. They already gave the answer yet u still ask the same question again.
U need to read, lots and lots of reading.
- turn off the phone
- boot to fastboot and flash ICS kernel
- when booting up ..enter cwm
- flash rom
- reboot
an0nym0us_ , that's right i have to read a lot. Beacuse i not understend a lot of words.
And i want to be sure for the instalation, beacuse i try a lot of times, and i had always sony logo.
Thanks for all the anwers ; )
Now i go to instal the rom.
I follow caer_ayu's tuto.
do a full wipe
and
format system (optional)
before flashing new roms
good luck m8
My guess is u didn't do wipe data in recovery before flashing the rom, hence the stuck at boot.
Good luck.
First things look complicated. Once you understood the basics all is much easier.
Most custom roms need custom kernels. Custom kernels can only flashed with unlocked bootloader.

jb kernel and rom didn't install any, would install it after the kernel
the phone had the factory rom
I was googling and found something about chargemon, that control the battery, in the /sytem folder
Can be that?
well
download any jb rom
and when the naa kernel shows
start tapping the back button
u will get in clockwork mod
do a factory reset
wipe dalvik cache

Yeah I read it everywhere, but the problem is that the phone doesn't turn on.
Sorry for the double post, but nobody knows how to revive it?
I have similar case here. I hope it could be fixed by direct ROM flashing by UART. I ordered USB-to-UART connector, when I get it I share my experience.
And here is another one
