I am getting the "your device is not compatible with this item" when trying to update programs and apps. This hasn't been an issue in the past. I am using a gs2 running hyperdroid v6.1.17.
Any help would be appreciated!
change DPI to 240 and clear the data on market and it works!

Ok. I bought this G Tab knowing that I would have to install ROMs, tweak .prop files, NVFlash, CWM, RootExplorer, etc. No problem there.
But now I have had it with this new Market. Many (if not most) applications are showing as incompatible with my tablet even though I already installed them. My beloved Word With Friends now requires an update, but I can not install it from the Market as the new Market believes the app is incompatible with my ROM. That is the last draw as I cannot play it anymore.
So does anybody have a market.zip that has Market 2.3.6 so I can go back to the old market? I have the .apk files but I think I need something that could install via CWM (BL 1.2) since all the apks do not work if you install them by themselves (they all FC). I would freeze market updater so it does not upgrade again to 3.x.
Thanks

Installed the GAPPS and it did not install the market. Tried uninstalling Market and Market updater first and still no go.
It looks like something is blocking the old market from being installed. I extracted it and installed it myself but it then FC everytime it started.
Very frustrating. This is the kind of crap that is going to kill android. It just looks like Google is purposedly trying to lock out aftermarket ROMs from accessing Market apps.
This happens to me frequently. The solution Ive found is to stop the market and clear data. After this is done, launch the market and youll no longer get the error. Sometimes Ill have to do this 3-4 times a day. Good luck.
Interestingly enough, I think I got a workaround. Through some investigation, I found out that the problem was that many apps were being filtered because of the screen resolution. So I started working with the density property in the build.prop to find out if there was a magic number that will make things work like they used to. It appears that I did find that number and it is 160.
So I updated the build.prop line with Root Explorer:
qemu.sf.lcd_density=160
After that I cleared the Market app data and the Google Services Framework data. Rebooted and everything that was previously installed seems to be recognized and the applications started updating again.
I've recently purchased a skyworth 39e780u TV which had a customized android 4.0 installed, I've managed to root it but I'm having trouble getting the play store to work correctly.
I've installed the latest gapps and a whole bunch of different modded stores but all I can ever see are 3 games under the games section - 'world of goo' 'My Boy!' & Pool Break pro, everything else appears as incompatible and even with the modded stores with no restrictions clicking on install doesn't do anything.
I've tried changing the DPI and build.prop and still the same thing (Yes I've cleared caches), does anyone know what the problem might be?
Hello. I installed cyanogenmod 10.2 on my samsung galaxy s3 and asus tf101g, and it looks like both of them have one problem with apps showing in play store.
For example I have buyed Mantano Reader Premium and it's showing on "All" section, I can install it and it'll work, but it wan't show in "installed" section, so i'm not getting any update notifications or such. I tried to restore market links with Titanium backup, but it did nothing. In fact, i think the links are ok, because it was installed from market. App reinstall obviously not helping too.
Searching solutions i got some varians:
1) Use Market Helper by Jummy: com.jrummy.apps.google.play.api
Didn't help. I tryed to delete market cache and data, modify device properties in Market helper and reopen market. Nothing helped
2) Modify build.prop and set ro.build.fingerprint to some "good' value.
Didn't help. Actually i found that cyanogenmod already have some value from samsung s3 stock rom, and I also tried to modify it to something from other devices, remove data and cache from market and restart device. Also got nothing.
So, is there any good solution? What exactly is restricted:
- Device name?
- Android version?
- Region?
How I can find and fix that?
For example here is some affected applications:
- Facebook
- Mantano reader premium
- Whats app
They appears in "all" tab, u can install, but it wan't came on "installed". Wan't appear in search also.
I'm using market 4.4.21.
Thanks for helping.
Hi,
Recently, I have been VERY frustrated with my phone as it is not possible to install ANY apps. I am using a Huawei Ascend G510, unrooted, running Android 4.1.1. I heard something about luckypatcher, but I do not have it nor could I find it on Google Play. Google Play keeps saying "Insufficient storage available". I have over 120 megabites of space for apps. I tried cleaning cache and data but it did not help. What's really weird is that I couldn't even install the app with an apk ! What should I do? Is a facory reset needed (I hope not, as I can't even install a backup app...) ?
Thanks,
Matthew Smith

By the way, the app I'm trying to install is 21 megabytes in size.
Good day!
I'm using a device running in Android 5.1 (with MediaTek - MT6592m).
I am encountering Error Code:-504 on "SOME" apps and games when downloading them on playstore.
When I try to download the apk file of those apps and games to install, it results to "Application not installed".
BUT those apps and games should work fine on Android 5.1 ...
Is there any definite solution to this?
My co-unit users, find a way on how to install them.
They use a certain third party app (that I can't name) and choose to install those apps and games as "system app".
The pain there is that, why do we need to root just to install supposedly normal apk.
Hope someone could explain or give solution to this.
Thank you very much!
