Problem fixed
Have you ticked advanced mode in settings?
AOKP 4 LYF
yeah ive tried that too. Still just wont let me tick the boxes, so i tried Uninstalling it, and reinstalling it. still nothing.
Try setting superuser to auto allow all
AOKP 4 LYF
how do i do this?
you mean like.. when superuser comes up, auto allow it? if so already done that when first booted and when i had to reinstall.
* btw i dont know if this will help, but the only thing i can actually click, is the * Download cache part. which says i need to reboot, so i try and reboot with S2E and it says superuser persmissions granted and does nothing.. go back nothings changed, says i need to reboot still, so i reboot manually. open up again, and its still the same lol. saying i need to reboot..
RIGHT at the bottom of the list,
" Moving from /cache to /sd-ext
Reboot is required! "
auto allowing is not recommended.. malicious apps may take advantage of root [which can do anything]

Running out Of Memory
Turn off phone, Remove your sdcard. Check with mini partition home edition what is your secondary filetype (ext2,3,or 4). Format to ext4, then on s2e, tick mount as ext4. Reboot and voila.

No matter which FroYo Release I try, "Fix-permissions" doesnt seem to work properly. Regardless of what i try, it only fixes permissions for the CWM app itself. So its shows two lines of text for CWM, and its done. Any one know why this is happening?
Ps- I've tried completely un installing CWM and deleting its folders and everything associated with it but to no avail. I'm out of ideas...

I take it that everyones ClockWork's "Fix-Permissions" works perfectly fine? Any input would be nice. THanks
You need to get into the actual clockwork recovery and fix perm there. So, open ROM manager, select reboot into recovery, select re-install packages, clockwork recovery should boot up, then goto advance options at the bottom of the list and select, then you should see the fix perm option about half way down the list, select it and your done.
I have the same problem. I'm thinking it's to do with CWM needing to be updated for the vibrant. Since there is no current 2.2 official/supported release it will not be updated as of yet. I haven't contacted koush(dev), but I'm sure he knows.
Even if you do go directly into CWR you can select it, but it doesn't seem to scroll the script...
I am using the stock Froyo eugene posted and I am not having any problems with ROM manager or CWR. I have done two backups with ROM man and wiped cache, dalvik cache, and fix permissions in CWR and it worked. I even got the fix permissions log on my SD card.
This must be it, because same thing happens if i try from the recovery. Is there anyone that can get fix-permissions to actually run the entire script? Would be nice to know if its a select few, everyone, or just us two

Im also experiencing this. Im running AOSPish froyo.
[QUESTION][GalaxyS2] Questions/Help with internal memory, customized ROM, "true" fact
(1) I need to completely wipe, remove, restore my phone to absolute stock. I am having some weird issues and want a "clean slate" to work off of. I currently have AJK (with custom initd and extweeks), cwm recovery, and cyanogen installed. I want all of it removed and want to start from scratch. What's the best way to accomplish this?
(2) upon completing Q1; I have a very small internal phone memory, somewhere around 1/2gb but I have a 32gb SDcard -- is it possible to format my SDcard to allow it to be used as "phone memory" so I can have more apps installed? I know there is the "move to SD" options, but this is not what I am looking for since this does not work for widget apps. Also I have a difficult time downloading apps without getting the "insufficient space" error via the play store during app installs.
I am so tired of having to uninstall apps just to install or test new ones. There has got to be a way to use my SDcard as phone memory
I have:
- 100mb out of 1.97gb on Internal Storage (/system)
- 7.82gb out of 11.36gb on Internal Storage (/sdcard0)
- 14.84gb out of 29.32 on SD Card (/sdcard1)

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
So even if I could combine /system and /sdcard0 to become /system and only have 1 sdcard partition would suffice
(3) is it possible to customize/package CyanogenMod to install NovaLauncher (remove/replacing Trebuch) and SwiftKeyboard (instead of AOSP keyboard), amongst other apps (I have the .apk files) so they are installed by default? Also removing apps like Apollo and DSPmanager.
(4) what are some custom scripts, init.d, extweeks, etc you guys are using that I should look into using to get the best performance, battery life, speeds out of the GS2?

Please look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1914184, well it's said for MT6577, but it doesn't mean they can't be try to other type.. there are 3-option that worth to try..
I have been checking all android 6 rom, but i was unable to (fully) set write premission to sd Card,
For 5.1 i used XinternalSD (xposed module) ,HandleExternalStorage(xposed module)
To fully set write permission to sd Card and i can select which apps saves data on sdcard.
But in android 6 ,none of the module worked, apps like app backup restore are unable to get write premission to sd card.
Just wanted to know , is there a way to fully set write premission to sd card for the selected app and save there data on sdcard. Like (appbackuprestore, whatsapp, titanium backup,etc).
If there a way then explain briefly, becoz i want to know it , so that i could use android6.
Update-->>> Fixed with new XinternalSD and Marshmallow SD Fix. Modules!!
It can be fixed, but how??
Temasek ROM has fixed the issue, it shows sdcard1 instead of A29A-1EFC...
And also there is no permission error faced!!
Rest all android6 ROMs I have tried haven't been able to do so!
So anyone out there know how was temasek able to fix this (bug?).
I'm wondering the same...

I'm sorry tagged you here @dgadelha
This is what i mean that titanium backup can fully access sdcard (rewritable) by default in your Temasek build.

Search before posting. (also, I just saw that the answer was for a question you previously asked, and now you're asking again)

You need to do this because Marshmallow blocked the direct SD-write permission for third-party apps.

(Temasek may have allowed this manually in code)
Anything found by anyone?
I found this-> http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/fix-extsd-fix-v1-0b-2016-01-18-t3296266
It didn't work for me on sultans ROM.
But seems like the person is working on it!.
Hello all,
I've been flashing rooms on the phone for quite a while now, but last weekend i flashed a new CM14.1 ROM onto the phone with the new GAPPS with it. Before doing this i ofcourse wiped the needed partitions in order for them to work right. However, since i've done this and flashed the new software, the phone doenst have access to the internal storage while being booted into the system (OS)..
When i boot into TWRP, i have full access to the internal storage and i'm able to create new folders and copy/cut/paste files onto it. Down here, you see i've created a new folder using the PC while its booted in TWRP.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
When i try to do this while its booted in CM14.1 (android 7.1.1, but i think any ROM i'd flash) this happens:
To translate this from Dutch to English: "The new folder couldn't be created on this location. The device isn't responding anymore or the connection has been lost".
When i browse to the internal storage through the OS itself, it does show up. However, i dont have any access to create new folders or files or to change them:
Also when i try to take a picutre using the camera, it says this:
Even when i enable developer options and giving root to both apps and adb, it still doesnt have the required access to perform these actions:
Also going to the gallery, it says that there is no storage available:
I also looked up some info about the partition, which might be useful for those who have some knowledge about this.. This is what i found using the app "Diskinfo":
And i also used the commands ls -l to show the permissions of the /data/media/(and)0/ to see what rights are giving out:
As you see here, the app itself didnt have access to go to the storage location untill i gave it "su" rights. Does this mean the entire OS doesnt have access to this location because it simply doesnt have the right permissions for it?
If anyone has any suggestions or wants to help me figure out what is wrong, please feel free to reply here or through a PM. It would be highly appreciated.
///Edit
After searching around on the web i came across a post where someone said that running the TWRP advanced option "Fix Context" would reset all permissions that you normally dont do yourself. So i've ran that, it ran for like 0.5 second before being finished. After rebooting the phone into the system (OS/Android) all problems were solved and permissions were set right.
Therefore my problem is resolved now, and this topic could be closed ^^
Hi, I have mate 10 lite: RNE-L21C185B142 with Nougat
I have flashed various TWRP files to get a full backup, but all fail at data, check the following screenshot
createTarkFork() process ended with ERROR: 255

I have used an external hard drive as the OTG storage when I tried backup, and also tried another time
with a 32 GB SD card but both show same error at same point. There is no addon.d in my system folder
and also I have tried with enabling/disabling compression when taking backup. And I did unchecked data partition
from Mount in TWRP.
When I go to reboot it shows another error at the end of above screenshot in red color:
E:Error making /data/app/me.twrp.twrpapp-1 directory: permission denied
I have attached both recovery logs. Please suggest what shall I do
It's because of encrypted data, you have to untick data
It also happened to me. It was the twin app's fault. I deactivated it and now it does not give me this error.

Answer already given... It's because of encrypted data...
For details you can look at this post...

Remember... Make always a backup of your important datas from internal storage to an external SD Card or to your PC
