[Q] using tasker with MIUI - Motorola Droid X2

Have tried multiple profiles for tasker from the wiki page with no luck. The notification in the taskbar never changes, says "no active profiles" whenever I do a task that should trigger the profiles to be active. Anyone else having any luck? Using MIUI rom from ace.

[Q] Tasker Help

Anybody using Tasker on their Streaks?
I just started playing with the 7 day trial, and it seems very powerful.
However I can't seem to get the "turn on wifi" when a particular app is launched.
The wifi icon never shows up in the status bar on my Streak, and the apps don'tr recognize it as enabled, however the "power control" widget and the drop down of the notification bar does show wifi enabled/disabled as expected (app launched or closed).
Other events (say brightness to max if app x is launched seem to work fine.
But so far not wifi or Bluetooth - whcih i two big ones for an app like this.
Anybody having any luck with this on their Streak?

[Q] Notification Issues with Cyanogenmod CM11

Hi all,
I am having notification issues with Gmail and Hangouts. I cannot change the notification tone or vibration, it just stays in default. I am aware where the setting is, it just doesn't work. This problem happened in a past CM11 build, but I solved the problem using this thread. The problem is with the profiles. Under default profile, the settings work as intended. Under any other profile, the default settings over ride everything. The solution was to remove gmail and hangouts from the application groups in the profile menu. Now, however, the application groups feature was removed from CM11 and I have no way to solve the problem anymore. Please help me, and feel free to respond if you have experienced the same problem.
Problem Solved
So I figured this out, no help from you guys . I'll describe the problem and then the solution.
Problem: The profile feature uses /data/system/profiles.xml to control the behavior of the profile. So when you use the settings (settings -> profiles) to edit the profile behavior, it edits this file. Now with application groups menu removed from the profile settings menu, there is no way to edit those features in profiles.xml. This is a problem because the profiles.xml still behaves the same way and DOES control application groups. The default profiles.xml included in the CM11 distribution has these undesirable application group features overriding any custom setup I do in the application itself. Since there is no way to change the application group settings in the profiles.xml file in the settings menu you must edit the file manually using xml code. It looks easy enough to edit, but I found a work around.
Solution: The profiles included in CM11 are 'corrupt,' except for the "default" profile. Delete the all but the default profile and create new profiles. These new profiles can have the same names as the profiles you just deleted, but any new profile you create has 'uncorrupt' settings for the application groups. Now you can change the notifications as desired. As an alternative solution, you can just edit the profile.xml file. It is easy enough to reverse engineer, and if you can't figure out the code, you probably shouldn't touch it anyway.
I hope this helps someone.

Definitely helped! Never would have thought that Profiles were connected to my Gmail app notification sounds. This has been bugging me for a few days now. Thanks for the solution!

Background apps unresponsive and youtube weird behaviour

I'm using Kenzo with Global 10.1 Kernel 3.10.84-perf-ga89deb5
Apps that are in the background often dont give any notification. LINE for example only shows notifications when I open the app manually.
Google Translate only shows its popup-translation whenever it wants and is completely random.
Youtube disconnects from my chromecast everytime i go to the homemenu and switch back to the app.
Same with other apps. I've tried adding them to the Autostart permission but that didnt change anything.
Power Saving is off.
Why is the energy saving so aggressive? Am I missing some option?

I need to keep an app running in background and make it not visible in recent apps tab

Hello dear developers. I'm newbie here. I mean I took lots of information from XDA but it's my first time to post a question (i just made an account to ask this question)
MY PROBLEM IS :
As a MIUI user I'm having too much problems with it's powerfull but annoying Battery Optimisation. I have bought and installed an app to Customize my volume control panel and MIUI has a bug in Accessibility Settings. Unfortunately this app requires it and I'm having trouble with it.
The app must be running constantly to avoid triggering the bug. For the ones who don't know the bug it is happening when You enable an accessibility setting for an app and if the app ever gets killed by MIUI's complicated optimisation then "Enable" button in Accessibility tab is being always active but doesn't works. I'll provide some screenshots at the bottom.
I have enabled autostart, Pinned the app in Recently Used apps tab, Removed Battery optimisation but none of them helps.
