Qware 10 inch Pro3 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone, I am British but now live in The Netherlands, and I have just bought a budget tablet from Qware called the Pro3 (10 inch version).
It has an A10 Cortex A8 processor (1.2GHz) and 512MB DDR3 ram, and runs Android 2.3.4.
I understand that it is similar/the same as the Ployer MOMO15.
Can anyone tell me if there are any development plans for this tablet, such as any custom GB roms or ICS roms? Thanks very much!

Topic on Dutch forum, though most ICS dev is for the 7". There is a (Ployer) 7" ICS rom out, but I'm not sure about the 10". Maybe check the Pandawill forum as well.

[Q] Flashing generic china phones

Hi there,
I currently own an HTC Desire Bravo and was thinking of upgrading to a china phone with a MTK6577 CPU. I haven't made up my mind which model in particular to purchase yet as I would like it to have some level of rom support in XDA. A while ago, I had bought a china tablet (P10AN01, also going by brand names: Advent Vega, Viewpad 10s) and chose this model *because* it had it's own section in the XDA forums. These china stuff is really amazing as if you choose carefully may land you a device rivaling it's more expensive branded phones at a fraction of the price.
I don't expect there will be a section for every variant of china phone as even searching for MTK6577 CPU based phones returns a myriad of phones with different specs.
I would basically like to know if it is possible to use ROMs designed from other popular (and supported on XDA) phones on a made in china phone... If so, how would i know which would work?
am I correct in assuming that a ROM for a supported phone with similar specs would likely work? for example, an HTC phone with MTK6577 CPU 1GB ram and 4GB rom would work on a china phone with MTK6577 CPU and 1GB ram and 4GB rom?
Many thanks in advance for your support

Prompt Tablet 8"

Hi, i decided to buy a tablet with 8" screen, i choose this size because imho is a good compromise between transportability and comfort in reading.
On the other side i saw that this size is not more diffused...
I'm looking for an android (so no ipad mini) and my budget is no more then 200 euro (so no samsung note 8)!
I looked at chinese tablets and i found interesting the AINOL NOVO 8, PIPO M5 and the TREKSTOR ventos 8... but it would be my first chinese purchase... What do you think about this tablets or bettere do you have any suggestions?
Thanks a lot!
Nexus 7...
but it's 7"...
1 inch won't make a huge difference. In fact, it's easier to carry. If budget constrain, you can try eBay for a good deal. The few brands that you have listed doesn't have support from XDA developers at all. Look through the Android General/ Q&A and you'll find tons of threads regarding Chinese phones/ tablets asking 3 helps...1st help - help to root the tablet, 2nd help - help for a custom rom and the 3rd help - help to unbrick chinese phone/ tablet. I don't you want all these types of problems to occur with your new tablet.
What do you think about Acer Iconia A1? I think it will be in stock from nex month...
These are the specs:
Screen: 7,9 inch 1024 x 768
Processor: MediaTek MTK MT8125 quad-core 1,2 GHz
RAM: 1 GB
Internal storage: 16 GB
Posterior cam: 5 megapixel
Anterior cam: 0,3 megapixel
Battery: 3250 mAh
Android 4.2
Price: 169 euro (wi fi version)

[Q] Galaxy S4 mini clone MTK6572 ROM needed

I've bought the following Sa*sung Galaxy S4 mini clone: "1:1 Mini S4 i9500 IPS 4.3 inch Android 4.2 MTK6572 Dual Core 1.3GHz 1GB RAM".
It could be a really cheap and usable Android phone if you are on the budget, but its ROM is a TouchWiz clone which makes it all sluggish and unstable, so I am wondering whether someone has a stock / Chinese add-ons free 4.2.2 for this device? I rooted it, started removing some "factory" elements, but am no expert, still far from being what it might be.
I'd appreciate any help, thanks.

[Q] Alcor Zest Q933R

Today I came across a (for me) new name of tablet PC-s: ALCOR.
Anyone heard of them? I couldn't find a single info when searching for them on XDA
So, the device is this one: ALCOR ZEST Q933R
It costs about 1600 kn in Croatia (around 210€), and I know that a Nexus 7 (v2) is only a few € more expensive, but, take a look at this one's specs:
4x1,5GHz (Cortex A9), 2GB RAM, a 9,7" IPS screen with a 2048 x 1536 resolution, 32 GB built memory + MicroSD support.
What do you guys say? Any good out of this one?

BUMP,.,

BUMP again x)
anyone?
hi!,
we have this tablet in Spain, it's called Woxter 97Q here, the brand is Woxter,
they are rom compatible, we (users in htcmania forum) upgraded from woxter oficial 4.1 to this rom Alcor 4.2.2 and work perfectly,
months later Woxter update to 4.2.2 but some users as myself are still using the Alcor 4.2.2
I've tried to investigate a bit to cook a newer rom but my knowledge is far away to get this, haha
let's see if we can update it a bit more!

[Q] Sub $150 tablet with Lollipop / Custom ROM support

I've been looking at cheap Chinese tablets, such as Chuwi VX8: http://www.geekbuying.com/item/CHUW...-1-3GHz-Android-4-4-1G-8G---White-329270.html
There seems to be a huge amount of affordable tablets out there with quad core cores such as MTK8127.
Unfortunately I can't find a tablet along these lines which has a Lollipop update available or even unofficial CM12 build.
Can someone point me in the direction of such a tablet?
I've read on CM blog that Mediatek devices are very difficult to port CM12 for, so maybe tablet with Allwinner core?
