Hi Guys,
This is my first time here.
I have galaxy tab 10.1 and I was trying to update system to 3.2 via Odin3_v1.85 and the following files:
android_fastboot_emmc_full_p4_16G_32G.pit
BOOTLOADER_P7500XWKL1_CL599535.tar.md5
CODE_P7500XWKL1_CL599535_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
MODEM_P7500XXKL3_REV_00_CL1085117.tar.md5
After updating and rebooting system, information on the screen appeared: enter your password.
I didn’t put any password before and I just Re-partitioned option on the Odin. However, the password should be removed. I tried to put standard passwords like 0000 12345 … and fifth times different password like in galaxy 2 to reset password but still doesn’t work. Maybe somebody has similar problem and has any suggestions what I should do now?

The only way to remove the password is to boot into recovery and use Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
I did the device encryption for my rooted Galaxy note 2 N7100. Before encrypting it asked to set a password. I had set it. Later I successfully encrypted the device and started using it without any problem. But this morning I woke up to see my device restarted some time ago in the night and waiting for me to enter the password to decrypt the device. As usually I entered the correct password but, it didn't accept the password. I am sure I am entering the correct password. But still it dint accept. All the chances to enter the correct pwd are over and now whenever I try to enter the password (i am still sure that I am entering correct password) but, it is restarting automatically. I don't mind loosing the data as I have a back up. Somebody please help me. I want to reinstall the OS. I tried connecting to my laptop via usb but nothing is showing up.
Hi,
I did a bunch of search strings on here and Google to try and find a solution to my problem to no avail. I really hope you guys can help.
My device: Galaxy Note 3 - N900W8 - Rooted and Unlocked (RegionLock Away 1.3)
My Problem:
I'm trying to connect the device to my works account via Exchange ActiveSync. My company forces encryption on the device as part of the setup processes. When I try to Encrypt the device (Fast Encrypt or not) it shows the Encryption Android dude (Green) as if it's going to start and then the phone just turns off and reboots.
Any ideas what the issue could be? Is it possible that because the phone is rooted, the security settings that my works places on it doesn't like it?
Thanks.
H
Hi, I was experiencing the same thing, I was playing with the encryption and now my lock screen pattern and pin is not an option anymore and I have to use the encryption password, when my device is not even encrypted! I cannot decrypt because every time I go into the Encrypt device option, It goes back to rebooting just like you mention. Anybody can help?
Thanks,
T2
I was using my Galaxy S4 when it suddenly froze, then rebooted itself. Now, it is telling me that my password is incorrect, even though I am 1000% sure that I am typing it correctly.
I have typed it over and over, to the point where it now says that if I fail to type in the correct password 5 more times, all of the data on the phone will be reset.
I think the issue might be related to me having updated to Android Lollipop about two days ago. This is the first time the phone has rebooted since I updated to Lollipop. Could something have happened during the update? Or did Lollipop change my password?
I have attached an image of what is shown. (The part I crossed out is my name. Also, I am not actually German, but I bought this phone from a German website.)
My phone is encrypted, which I think is the reason why the password screen is gray instead of my regular wallpaper. I have not changed my password in over a year, and have typed it in dozens of times. I am definitely typing it correctly.
I have already tried resetting the password through the Google Play Android Device Manager, to no avail. My phone is listed, but neither "ringing" nor "locking" the phone do anything, probably because the phone is encrypted and therefore does not connect to the internet before the password is successfully entered. When I try ringing/locking, it says that the "reset was successfully sent", but nothing actually happens to the phone.
Plugging the phone into my PC over USB also does not work. Windows shows that it is installing the drivers, but the phone is not listed in 'Computer', again most likely because the phone is encrypted/locked by password.
Any ideas how I can either get this phone unlocked, or my data recovered?
I am having the exact same problem except my error message says "an incorrect attempt to unlock the device has been made. You have 5 attempts left before your device is reset to its factory settings and all data, including files and downloaded applications, is erased from your device storage."
Hi everyone. I have a Samsung Galaxy Mega (GT-i9152) and i flashed the CM12.1 on it a few hours ago.
using this rom, in particular :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-mega/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3079952
after flashing the ROM, i flashed the appropriate GApps package (for android 5.1.1 and ARM architecture) on it .
so, the problem is, i have been UNABLE to set up my Google account in the new rom.
whenever is try to add my Google account, through the Settings or Playstore or Gmail or through ANY other app, the Sign in prompt simply QUITS as soon as i enter my email id. no error, no warning, no reason for crash. Nothing.
sometimes, i get as far as entering the password, but after entering the password, the crash occurs. again, no errors.
interestingly, after the crash occurs and if get as far as having entered the password, i do get the confirmation code text on my phone. but that's it.
please help me out, what could be the possible reason for this and how do i resolve this?
EDIT : i had wiped EVERYTHING in TWRP (system, data and everything) except for SD card, before flashing CM 12.1 on my phone.
