Recommend an app to stream asx? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

I tried a website that I used all the time on my old phone to stream music, it sends an asx file. I tried it on my Note which tries to send it to the Video app, but then it fails.

Bump. Has anyone tried an audio stream?

[Q] Help with streaming Video

I am having problems viewing videos off of websites like ESPN or CBSSPORTS, I can get the sound fine but it says "no video signal". The video comes up fine on the iPhone 3g but not on my Aria. Talked with my AT&T rep and he said could be a problem with the media player and would get back to me when he found an answer. Anyone have any ideas where to look for an answer?
Thanks
Use skyfire as your browser, it lets you watch most flash video.

Getting the same results using the Skyfire browser. I'll get audio but no video. I've tried the Rockplayer media player and I get video but no sound. Any other ideas?

Streaming Audio with Custom URLs

I replaced my iPhone3G with an Atrix.
I am having trouble finding a good ap for access to custom audio stream URLs. The streams that I would like to connect to are all mp3, some require authentication.
Can anyone suggest an ap?
Thank you.
Try an app called "Astro Player Nova". Select Radio from the menu and enter your custom audio stream URL. There is also an app called "just playlists" in the market. You can create a pls or m3u file with your url and use Just Playlists to listen to these urls.
Thanks for the tip. I will give it a try. A good streaming ap is the only thing I miss about my old iPhone.
Is it possible that Atrix has an issue with streaming audio? I haven't found any apps that will work at all, including the two you mentioned.
Thanks
Well I am sure Atrix can stream audio becuase my audiogalaxy app works. Try xiialive. It can also stream custom urls
I tried xiialive as well as AOnlineRadio. When trying to connect to mp3 streams, both aps (and many others) fail and report "Null"
Streams are known good as I can play them on an iPhone with fStream and many others.
I use "doggcatcher" for all of my podcasts, urls and rss feeds. I went through the same transition when I went from a 3gs to a Captivate last year. Works on my Atrix as well

Stream audio over VPN

Like the title says but it could be simpler. I'm looking for a way (app possibly) to stream audio from a share on my server to my phone. I've tried ORB but my impression is that it uses ORB servers to stream over the internet. I want a simple solution to stream audio over the network and to be able to play the music as if it was on the phone. I have a working VPN so my end result would be to be able to stream no matter where I am in the world as if the music was on the phone.

Have you tried the DLNA app that comes on the Atrix? It works great for me!

[Q] Able to play mp4's with Asus MyNet?

I've tried playing mp4's saved to a Twonky server on my network. It plays the audio by no video. Also, it keeps playing the audio and i have to manually kill the app to get it to stop.
With MTS files, it plays the video with no audio.
Plex works great and plays both types (and others) beautifully. I guess I can stick to Plex and remove MyNet if (i mean when) we get rooted....
I use ES File Explorer, It plays mp4 on my network just fine, I use Plex when I'm away from home.

[Q] How can I open .con files

Hi,
I am using an app called Axissoft Star Player which opens video from a particular website. Videos can be downloaded or streamed through the app. But, if I download a video from the app, the video files downloads with a .con file type extension with a validity of only two days. After 2 days, the app doesn't play the video. Even if I change my phone date and download a video, it even not works.
Is there any way to remove the expiry or to view the video files somewhere else?
Thanks in advance.
