Softbank opening logo. - Streak 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone knows how to remove the Softbank opening logo? I tried to install softbank roms coming.from stock retail rom (360) then when I was trying to revert to my 360 nandroid it was succesfully reverted but the softbank logo appears before the dell logo that swirl. I also tried to factory reset, install rom by flashing stock recovery and stock pkg but still the softbank logo is still pesent.

You need to reinstall 360 first

So I need to flash the stock recovery 360 and then the stock pkg of 360 too?

Yea, that's how the logo gets changed. It's not safe to change it manually so the right way is to reflash with the pkg

Exactly the same problem here, seems no one has a fix for this at all. I guess we're going to have to send back to dell

Ah okay, cos I looked up the phone and its nothing like P500 lol XD
To root your phone, you can use z4root, iirc rom manager doesn't support p500.

Get into emergency mode by using key combination "back+volume up+power" then connect it with PC and use KDZ to update your firmware bingo and by this I didn't loosed any setting or data. Just the root for which I used zroot

[Q] replacement through dell. warranty question.

Dell is sending me a replacement phone due to some problems I have with my current one. My question is, my current phone is rooted. will dell notice that? and will that void my warranty? If so how do I bring my phone back to stock?
Of course it will void your warranty once you are rooted. Just flash the 340 rom back and you are done.

How? Some instructions please.
i don't know how to do it either.

Dell have had my phone back twice with dj steve's roms on it and both times it came back fixed with a fresh new install on it.
To get back to an unrooted state, simply download the 340 pkg file, copy it to the sd card root rename it update.pkg and flash from recovery. It may even be as easy as doing a factory reset from stock recovery.

Installing illuminate rom help

Ok i nvflashed back to 1.2 but whw. I tried to install the illuminate romr it keeeps puting me back into reovery mode smh

i am having this problem too. I don't know how to fix it. It always boots into recovery. I even installed a different rom and it still does it. I'm going to guess that it will take another nvflashing.
I had the same issue. You need to nvflash to base recovery first. After that, copy recovery folder and update.zip. If it will stuck, go to recovery (CWM at this point) and do factory reset.

I'll only say this one more time. Honeycomb has a different structure than everything else. In order to flash into and out of honeycomb, you need to follow my code red procedure in my website.

[Q] Xperia Tablet - Re-lashing Stock Help Needed

I am stuck on the Sony blue animation screen after installing a task killer app. It just hangs there. I can get into recovery, however.
I am trying to reflash my stock firmware to remedy the problem as it seems something got corrupted ( I was rooted when this happened). I am in recovery and am trying to flash the latest "US" update to my tab but I am getting the following error."Erohibed update as result of checking version or base sku"
What do I need to do to reflash and get back to stock? I do not have adb access...
Try factory reset. You will lose data and maybe root

By factory reset, do you mean in recovery? I tried that and for some reason it did not work...
