Hello GUIse & Girls
As you can probably see in the subject bar (or title bar) in this thread, I was wondering what ROM's you guys are using. I think I've probably tested all the ROM's available for the SGSII (Since I'm a themer) and I can't come to the conclusion on which one is the best, they all have their strong points but some are better than others. I will eventually will put a Poll up when I can collate ALL the ROM's that are the main ones (No offence the ones I miss out).
I'll start,
I change ROM's almost daily (As I said, I'm a themer and need to test features) but at present I am using Revolution 2.6 with the Speedmod t27 Kernel, the battery isn't as good as expected, I've disabled fast dormancy and hardly use 3G Data or Wi-Fi and it seems just to drain like none of it's business. I'm even using the Black Android Theme I made for the SGSII as blacks work better and use 30% less power on the Super AMOLED plus.
So, which ROM are you using?

Lite'ning ROM with rstopher's Red Theme.
I tries most of the rom. But for battery life and stability, in my opinion, the best is so far the stock one (KH3 for the moment). I just apply some tweaks^^ (CRT, APN, Talk2, UAchange in browser...)

Usually stock is best as it's default with nothing added. You add whatever you want to it. Good really.

I recently got my SG S2, I replaced my beloved Xperia X10. This phone is a nice improvement, however I miss some stuff from the X10 like the led and the camera button
I just rooted my phone and I am lost in which ROM to install, My preferences are a stable full of gadgets and fast ROM
any suggestion?

I'd probably go with Revolution ROM, he included a ROM Kitchen app in it so you can install whatever tweaks and themes you need.
If you're looking for pure stability then it's Cognition.
Using DarkyRom KH3 with Supercore 1.6 kernel.
Great battery life, just the right amount of tweaks without over doing things and very stable

Whats the best ICS rom for the vibrant RIGHT NOW?
ICS Slim.?
ICS Euphoria.?
ICZen.?
ICS v5 Doc Master.?
ICS CNA.?
Which rom offers the best overall speed, smoothness, and battery life?
EDIT: Also if you can, please include the kernel you use.

My experience with Euphoria has been amazing thus far.
Mines hasnt. The music skips when playing alot recently

i also would like to see more results!
honestly i feel like slim wont get too many results bc ppl seemed to be biased towards passion/euphoria without even trying slim since it came out later
My pick for the best would be ICS Passion but its not on the list
My vote is for Slim, it's fast, smooth, and has amazing battery life. Battery life is the best I've used since 2.2 roms.
ICZen RC1.2. Been running ICZen since the first beta stages and haven't had a single problem with lag or anything.
Go For AOKP !

I agree! ICS Passion is great.
ICS Passion with yum yum 2 here. Very smooth and battery is great. GPS requires a restart sometime and speaker phone issue still lingers around, but those are small issue that I can live with.

what particularly makes it better than slim which is stripped down?? or what tweaks does it seem to have over others?
I went from the old Energy April Release to Quicksense 7.0. I must say Quicksense is fast! Even scored higher on Quadrant. And audio is good! Reason I left Energy was because I had a few minor glitches, mainly in the BT.
Cons though... mainly for me, Leedroid, doesn't have it. I like my 5x5 icons, I like my battery bar on top, and a few other minor things I can do with Energy rom. Another con for me, I can't enable sound effect for the weather, weather widget crashes every time. ;/
The new energy rom just came out and I plan to try it out! Waiting for the download.
I was just curious what you guys prefer and why?
I don't do quadrants..... But quick sense is the best rom I've ever felt on the Amaze on either OS when it comes to performance...
I also liked CapRomCE a ton too...
Very solid

Oh... lol. That sounds really great. I would give it a try right away.
I literally thought you are using stock ROM at the moment (your signature).
I had 1 major issues and 1 minor issues with Quicksense.
Major is was that I could not get music to play through BT using my car's stereo. It would just go through the phone's speaker, even when told it to use my car. My minor issue, I need my 5x5 drawer lol. I love that!
Does anyone know if Energy is based on 2.14.531.3?

Im now running the new quicksense or quickdroid 8.0 and this roms seems soopa fast or smooth. Eh, as much as I love Android, I cannot agree with you here. Gingerbread was pretty bad. ICS was much better, but not the iPhone better. Sense on ICS made things better, but still you could see slowdowns here and there. But CM10 and now official JB update made it very pleasant, fast, responsive experience.
But my Transformer Prime on JB is still jerky, and definitely not as smooth as my iPad 2.
Stock browser felt faster than chrome too. Flash still works in it too.

Great for live wallpapers though.

Well, I am a little miffed by the menu button on home not bringing up anything at all. I'll get over it though

What do you care most when you choose a ROM. Please don't turn this thread into a which-ROM-is-best kind of thread.
If there are other factors that influence your choice, please reply and let me know.
For me i choose user interface and features, why? Cause we got too much stock-based ROMs that have stock theme. I would rather flash a stock ROM rather than a stock based ROM that doesn't have any difference in ui. I mean look at xperianze ROM. Many people are commenting its the best ROM cause of its special and unique interface. And anyways why do we need custom ROMs (no theming) with only tweaks? This phone is running quad core exynos processor not a single core armv6 or something.
Edit: Please add in battery life as it matters the mpst
