O1 died :( any chance?? - Optimus One, P500, V General

finally my O1 died, got stuck while flashing orignal v20c and the phone not starting at all so is there any chance to bring back life in it or if i give it to service center is there any probability that they can find that i was trying something fishy ??

actually i was flashing v20 then it got stuck in emergency mode i tried each and everything.....seriously everything and then i decided to take off the usb after abt an hr in emergency mode and bang O1 is already dead

Aww the main reason for this I guess is cos your phone did not have sufficient charge n so it died off while in emergency mode!

my advice for you is to tell them that the phone turned off because it ran out of battery, you plugged the charger but nothing happened so you decided to come to warranty.

LOL... not necessary that every one are...but buddy, don't worry as you haven't done any physical damage (Hopefully!), you should not have a problem getting it back to order...Just walk to any authorized service center and tell them that phone is not responding...don't know why ? They should take care of rest

I was flashing my O1 20C firmware, then mi usb cable moved a little, and disconnected, the flash stoped and the phone didn´t respond, so I unplugged, the O1 was on a yellow screen and I removed the battery, when I tried to turn it on it never did again, I taked it to my carrier, I said "it turned it off and never came back" and they gave me a new one.
If your phone is not turning on anymore you should say goodbay to him, I tried everything and nothing worked.

I have hard bricked my galaxy ace while i was in recovery mode( Rom Manager 4.0). i was trying to overclock it with CM7 Overclock but it got aborted, so i didnt persist with it n was getting out of the recovery mode when it suddenly switched off and till now now powering on. i tried to get in download mode but not able to. will usb jig be able to help me get in downloading mode?

Voila....Nice work..People just dont learn...First of all,I am sorry if i sound rude
Good work bricking your phone with ROM MANAGER..ROM Manager DOES NOT support ACE...There has been many posts regarding this but PEOPLE dont learn,do they..
Theres no rescue...A brick with rom manager is irrepairable..Some people were lucky though, they could get into download mode, but sadly, you are not...
Take it to your nearest service center
EDIT:I forgot to tell...THIS IS DEVELOPMENT THREAD NOT BRICK THREAD..GENERAL FORUMS IS THE BRICK THREAD
don't panic, mate. try to use a USB Jig first; DIY if deemed necessary! then if all goes well, then flash away
did you try this?

Btw its should not in dev section
dont mess your phone much
you not read noob guid as rom manager brick ace if you run stock rom without cwm
anyway go to service centre tell its not turn on after factory reset
most of us get it live back from service centre but dont tell you use root or any thing
just tell its happen after factory reset

I agree!! I hard bricked my Ace once.. and nothing switched on. So all i did was take it to the service center, with a sad face and tell them that it suddenly switched off and stopped working.
When they asked what i was doing i simply said i was playing a game and it stopped. What is the game? NFS Shift (coz its quite laggy anyway)
And all they said was ''Alright sir, its a hardware faliure, i think its a motherboard short. We will have it replaced. Will have it for you in three working days.''
Act noobish and DONT say anything Smart!
They have no way of checking for Root/custom roms coz it wont switch on
***IMPORTANT - retain sad face until you exit service center! then go to the middle of the road and jump for joy (yes i did)

No they didn't charged me......my ace was bricked due to rom manager......they changed my phones motherboard ........I told them I was playing suddenly screen went off.......
$π®@£
I Will Not Charge You for pressing thanks.
I too fell in the trap of Rom Manager. I wasn't aware of the fact that ACE is not supported by ROM MANAGER.
I have been trying all methods // Download mode, Button combinations... Odin did recofnize it once but was stuck on 'set connection'... so I tried it again, but it didnt recognize it again.
Hence, now I am forced to take it to Service Centre. Would post my experice too once my ACE returns...
Thanks for the post guys.. this thread really helped..
Cheers !!

Lol, with me was easier, after two days that I had bought my Ace, I updated it to an europe Gingerbread firmware, but my Ace is a brazilian model, so, a few things started to happen, screen flickering, random shutdowns, 3G wasn't working. All I did was taking my phone back to my carrier store (the place where I bought the phone) and I told that the screen was flickering a lot. I wasn't into Android on that time, I really thought it was broken.
The phone was completely stock, the carrier customizations weren't there anymore, the language wasn't the right one. The girl who was helping noticed that my phone was a bit different from the others, but she said "no problem, we will send it back to Samsung" and then she gave me a new phone with the box and everything. Lol.

A friend of mine did that. He broke the mic on his phone with compressed air... Then he hardbricked his phone (i think it was LG optimus 2X, but maybe something else) and paid a little extra for SGS2.
Edit: I've installed dozens of custom roms and tweaks on my ACE. Never have i even gotten a bootloop (i've had some on other phones).. The main thing is to FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS and if there arent any than you should google a bit to find out if what you want to do works or not.

They will replace the motherboard. You have nothing to lose. You can ask samsung to give a phone for some time before the repairs is completed
u need a usb jig

Sorry bro but you're inability to read through sticky threads or even ask questions has failed you here. You simply have yourself to blame here
There are two ways I know however:
1 Send it to Samsung repairs, they will never know what actually happened. Your motherboard will be replaced.
2. Change your motherboard on your own or with a third-party repair centre. It's faster but maybe expensive.

No solution.....Samsung service center is the last option. Your warranty is void so they will charge you.
Now to save your money for repair charges do some acting in front of service center guys.tell them that u r upgrading s3 from kies then suddenly phone reboot and not going to on.

lol wouldnt be the first time with software such as this... hey would you know if theyd be able to tell when they service it whether I was uploading roms or not? because they said if they detected rooting that it would void the warranty ? It is just off and wont even hook up to the computer.
I am asking this because if I can the us cellular technician can try to fix it for free if he doesnt notice that it has been rooted.

@bibhu059, you change your story, in the other thread you said you have flashed another TA partition, maybe you explain exactly what you did.
And what happen when you try to connect with flash or fastboot modes?
Someone suggested to take the battery out, have you tried that?
As you wrote in your PM to me, you restored a TA backup from someone else's device. This hard-bricked your device, which you could have prevented when you read the FAQ first. Sorry but there is nothing anyone else can do for you at this point. Only option left is to send it to Sony - tell them it suddenly didn't turned on anymore - and hope for the best.
There is no recovery from a hard-brick.
golden rule.. never mess wid TA.. u r not the first...send it to sony service center and act like a noob there..

Yes. But you just say your friend took your phone and you did not know what did he do with it. When he returned your phone, it was like that. My friend actually took a rooted s3 to a samsung service centre and they knew he rooted, said he found custom binaries. When questioned, he asked "whats that?"

Of course they can, makes no difference they can and should fix it anyway,
Losing warrenty does not mean you are not entitled for service, only that you may have to pay for it.

losing warranty entitles u to pay for services my friend.
i guess they have to replace entire motherboard... so they wont be able to tell whether bootloader was unlocked or not... coz under any circumstance...it won't switch on... unless hardware is replaced...

is there any connection between motherboard and bootloader..because if they will replace the motherboard ,can they know whether my bootloader is locked or unlocked???
I don't think they will find out as motherboard includes the cpu, gpu, ram and the circuits lol so yeah.
They will charge for replacing the motherboard. One of my friends with xperia s had recently had a dead phone and the motherboard change costed his new phone 200 bucks($) and I guess now u might want to read before doing such stuff

Alright, what ROM were you on?
Can you get to DL or recovery mode?
We could guess what happened, but we won't

Guess your motherboard is Dead(www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WQ5HCoFiCk‎), as informed by Sun90, you should go to service centre and get it replaced.
If they confirm that your motherboard is dead, you can do it yourself by ordering motherboard from Ebay and installing it with help from youtube!!
Your Call!!
Thanks!
