Some time ago I saw a topic that one member 'ported' the android stock systemui.apk in the place of tw systemui, there is any way to put ICS original systemui in place of tw (for ICS ROM)?
TW system ui for ICS is really ugly and I want disable quick bar, so, all stock is what I want, ty.

where is the thread?
i really want to know as well!
I think I know the thread you talk about but it only themed the tw systemui so it doesn't remove the quick toggles.

I have this modification on my GS III but a friend of mine is wondering if it's available for her GS II (i9100) with 4.0.3 ??

Green.
She is running the following version:
Flash JKay Deluxe Framework, install app, configure it (turn on only battery mod) and she will be happy. I think.

Doesn't she have to be running a Deodexed firmware for that package??
Deodex isn't necessary for this. I also have this mod and I'm odexed. Everything is working fine.
Just flash the newer ics roms they have that option like gs3. No mods required.
This is just one example, many more have this option now.

Want to have the AOSP experience without compromise? Then this is for you! Please do not take this the wrong way, sportstar and company have done the impossible in this forum, but unfortunately, we have limited functionality with some things like data for example. Anyway, this is to my personal taste and I just wanted to share
1. Speed Rom 7
In my opinion and experience, the best performing senseless Rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1623184
2. Craigtut's AOSP Status Bar
Original, pure Google.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1623184
3. Jellybean Transition Animations
Jellybeans animtions are plain awesome.
(link here)
4. Awesome Beats mod
The cherry on top it's awesome and for some reason, works with Speed Rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1728391
5. Nova Launcher
Provides lots of jellybean features for ics.
(link here)
Finally, what I do, get a cm9 rom, extract it's phone app, and replace Speed Rom's one in order to get The Aosp call screen, but be sure you flash the Aosp status bar first, or you will get continuous force closes, also make sure to fix permissions for the new phone app!

jelly bean transitions?
I am trying to create AOSP on NRG rom, how can I obtain Jelly bean transition effect?
Any reason why 1. Speed Rom 7 and Craigtut's AOSP Status Bar point to the same thread?

Clock Widget
I was searching around the GNex Forums and stumbled along this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1964389 Sadly, it didn't work on CM10 for the i777 because we have a HDPI device, not a XHDPI device. I resized the images and it works great (I DIDN'T MAKE THESE IMAGES MYSELF, I JUST RESIZED THEM). Tested only with CM10, but if it works on another ROM, then let me know and I'll update the description. It doesn't delete anything so give it a try and see if it works on another ROM. (NewClockWidget.zip)
Camera Icons
This is something I was looking for for a really long time. Ultimately, I couldn't find any versions of this, so I found a Nexus 10 screenshot, and managed to crop and edit the Camera icon out. Also, I learned that XXHDPI is 144x144px for those who care. I'm uploading the icons as PNGs (all four sizes) as well as a zip for CM10 ONLY. (NewCameraIcons.zip)
We use the same ROM
Yay

Because it wasn't made for that ROM or device...
goo work, thanks.
is the photosphere working in this camera?
This isn't the 4.2 Camera app. It's just the 4.1.2 Camera from the i777 nightly (i forget which one) with the new icon. It doesn't have any new features. If anything, it's just a resource for the images.
Hi everyone

They're not in the regular android framework, they're in the touchwiz framework. (TW_framework-res or something)

Technically that would mean that you mustn't uninstall TouchWiz ?

There is no way you can uninstall TouchWiz just like that. Do note that I am referring to the TouhchWiz framework, not the launcher SecLauncher2.apk (TouchWiz Home)
Have a look in settings.apk or secsettings.apk
Can't remember what TW uses
Edit.. Scratch that, you're looking for the background images, not the text? As shawty says, twframework-res.apk
Edit2.. Look for tw_list_section_divider_holo_light.9.png / tw_list_section_divider_holo_dark.9.png in framework-res, that should be the smaller one...

please don't ask questions in this section, there's a Help section for that. thanks
I know this can be achieved by replacing images in Systemui.apk. But that's a heck of work and last time when I tried that, Touchwiz started showing errors. Even after replacing the backed-up Systemui.apk errors wouldn't stop. Therefore I had to re-flash stock Rom.
This could be achieved by Xposed, which apparently isn't compatible with Samsung ROMS ATM. So I was wondering, if there's any other way to change status bar icons?
thanks
