Alright ladies and gentlemen, I am glad to finally bring you the Evervolv series of ROM's. This is an alpha build, however most, if not all items should be working. I'm going to keep this post vague and update it when the rom becomes beta worthy.
This rom would not be possible without the CM team, so i give them props any time i can.

Everything should be working as of now (with the small except to the Brightness widget, it's functionality is there... but the UI updating is not just yet). The Nexus One i have has no sim card, so i can't test everything. However English is the main supported language, if google hasn't added the language support, i haven't either. This means certain apps will have no support at all (i.e. Evervolv Settings). If there is someone that would like to contribue the efforts to languages, we'd be more than happy to have you aboard.
Screenshots of the ROM in action can be seen Here - Screenshots

Q&A
Is this CM7?
No, this is a build that started from AOSP. However, some of the fixes and few features have been derived from the CyanogenMod Team, including the CM kernel.
How social is the evervolv team?
You can join us on IRC, irc.freenode.net #evervolv. Or follow myself and the status of Evervolv @preludedrew on twitter.

Nice, I am flashing now and will check it out.
Looks good and feels good aswell, but trackballwake is needed.
Why not. I haven't tried anything Gingerbread yet (been faithful to Rod's MIUI the last few months).
I'll download and check it out!

agree with this... this rom already support app2sd??
Liking so far. Its a breath of fresh air. Just something nice and new, really smooth and responsive.
It appears a2sd is not there? Maybe I'm wrong but under settings it said ext (unavailable).
Also, its a little eh that I can't change the dock settings (I know I can use LauncherPro and I probably will but I was trying to avoid that) because I use Chomp and DolphinHD so those dock shortcuts are useless.
Screen off animation is SWEET and boot animation is stellar.
Overall, seems very solid for a first release. I'll stick with it for now, assuming camera and camcorder work (I'm headed out to Sea World with the wife and son today/tomorrow so I need a functioning camera).
Great job and great release. I'll report back more Monday night when I get home and have used it for a few days.
Does this rom have the "wonk" problem? With nightly Rom I still have lots of problems

This was added yesterday along with the ability to change the left and right launcher buttons. I'll keep ya'all up 2 date. Best place for nightlies is my Twitter: @preludedrew. If you like to test things and just like to hang out with people... catch us on IRC, irc.freenode.net #evervolv.

Hi,
You say you've added trackball wake etc, but there is no new download link?
Have you just updated the file but not renamed?

Great rom. I love the font and bootanimation. Wish the rom had a2sd.

OK, so after a few days use I'm noticing a few things.
Battery life seems to be average, nothing special. I hardly used it at all as I was on a small vacation (didn't make any phone calls, hardly text at all, didn't take pictures, surfed the web very very lightly) and my battery would very quickly drop to the 80's in % and beyond. Although, this could possibly be associated to my next thing.
When charging, light on top is green (fully charged) when it hits 90% battery. It does continue charging to 100% but I found that very odd that it turns green to indicate full when its at 90%...
As stated, the font is very nice too. Everything overall seems smooth, especially for a first release. I'd be nice to see new releases soon, of course with a change log etc.
Looking forward to see what is to come.
Alpha0.6 Release notes:
Another minor release. While working on bigger problems that will take a while I wanted to push out an update for some things that have happened in the last few days. This is primarily to get Flemmard's work out for more testing. This contains the start of CyanogenMod settings. However, most of the settings are not functional on tablets yet.
With this release I will also provide two flashable zips to allow you to easily switch between lcd density 120 and 160. The default is still 160 because it offers the greatest compatibility. Any lcd density value between 160 and 120 will ruin market compatibility. For those that would like a "higher resolution" look and feel, you may flash the 120 lcd density update.zip. This will copy a new build.prop and will update the launcher for proper display. I strongly recommend changing the font size in Settings->System->Fonts if you chose to do this. The 160 lcd density update is provided to easily revert the change.
Touchscreen fixes
Ability to hide the combined bar(navigation buttons and clock) for full screen. This uses the ICS api so it will require app support(not all apps have been updated). This is an option under Settings->[Interface]->System->Combined Bar (Credits to Flemmard)
Scrollable quick settings. This will require tweaking later to allow it to be bigger on the Touchpad but fixes overflow issue on 7" tablets with the new Bluetooth toggle. (Credits to Flemmard)
Reboot to recovery is working via the power menu(hold down power button). Note: reboot will sometimes shutdown rather than rebooting.
Preliminary support for Rom Manager. In order to use this you will need Rom Manager Premium because it is not official yet. In order to use it you will need to execute "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" in Rom Manager. Confirm the model is cm_tenderloin, say yes that you have installed manually, and check ClockworkMod 3.x. Now you can use Rom Manager to flash update.zips. Official support should come soon.

The problem with that is that dalingrin asked specifically that this NOT be done.
It's not exactly theft, but definitely bad form.
And do we really want to alienate the dev's that are coding this for us?
I'm quite thankful for his work, and I'll be happy to give his site the traffic if dalgrin would like it to be that way.
Imagine a coworker of yours swiped everything you did, and handed it to your boss and said, "Look what got accomplished this week!"
It's just not cool.
I'd like to go on record by "ANTI-THANKING" this post, but unfortunately that's not possible.

We all know who made the update so that's not the issue here. The issue is not having to get redirected to another site that's going to tell us the exact same information. If anything he should post something here on XDA (a much better community that RootzWiki IMO) and have the exact same stuff here. Why make us go to a certain site?

What he should post here, because YOU think it's a better forum?!

Hey Masta
It was a request by the developer. A simple request to link to the op of his thread is what is deserved. He wants to keep question and counts as he should. I don't like it when people repost mirrors of my stuff either. These threads aren't needed because many are already out linking back to source files.
Not to mention, without dalingrin and team, we wouldn't have such nice toys. They make ground breaking systems, the least we can do is honor their wishes. Would hate to see source closed up due to people not doing what's asked.

I agree, also to mention that by you distributing a linux kernel and also the gapps, you are violating many other agreements. That's why the other site has links to each GIT or repository and you have to download them seperate. This protects everyone as the source can be verified. If someone were to post a zipped up virus / Trojan / keylogger the end user would never know it. Also it's against XDA rules. I'm not trying to be mean, it's just XDA can be called out and has been called out in the past for distributing GAPPS and Linux Kernel without sighting the source.
Link removed, however it's ok to link to the dev's thread and discuss here. Unless you would also like to link to the source's where members can download and build their own roms. Thanks and I hope everyone understands.
Well I didn't see where he said no mirrors at all. But I know I've had problems with goo.gl or whatever it is in the past. Also I didn't claim it was my own. I'll just carry on helping at other sites instead then. Where the members aren't as technically minded and are constantly asking what they need and can't figure out the mess on rootzwiki, so having just one link helps them all no end.
I'm a new user here. I think a link in the first post in this discussion would be useful. A link to the download at rootzwiki is better than no link at all in my opinion but perhaps I am missing something and the link is actually posted somewhere?

The problem is that Dalingrin (one of the dev's that's been working on this project) has specifically asked that people NOT provide external links to his work. He wants to be able to keep track of how many people DL their stuff and do Q&A, via rootzwiki.
In an effort to not piss the guy off, some people respect his wishes.
thanks!!
Just wanted to say thank you.. good job and keep it up!!
Ok all this is what I just found over at another site... Since info on ROMS seems to be in short supply here.... I will offer this.... To my knowledge, this is the most current rom for the RAZR and/or Razor Maxx using ICS....from DroidTh3ory
Razr Operating Roms in order have been; RazrX, then RazrXv1.2, then Eclipse, then Ic3, then Axiom, and now this...wow...all of a sudden that report about ICS in research stage doesn't matter so much, I'm sure the camera will be available within the next month, and being that I use safestrap, a 5 minute swap to the stock rom with working camera for now is easy...amazed at the work everyone does, and feeling better than ever about choosing the Razr over the ReZound and GNex.
MOD Edit: Lets wait for original developers permission to share his work ok?

We really need to get past this point of bickering over posting sites. In the years i've been at XDA, this last year has been horrendous for this kind of stuff. Never in the past has this happened before. People freely posted links to anywhere where we could find a ROM or solution. Now there is unnecessary politics involved at every corner. XDA has no reason to be threatened by any razr site. Even if we all start using alternate razr sites, it will mean nothing to XDA. They are a huge site supporting hundreds of phones. I don't think the site cares if we users are getting information from another site.
Also, the fact that alternate sites have popped up is because of a dis-service from this site. XDA used to be a one stop shop for all versions of solutions and ROMS. Now i look here and see so little for the CMDA (USA Verizon) that i have to wonder what happened. this never used to happen. Were developers like DroidTheory insulted? Is there a benefit to choosing another site? I for one love both sites. But i'm sick of the animosity.

really? one guy posts a link to a very nice file and in the very next thread is a response that says he hopes the poster had permission to post the file here.
That's just not what i used to see here. oh well, it is what it is. It's the new rules, and perhaps I'm just a nostalgic person.
Well in the same reference, since i'm not comfortable with the rules, i'll just mention that i noticed on that same site that the KANG version of ICS 4.03 was just posted.
Downloading it now.
I try to go to every site and sign up for them all. Some things u can find on one site that u can't on another or may be better explained on one site then the other but if its a problem posting something on this site that's not already up here then I may abandoned this site. I guess I kinda abandoned it anyways do to the lack of cdma (USA Verizon) Roms and support. I have even discovered new sites that I didn't know of by people posting stuff from other sites but that don't mean I will never come back to check things out. Hell i was even told that a dev was gonna post his work on another site but keep coming back to here first to check for updates. In the famous words "can't we all just get along."

Ok, I am all in favor of sharing. But rules are rules.
Not all developers think alike, and not all of them like their work being shared without their explicit permissions. Besides, there is no real actual development by just sharing. So THREAD MOVED.
Either way, you do have to respect
Mandatory Thread Title Requirements For Development Section
THREAD CLOSED until the OP gets explicit permission from the original author to share his work here at XDA. When you get that, and the Dev is willing to share and support his work here, I will gladly reopen the thread.
Please understand that sharing what is not yours, is not fair for the original developer, that is why the rule exists, not for any other reason, as I said, I am in favor of sharing, but we do have to respect original developers wishes.
As the title says, i'd like to know, if there's any way to get notified if they have an update for the preview.
Or any page which will contain update notes in the future.
Mostly because i'd really like to use it, play with it and try some programming for it.
the problem is, i only got the nexus, so i have no spare phone.
(even though phone and sms is working, without music I can't live and no, i won't buy an extra mp3 player)
Anyways, would be great if anyone knows a way to get notified.
Else i'd suggest we may start an update thread here(?)
that way i could subscribe to that and look into it when I see it gets 10 pages per hour or so, lol

Hello,
A Mobile version of the Ubuntu "Update Manager"/"Software Upgrader" will be in the works soon, and definitely be done prior to release. So far, the only thing close to a changelog that I have been able to find is on their "Phablet" site. I have documented the details here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38547205&postcount=19

I have some doubts mich,
First, will we see any importante change when moving to Saucy in ubuntu touch?
Second, when I check milestone dates release here https://launchpad.net/ubuntu-touch-preview/+milestones I see that they dont follow these dates, no one has been "released". I have no clear how different fixes commited are realeased, could you explain it a bit?
Thanks man!

Those are milestones, not release dates. Milestones are what we use to target work items. It doesn't mean we're going to tag a 13.06 release image, it just means those are the work items we hope to have done and in the daily images by the end of June (or whichever month the milestone is for). The changelog I posted is the best way to see what is changing between each of the builds.

Oooookay, I see. Thanks a lot!
why am I having a problem finding cyanogenmod 9 or 10 downloads. Other down loads including these 2 are available in threads but when I click on the link it brings me to some ad I'm suppose to download for a product I'm not interested in. I searched for a very long time for cyanogenmod 9 and 10 and couldn't find the actual download. Same for liberty. cyanogenmod 7 is still available but the patch was very hard to find.
it is because the device is aging and so some links for downloads may not have been maintained and updated, the files may be gone from those initial upload sites.
your best chance would be to ask in the correlating thread(or Q/A or General forum for the device) if anyone still has the files that they could upload for you to use.
I recently cleaned house with my storage so I regret to say I cannot help you here, I used to have a DX2 though and was very active in that forum(s). I can say from first hand experience that the users in the DX2 forums are usually always VERY helpful and will even go out of their way to try and find the files for you as well.
don't be afraid to ask directly in the DX2 forums, maybe you will get lucky and one of the people from the forum or someone who USED to have device can get ya rolling!
