Hi ppl, last days I read a lot of post about ROMs for Galaxy Tab 7510 (10.0)... but non of them had the links to the sources (i mean not only the kernel )... so I just decided to start my custom build... but first some newbie questions
1) I saw in the cyanogenmod git repository that they have a version for this tablet called android_device_samsung_p4wifi, but It is currently under development... so the questions would be... does anyone have tried this build config? does it works?
2) is CM9 the best alternative for this tablet? If not... which one would be?
3) if I use the kernel provided by samsung, and the sources from google's git repo (
(android.googlesource.com/platform/manifest), could be possible to generate a ROM that works? or there are a lot of things to program in order to reach a basic ROM?
thanks in advance!

Hi,
assuming there would be a Cyanogenmod of ICS in the near future, how can I take a backup / clone of my device ( Samsung Galaxy S II ) to run inside the emulator?
Basically, I want to make sure that I reconfigured all my applications after switching to a new ROM. At the moment, I have a rooted stock ROM from Samsung on my device.

I was reading the FreeYourAndroid's How to Port Android to Another Device article and I'm really excited to test out some very simple ROM porting/tweaking by my own. But I have some simple questions:
Where to get an AOSP ROM? (Since as you guys said is easier to port)
Is it possible to use that tutorial (as it is) to port an AOSP ROM to a Galaxy Tab?
Is it possible to use that tutorial (as it is) to port an AOSP to a Galaxy S I9000B?
Is it possible to use that tutorial (as it is) to port an AOSP ROM to a Motorola Milestone?
Best Regards

The rom can be found in the above mentioned link. Also the instructions can be found at the slatedroid forum. Which tablet and rom do you have now? Let me know if you cant find the posts. I'll repost them here. Somewhere.

Hey guys. First off I'd like to say that I'm fairly new to all this, so don't be to harsh Anyway. I just installed Android 4.0.3 for the Android Thinkpad, onto my HP Mini 210. It works great, its fast, its awesome. Problem is, the wifi driver. From all the research I've done, I've found out that the linux doesn't natively support the wifi card that the Mini comes with either. So, I went about trying to learn how one would install it in linux. The two links below are to the drivers and the readme for the driver I need to install.
xda forums won't let me post the links... but if you do a quick google search for "802.11 Linux STA driver" it'll be the first one to pop up.
I can't figure out how to install the driver. I feel like I've gotten so close. But my limited knowledge of linux has lead me to a brick wall. Please help me here! Any and all help is greatly appreciated, even if its a link to another forum or site.

Hey guys, been a while since I frequented these forums.
Anyways, I am looking for a decent ROM for my i9300 (currently running ParanoidAndroid).
I would like a ROM that has:
- Samsung camera
- JB style (preferably no TouchWiz at all)
- extended Power Menu
Anyone know if a simple ROM exists with these features?
(I have had a look but I find these forums too difficult to sift through now, there is too many things going on and the new UI is irritating when trying to read- I can't concentrate)

Plz post your questions in Q&A section.
Edit - ignore the title of my post.
Samsung camera requires touchwiz rom.
1) "which rom" threads are not allowed on xda as they end up in arguments
2) general forum is not the place for questions. Q&A is for this
