[Q] [Live] Is it possible to remap the Walkman button? - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

I want to remap the Walkman button that it starts an other music app, because I'm not satisfied with the standard app. Does anybody have an idea?
Thanks for your help.

I just tried ButtonRemapper, it detects only Menu and Back buttons.
Will try to find another solution...
One possibility would be, on rooted phones, to replace the original Walkman app with the custom app, under the same name.
Haven't tested it yet, but might try some other time. - Tried, does not work at all.

I also wanna know this. Because this stock music player is a total ****

Yeah that would be pretty sweet. And a menu option for choosing which app to open.

Xperia Play Music Widget

Just wondering if any geniuses in here are able to get the Music Widget APK and upload it here? I deleted some bloatware with RootExplorer and think I may have deleted it by an accident.
Thanks guys,
Niall ;-)
Just pull it out of the system.img with unyaffs

Mine went away when I replaced SE home with launcherpro somehow, it was quite odd.
yeah, I figured out that it can't actually be used with ADW, anyone have any reason why and do you know of a way to enable it, cause it's a fairly good widget!
its the same situation as with trying to use sense (htc) widgets on Launcher pro/ADW they wont work because they need the framework that is tied to the manufactures launcher.
ah i see, so no way at all of it working, no? Anybody know of a nice widget for music controls that works with the stock SE Xperia Play Music App?
Just use Poweramp.
Good choice of widgets and a lock screen widget.
Also the best music app (with equaliser) on the market.

One widget for all Apps play/pause/skip controls?

I'm sure many ex-iphone owners ask this question, but is there an app/widget that gives you play/pause/skip control to whatever app is using the media player?
I use Spotify, Pandora, Google Music & BeyondPod on a regular basis and hate that i have to have 4 widgets each with their own media controls.
Are their any universal media apps that have widgets to control whatever is playing like the iPhone does?
Thanks

Yep that's the type of thing, is that the only one you know of?
Hiding isn't really a deal killer (although it's a nice feature), something that shows album art would be pretty great too.
Thanks for the help

get MiUI lockscreen media control
I also was looking for something like this. But to take it a step further, I wanted it accessible from any application just like on the iPhone when you double tap the home button. I don't want to have to stop what I'm doing, switch apps over to the home screen (for a widget) or to the app to change tracks or pause the music.
An easy way (I thought) to have this done would be to have controls in the notification bar. However, it doesn't seem possible on gingerbread, or at least I haven't found anything. I guess ICS has that by default though so at least there's hope for the future.

Check out Quick Desk in the market.

It you double tap Home it brings up a screen where you can add widgets or shortcuts. You can invoke it anytime. Very handy for say volume or music widgets while playing a game.

Lockscreen with music controls

First of all I don't know if I'm on the right section, maybe this has to go to Q&A. Anyway, my question is this: is there any mod or app to install, with music control in lockscreen, as the title suggests? I'm on stock and rooted rom, tried stock music player and Apollo, no luck. Also tried holo locker, no luck either. I come from an Xperia phone and I really like and miss this features. Any ideas? Thanks!!

POWER AMP have this feature like ics lockscreen
Widgetlocker
Use widgetlocker (a free app in the play store!). With that, you can design your own lock screens (or use the default one) and you can then add ANY widget you want. Music, news feed, ANY WIDGET!
Thanks for the answers, finally I ended up in Winamp, so everything is fine now.

Widget to Widget?

Hello i am having a REALLY hard time setting up my new rom (foxhound 2.7 on my i9300).
Here is the deal: i like samsung's stock widgets. I like the flashlight and i like the turn off all sounds. But on the launcher i want to use for the rest of my (phone's) life, doesn't see them. In fact there are some launchers that do not see all system widgets.
These widgets i speak of are built in my rom, so please don't mention touchwiz, it has nothing to do with this and i CAN apply these widgets to holo launcher hd (for example) and others.
There are many workaorunds for the flashlight widget, and i can learn to live without all other stock widgets of samsung. But i have never found a better "turn off all sounds" feature than samsungs widget. Now i assume i could send a report to go launcher ex dev team and wait forever for them to not fix this problem, or i could find a solution.
What i need is the experience of you guys, please: i need to find a widget that can link to other existing ones in the phone and act as them, and hopefully go launcher ex will allow me to use this widget.
I do not intend to change launcher, but if anyone can offer a VALID alternative to that launcher (it doesn't just lower all sounds to 0, it completely disables the phone sound output. THIS is what i'm looking for, hopefully in a widget but even if not it's fine).
Many app out there claim to be able to mute all sounds, but not as efficiently as this samsung stock widget, please help:banghead:

Just to give you an option: you could create a Tasker task and widget button to turn off all sounds.
Sent from my Nexus 7 (2013)
Thanks. I know i could probably figure out how to do this some way, but tasker is a very detailed app, if you already know how to do this would you mind giving me guided steps?

Alright i got some 2 raw widgets working, but no matter what action i choose with tasker (in the sound section) i do not get the turn off all sounds effect just like in the samsung widget.
???
And i didnt find any option to enable another widget....any help?
