Does anyone know of a audiobook player that will remember where you last stopped playing? I'm currently using Beyondpod, but it always skips back to a completely different point when I return to an audiobook that I was previously listening to.
Thanks for Beyondpod tip. Had no idea it plays local files too. Just tried it and it temembers last position for me. Even if i go to other audiobook.
I use AudioBook Player 2. Very spartan, but doea the job perfectly.

No, it's not the one where my music stops at 2 minutes .
I have tried searching for this topic, but searching for Winamp glitch, or Winamp playback issue keeps on bringing back the same threads.
My glitch is pretty odd.
When playing a group of songs from a playlist or an album from a certain artist the song will occasionally insert another track -in the middle- of the currently playing track.
For example:
If I am currently playing Track 1, somewhere in the middle of the track the song will switch to Track 4 but Winamp is still showing that I'm playing Track 1 (with the minutes counting down as usual). If I let it continue playing, towards the end of the track I the song usually switches back to Track 1. If I skip the song it will skip as normal, if I go to the beginning of the song the problem replicates itself.
This does not happen all the time, but it happens often enough to annoy the **** out of me. Anybody experience a similar issue?
I have had this happen...with the stock player AND with Miui player. Just think of it as a mashup!
If it happened more often I would be quite annoyed...
I've had this happen as well using both the stock player and winamp. There seem to be a lot of bugs that Motorola shipped this device with. This one and the front microphone/44100hz sound recording bug are two of the worst in my opinion.

Yeah, a mash up would actually be the perfect way to describe what's happening. Although most times the songs don't match so it sounds like ****
So I guess nobody has come up with a solution?
Edit: Just to add... I won't be too bothered by this glitch if I could simply skip to the next track. The problem is, I usually listen to music during my commute on motorcycle (1 hour each way) and don't have access to the phone controls. So I'm stuck having to listen to the mismatched music till it ends.
Happens to me too.

This has happened several times to me using the default music app. Does anyone know if this happens on other phones or is it our specifically?
Well I came from a nexus one and this never happened. ever! On my atrix I've also noticed skips where its like a bad cd but... its not

I had that problem too.
Just remove Winamp or your favorite Music Player from the Autoclose list in the Task Manager.
Get an app called "HeadSet Blocker" i had this issue on the default one. After using these..haven't had a song skipped yet. Its a widget so make you have turned on.

i use winamp every day and i've never came across this issue. i did previously experience a glitch with the song skipping in the beginning of the song but i no longer have that issue. running GingerBlur v1.3, latest winamp version. I also didnt experience this on the stock rom or on GladiAtrix.
Anybody getting distorted sound? I think it nay be a sample rate issue. Doesn't matter the level certain songs have clear distortion like its clipping but its not.

Try this song on your Atrix. Distorted for me.

I had this happen to me a couple of times
I'm not sure if you are describing the bug I have had or not. I've had the default music player essentially just start taking over when I'm already using a different player. If you are rooted you can safely freeze the default music app and it fixes this problem.
I used to be a big fanboy of WinAmp, now due to too many failures /hickups I moved to MixZing. This player just works and I never experienced ANY problems.
Big thumbs up for that one - I'm never going back.
Try it out if you are not too hung up on ONLY WinAmp...
I've absolutely had this! Glad I'm not alone.
Its happened with the stock player, the leaked new player from a week ago, and even with doubleTwist.
Its rare and each time seems to be caused when I skip a track then decide to go backwards to the previous one.
All through the song its like it wants to skip back to the middle of the one I was on before I skipped back.
+1 for Mixzing. Just tried it now & it seems way better than stock or Winamp. Thanks, Robert_it.

Hi guys,
I have been using the phone for 1 week now. Each time I play a video file (xvid/dvix) encoded using Rockplayer/Moboplayer, my phone randomly hangs. The only way out is to.restart the phone. Has anyone else experienced same issue? This only happens while video playback is going on. And mostly it hangs at exactly same position in the file as before. These files used to play fine on Nexus One and iPhone, so the files are ok. Any suggestions on what could be wrong?

I can't give you a reason why they hang, but i do have a question...
why not use the player on the Galaxy? It's perfectly fine and can handle almost any file type and 1080p HD vids...
I'm using moboplayer, not getting what youre talking about at all. Plays smoothly. And as to the 2nd post for why not use stock player?
Well I watch videos on this while I do cardio everyday... a little over an hour each day. Moboplayer has touch controls. You can swype different parts of the screen in different directions. For example: adjust brightness, skip forward/backward, and control volume. Its a bit easier to use than stock player cause of that. That's my only reason really.

I wish I could just do that. The issue is that same media when played from SD card, plays via internal player. However it says "Video can not be played" when played via upnp. I have tried both allshare and skifta. Same issue.
I watch different stuff when at home, since it is on a NAS which has a upnp server, it makes more sense not having to transfer all that stuff.

So my Atrix will not play a select few albums I ripped to my pc using iTunes. I don't know what to do as some of the exact same file types play flawlessly. I get an error saying that this file type is not supported for playback. Can any one point me in the right direction?

I had the same problem weeks ago and now that I have Google Music from the market they play in every app(that I have checked). Let me know if that works for you like it did me.
IAll my music and ringtones are synced from iTunes and I never have any issues. I use PlayerPro, and have found it's the best player for me.
You could also try converting the music to mp3 format.
Has anyone been able to use the internet radio function onthe new music player. I can never get any stations to show up on the list . Any help would be appreciated

I too have the Issue..
For me Internet Radio plays fine on Wi-Fi but not on 4G.
Did you tried Music app with both connectivity?
Internet Music functions great for me over wifi and 3G. It's not that many channels though. Podcasts also works for me.
Rooted 2.3.4. OEM Standard Dock and Car Dock. Not deodexed.
With the previous music player you could stop in the middle of the song and two days later you could press play and it would go again. Has anyone else had this problem? I listen to audio books and after I close out the music player I have to search through it again to find the right point.

I noticed it also. I could normally press play and get the last playlist I was in.
My dads atrix is having a hiccup. When he plays music through the native music player it seems to be stuck in fast forward, rather like the old magnetic tape, when playing normally. Can anyone give me a hand with this tricky error?
Does this happen with and without headphones in?
Have you tried any 3rd party music player apps yet?...
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
happens whether headphones are in or not and my dad won't use an after market music player, stobborn believer in manafacturer apps. Don't stress, did a reset and its all fixed
