CM9 Beta... I Broke The Camera - Motorola Photon 4G

I was using the camera app in Joker's CM9 beta. I believe the first release of the Beta. Then I started messing with the settings, and hit something I shouldn't have... Because now whenever I open the camera app, it says "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped." So I guess it force closes all over me. Do I have reflash, or is there some way to clear the settings or something..?
Thanks in advance!

- Try wiping cache/dalvik and reboot
- Install a 3rd part app like Camera Zoom FX
- If that doesn't work, I think you need to reflash and then isntall a 3rd party app

1. Go to ManageApps
2. Select ALL in the Top Right
3. Go to Camera
4. Clear data
That would fix it

Clear data worked, thanks!

CM7 Crashes?

I've been running CM7 on my Attic 4G AT&T for about a month now.. and just recently, whenever I try to take a picture or open the gallery, the app crashes. Anyone having the same issues or have any way to fix it?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
Just reflash it from CWM - it wont wipe anything. I'd also reinstall gapps. Should fix any issues. I've been running the Beta of CM7 since a day or two after its release. Never had any issues. Only thing I could consider an 'issue' was a bad kernel flash, which re-flashing the CM7 Beta.zip fixed.
I reflashed CM7 and the camera still doesn't work. I don't have the issue with the gallery crashing anymore, but whenever I press the button to take a picture, I get a popup saying the camera crashed.

Contacts/People force closing

Today I started getting force close errors when I try and open people via the shortcut on my home screen or through the app list. I am running BAMF cubed for a week now with no issues so I don't think that is the problem. I tried restoring to a previous backup, wiped my dalvik cache and normal cache, did a wipe and flashed back to a clean install of BAMF Cubed and my "people" still force close every time I open it. Only thing I have left that I know of is a factory reset and unrooting to see if that fixes it but really don't want to. Process com.android.htccontacts force close is the error I am getting. Anybody have anything else I could try?
I had this trouble as well after I installed Google+ 2.0 and Music 4.0 from ICS. After I removed both, everything started working again.

That did the trick! Thanks a ton!
must be google +, no problems with google music from ICS on my bolt.
From reading a few different forums, I can confirm this... The leaked google+ app is causing that issue on all roms.

[Q] camera not work in ICS cm9 alpha beta :(

I download Cm9 beta with camera and camera work but after 15 min the camera not work i don't know why ?? i want fix it please if any body know to solve this problem tell me .. im waiting
Is it coming back with an error "cannot connect to camera"? if it is the go to settings - manage apps - camera - and force stop and clear data
after you do what dude^ said, try downloading a third party camera app from the market. not saying it will fix the issue your having but ive noticed on roms with known camera issues (only as long as its listed that camera has been "fixed") sometimes a third party camera will give better results than stock. my personal favorite is "magix camera MX" its free on the market and is very user friendly. i know the most popular one is "camera ZOOM FX" but i pirated it just to test it, and i didnt like it at all.

ICS camera problem

Ive moved to cMIUI rom lately, and after playing with the ICS Camera I have noticed that I can't capture pictures with the front camera, and some other features doesn't work either.. when trying to use the features the message "Unfortunately, Camera ICS has stopped".
Any one had the problem? or have a solution?
It's a rom-related problem. Maybe you flashed the latest experimental/nightly

It's a ROM problem. These are the options you can try:
1. You can try third-party camera apps in market
2. Flash the latest version of the Rom
3. Stay with the Rom and live with the problem
4. Flash another ROM. There are plenty good ROMs out there.

How did you install it? What were the exact steps you did? The camera should be working.

problem, setting has stopped

Greetings to all.
I have a lg v30 + h933 and it turns out that every time I try to enter settings, I get the message of which settings were stopped and so it does not allow me to enter settings, try erasing cache from the same application, forcing the arrest and there is no solution. Restore from factory or the problem continues, I do not know what else to do. Someone with a good heart who can help me with the request. Thank you.
It seems this problem is caused by corrupted cache-files or troubles with the RAM(-Files) or 3rd Party Applications.
Try to restart in safe mode (While phone is on, hold power button -> hold for 3 seconds "Shutdown")
This will start your phone without 3rd Party Apps - if you can enter settings now, deinstall the last installed apps which could cause the problem. You could try to wipe cache data in Apps from Settings.
If it dont works you could try to wipe cache partition or restore to factory if you didnt tried till now.
Did you have installed TWRP or do you have Stock Recovery?
Do you have a GCam 6 port installed? I had the same issue until I uninstalled the buggy GCam port I had installed.

erase data and cache of all my applications and the error disappeared, start a port of the gcam and the error came back, uninstall and now everything is fine

You know of some port of the gcam that is stable for the v30 and includes night sight and wide angle
Same problem on my H930!
Also I'm looking for a GCam Port with night sight and wideangle.
I've been using this one for Night Sight and haven't had any problems so far: NoHex_MGC_6.1.021_MI8_V2a+.apk

That version has not the option to choose the wide angle camera...

NVM - I found the solution:
You have to open Settings and in BSG MOD settings activate "Add AUX to Camera Switch". Once done, go back to the cam and switch the cam with the bottom left icon twice. It will swith between Normal Cam, Front Cam and Wide Cam.
Hope it helps.
A common problem that causes certain settings pages to crash is having a theme applied to the system (At least in most of the cases I've seen)
If settings is just crashing immediately when you open it then this would be a different issue.
