Is this the right forum for the T-Mobile USA GS II?
No, this is the i9100 section, tmobile USA SGS2 is the SGH-T989 Version.

T mobile S2 is different from the international version. There is a separate forum for it on xda.

The phone is obviously sim-locked, no need to redirect him to another forum.

Yes I understand that, but his problem is that it's T mobile but locked to at&t which is weird. Maybe someone in the correct forum knows about it. I doubt people here have heard of such a thing.

First thing you need to do is confirm model number. Look on the label under battery. Is it GT-I9100? Could be that it's a European T-Mobile Galaxy SII that somehow got sim-locked to AT&T.
T-Mobile Europe is different than T-Mobile USA, and uses different frequencies.
EDIT: FYI, GT-I9100 will work on both T-Mobile USA and AT&T, but will only get Edge data speeds on T-Mobile USA. It only gets 3G/H/H+ on AT&T's network, or other network that uses the same frequencies as AT&T. T-Mobile USA has their own bastardized version of the Galaxy SII, which is the SGH-T989.
In addition to that, AT&T has their own branded version of the Galaxy SII, which is the SGH-I777, and a bastardized version that is LTE enabled called the Skyrocket, which is the SGH-I727.
And this doesn't even mention all the other models for other North American carriers, or any of the Asian variants.
All really confusing, huh? Clear as mud?
I am using a tmobile galaxy s2 on at&t network . I can flash a skyrocket radio to get lte bands ?

1. This isn't T-Mobile forums
2. This isn't Skyrocket forums
You have an Tmobile GSII but you want to flash a Skyrocket radio?
Im not even sure where to send this off to (back to Tmobile or the Skyrocket forums) so Im just going to close this and you can figure out where to read and ask.
Hey guys,
Is the Bell version of the galaxy s3 the same as the at&t version? If there then this might be interesting on Bell's page it least's AWS as network compatibly.
Here's the link:http://www.bell.ca/Mobility/Products/Samsung-Galaxy-S3/Specifications.tab
If it lists AWS out of the box then it probably is not the same.

Also, this is the wrong forum.
Sprint GS2 is the Epic 4G Touch... that forum is http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1281
This forum is for the i9100. A phone that doesn't even work on Sprint's network.
This is a forum for the international version, i9100. Galaxy s2 Epic 4g touch is SPH-D710 and is a completely different device and has its own forum

Hi there.
I would like to ask wether the internationl/UK '3G' version of the Galaxy S3 (GT-i9300 i think) is compatible with the newer DC-HSPA+ (or DC-HSDPA+) band standard?
Please advice. Thanks.
What "new" standard?
What country are you in? What carrier?
I get HSPA and HSPA+ on my gt-i9300

DC-HSPA+. Double speed compared to regular HSPA+ at the same MIMO settings.

DC-HSPA is only compatible with the LTE version of the international model, (I9305) the I9300 is not compatible.
I'm with T-mobile UK with a "standard" Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300) model.
I heard Three UK's DC-HSDPA is twice better than that of T-mobile's or Orange's and (in my opinion) could be a cheaper/better bridge towards a future LTE handset upgrade.
WOuld you agree?
Shall i get the S3 LTE (GT-I9305) which is DC-HSDPA enabled on a contract or get the latest S4 bearing in mind Samsung has a habit of releasing "updated" versions of their Galaxy S phones mid-life.
