webOS 3.0.5 WebOS Quick Install - TouchPad General

Hello
After i update my Touchpad, WebOS Quickinstall didn't find my Tablet.
Does anyone have the same problem?
With the 3.0.4 version, i didn't have any problem.

Did you check that you still have developer mode on? (webos20090606)
If you are on developer mode, maybe try reinstalling the novacom driver.

Development mode is on and the driver was reinstalled directly by WebOSQuickInstall.

I just had a similar issue. I had to download the sdk, and reinstall the driver. Even tho it was installednd previously working. You don't need to install the whole thing. See Root Wiki.

i have done the same one but it didn't help.

[INFO] Mac OS Lion Novacom drivers

If anyone has tried using WebOSQuickInstall you will know that the novacom drivers it tries to download fail on lion, so here are the drivers from the webos 3.0.2 SDK which should work (works on my late 2009 MacBook running lion) (use at own risk)
Download
Edit: before I get into trouble for these links I have decided to pull them. The best way to get them us via the webos sdk
Hope this helps
That worked! Thanks so much, no more rebooting into Bootcamp for me.
Thanks for that! Works great!
Eventhough I found the Novacom driver installer inside the SDK package, and installed it just fine, still I get the same message from Webos Quick Installer (4.2.3) "No devices connected. Please connect a device to continue". My device is in Developer Mode (HP Pre 3). I've tried putting it in normal mode and back to dev mode again, same thing. I restarted my mac twice, same thing. Does anyone have any idea why is this happening? I tried the whole process on my brother's laptop (win xp professional), and works just fine. So, what am doing wrong?
Plug it in but don't put it in usb mode

thanks for that !!
Can you repost the driver?
please update the first link
webos sdk has a big size just for a one little driver
Here's a fix for the driver:
After a failed install...
vim `which start-novacom`
add an "F" after the -w... so the command looks now like:
sudo launchctl load -wF /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.palm.novacomd
then run start-novacom, and novacomd will load and things will work.

[Q] Unable to Recognize Vibrant Download Mode in Windows 7 x64

So I've searched and tried and have been completely unsuccessful. I cannot for the life of me get my windows 7 32 bit or my 4 bit systems to recognize my vibrant in download mode. Neither Heimdall or Odin see it. I'm running the Trigger version of CM7. I've tried every driver out there (I think) and nothing seems to work.
Suggestions, help, a point in the right direction are all welcome.
Thanks
KenR
Have you connected it to the USB ports on the back on the computer? The ones connected directly to the motherboard?
USB debugging

I have to plug and unplug mine a few times before windows recognizes it... I'm running 64 bit windows 7 on my desktop and 32 bit windows 7 on my laptop. Both of my computers recognize it...
Good luck.
I think you may need the Nexus S drivers for CM7
Get a new data cable, I had the same issue and a new cable fixed it.

Try usbdeview. maybe all your ports have the wrong driver

This happened with me, and I had to re-flash trigger to get it working again.
Edit: You are specifically mentioning Download Mode, I had no recognition when the phone was on. Did not try to check DL mode.

This. You can get them from the ADK.
Thanks for the info. I'll try the nexus s drivers

I tried the ADT drivers but I'm still unable to get Hiemdall or Odin to recognize my vibrant in download mode. Current rom is Trigger CM7 version. Any ideas.
BTW, the download mode doesn't look like what I saw with the regular roms. No triangle with the android icon digging a hole.
ugh! I'm an idiot. I was using the wrong method to get into download mode. Fixed now! thanks everyone

Galaxy S2 Driver Issues

Hello,
I have searched everywhere but I can not find a solution to my problem.
A few weeks ago I was able to connect my phone to my computer and Eclipse without issue. All the drivers worked even without Kies ever being installed.
Then I installed Cyanogenmod for my Galaxy S2. Here is the guide I followed.
After that my computer would not recognize any drivers. I uninstalled all drivers related to my phone, I even installed Kies. My computer still won't recognize any drivers.
Please help.
Have you tried the USB Driver for Windows from the Android SDK?
http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html
Thanks, I tried it but it didn't help. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers in SDK Manager. I updated SDK Manager and that didn't help either. Nothing seems to work. Kies still will not successfully install the drivers either, even if I use "Run as Administrator"
same 4 me i tried on 2 pc still nothing
Could someone please help. I use my phone for development.
If Cyanogenmod does not work with Eclipse and the Android SDK it should at least be confirmed.
Same problem here: after installation of Cyanogen PC wont recognise Galaxy S2 (even after re-installing drivers/kies; using a different PC; etc.).
I am not blaming anyone here, just wondering whether there is a solution.
Would it help to flash back to stock ROM for instance?
Ok..I have checked xda, but not cyanogen forum. The reason is a differently built Rom, not based on standard Samsung rom. I would post a link, but can't as new user. So flashing back or taking a rom based on Samsung would help.
Thanks for posting Sokarius. I am glad to hear I am not the only one with this problem.
I may back up my phone and give MIUI a try to see if that works. Other wise I may have to revert back to the stock firmware. I will be testing it more over the Holidays.
I can't believe I couldn't find this before. You're post hinted that a Google driver may be needed since CM uses the Google source.
Turns out CM has had a tutorial all along.
I followed it and everything is working now. Eclipse works great. My SGS2 is emulating again.

[Q] Can't install S3 drivers

So, trying to install the driver exe file from Samsung's website and it won't work. Keeps saying that it failed to install drivers. And, if I have the phone as USB Debugging enabled, it'll pop up with 2 out of 4 that says it failed to install.
My roommate was able to install the .exe file on his Windows 8 beta laptop (I'm running Windows 7 64-bit) without a problem. And, the phone installed fine on his laptop as well. For me, no.
If USB Debugging is not enabled, then yeah, the phone is fine. But, since I want to root this thing, it won't accept the drivers. And, nowhere on Google, searching or Samsung's website provides me any answers whatsoever.
I've done:
Going through regedit and deleting all things Samsung related
Deleted every Samsung folder on my hard drive
Rebooted the computer
Uninstalled the drivers
Reinstalled multiple times
Downloading and installing Kies (did not install any drivers, still failed)
I've done everything I can possibly think of. Couldn't find any answers on here, either. And, doesn't help that the search function is broken.
So, anyone have any idea on how to fix this? And, please do not say "Reinstall Windows" because that's just ridiculous and I shouldn't have to do that for a simple phone driver install. I had my Epic 4G before and that all went smoothly.
Go do something in control panel and uninstall the samsung drivers that you already have on your comp
Then try installing
But I reccomend reinstalling windows

+1
I had the same issue with mine on xp. Uninstalled my et4g drivers and installed the gs3 drivers. After a restart, the pc finally recognized my phone as a mass storage.

I already said that I did that.

And, I'm not reinstalling Windows all over again just for this phone, as I also said. But, it doesn't matter, I already got it rooted through the roommate's laptop.
EDIT: I managed to get it to work. My other half had similar problems with device drivers so just had to have me remove the phone from USB, uninstall driver and then plug the phone back in. And, it actually worked.

get.cm CyanogenMod Installer HELP

Hi all
I'm stuck and not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
When accessing get.cm they introduced met to the CM installer, installed it and downloaded the app on my GT-I9300 running CM10.2 M1 snapshot, changed the USB debugging settings and put USB in camera mode (like the app told me to do), but Windows 7x64 does not recognise the new driver and I cant seem to find one working. I have installed Kies and googled 7 sorts of goo out of it but nothing.
Now I cant check for new CM releases or download anything to test, please help the noob 8D.

U can download Ubuntu live cd and use it to flash roms or download the rom directly to your device (if you've already got cwm).
Everything I've read says you need to get rid of Kies from your system before doing any third party flashing since it can interfere. There is a file posted numberous places around here called Samsung Drivers or something like that which will install your drivers without Kies. I think alternatively you can install Kies, hook up your device in the mode you will be using, make sure drivers are installed, then remove Kies without selecting the remove drivers option and this will accomplish the same thing.
