[Q] Camera issue - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a good camera app that can take good pictures without making things blurry??

I highly recommend camera fx, it is really good and has a lot of options. The other thing to check is to make sure your camera lens on the back of your phone isn't all scratched up. If it is, Google vibrant replacement housing and you can replace it for next to nothing.

no. and just to be safe make sure your in a dust free work environment lol. that hardest part about installing the ffc is the patience it takes to remove the paint. good luck with the install. all it really consist of doing is. removing 7 screws. pop of the back part. remove the old camera. clean out the paint thats inside. then swap camera. then put the phone back together.

((Q)) Can I install two camera apks on my phone?

I want the hacked camera in sgs tools
But I don't want to lose my regular camera.

[Q] terrible camera. Will it improve?

Will the camera improve once we get the official 2.3.4 update?

Does your camera have a PROBLEM or is it just unsatisfactory?
The upgrade you're talking about hasn't improved camera quality. Some say it's worse, with a few minor improvements... but it's difficult to judge. What I'm confident about though is that it probably isn't going to dazzle anyone judging from the preliminary feedback. No one is ranting and raving about it unfortunately.
Agree, the camera does not produce very good pictures, mine are not focused, blury, dull etc., have not complained since it is not on top of my list but would be very happy if it could be improved, as it is at the moment not much use for taking acceptable pictures.
lol, NO ONE knows how much it will improve the camera or not, only Motorola does im sure, or testers. we have topics covering this. i have posted a topic about it with many pictures. we wont know how much the camera will be improved until the "real" release (OTA). the hongkong or whatever one isnt the official release. the people thinking the camera in that one is what it will look like in the OTA need to think again. There is a app called Camera 360 you should download and try, if you like it buy it. it improves the quality/color alot. if you put it on enhance or HDR mode.
The issue i have is the flash in the stock at, it doesnt capture at the right moment lol. with focus it think it does very well. also make you wipe it off well, it gets dirty easy i have noticed. when HTC releases the mytouch 4gslide i will most likely go to it cause its supposed to have a great camera, etc. as well as nokias N9 that looks great.
My pictures are just fine. This isn't an slr or even a point-n-shoot. It's a camera phone with a lens 3/16th of an inch in diameter.
First thing anyone should do with any phone is clean the lens before taking pictures. Grease and dirt from your hands will make pictures appear to be dull, out of focus, and blurry. My phone takes decent pictures. Could it be better? Yes. Is it good enough? Also a yes for a phone camera.

I wanted to say this, but my post count isn't high enough. I ASSUMED that people would know this. And oddly, I didn't have as much of an issue with needing to make sure the lens is clean on my last phone as I do with the Atrix. I wonder if it's because my last phone had the lens in the middle and the Atrix lens is at the edge?

Roflmfao just watched that video again gets me every time.
Sent from my handheld super computer.
I think the camera is much better than my iPhone. I can understand everyones complaints but after dragging the pictures to my comp they are much my h better to view. Also the video is awesome, not so my h when watching on the phone itself but after transfer to comp its amazing. Stop *****ing about all these little things and just go buy a different phone and stop sh**ing up the Attic forum.
using additional programs like Vigette dose not make photos better?

I came to the Atrix from an iPhone 4. Generally, I love Android and everything about my Atrix, to the point where I even bought the hyper-expensive webtop thing (with the debian mod, of course). But the camera being better than the iPhone? I would say you're seeing through rose-colored glasses, but given how the Atrix takes pictures, tulip-colored glasses may be more appropriate.
Don't know what all the qq is about. I just shot 300 pictures of a vacation. Only a few bad apples.

Shake it, what do you hear?

everyone shake your photon and let me know if u hear any internal rattles. im hearin on in mine, and i thought maybe it was the tab for the SIM but i pulled the cover off and held it and its not that.
anyone know where its coming from if yall have the same noise? its gonna drive me insane!
I think it has to do with the camera lens. The lens makes a noise too when you open the camera app.

That's the only thing I don't like about the Photon, and mainly because it inflames my OCD.

there has been threads on this before lol. its the lense cover inside the camera, its loose when its closed. soon as you turn the camera on it you hear the click when it opens and it gets locked snugly in place.

This! They all do it, nothing to be worried about really.

it's volume buttons or camera lenses.
Upon reading this, i gave my phone a thourough shake and found that i was hearing something rattle around in there. I switched on my camera - shook - and the rattle was still there. Listening closely, i heard it coming from the bottom of my phone, any ideas on what this is? Its not a big deal because i hardly shake my phone. i just want to make sure that it isn't going to be a problem in the long run.

i searched "noise in phone" and such, but now i see i needed to search "rattle"
question answered anyways, thats what the forums are for.
My camera button is loose and rattles. It does not bother me enough to take the phone back but I do wish it was in there solid like my friends photon.
I hear the rattle...not from the buttons thou..sounds like the camera lense
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
I believe that rattle is from the shaky micro sd card if you have one. For some reason it doesn't make the noise when the battery is off. Or maybe it is the camera...but i highly doubt its the camera.
It is most likely the position sensor that lets the phone know it's orientation.
Folks, this has been covered. The camera lens cover hangs loose and when the camera starts it's pulled aside and fixed into place. Can be verified easily by starting the camera application or a flashlight application and noting that the rattle stops.

FFC issues.

So I bought the ffc and installed it but I'm getting multi colored lines across the screen for the back camera and the front is way fuzzy. Any tips/ideas for this? I'm running passion v11, let me know, thanks!
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
Lol, yeah you got a 1st generation camera and that's going to happen with the lines unless you get a gen 2 camera. As far as the fuzziness, I'm gonna guess you didn't focus the super tiny ring on the outside of it? Not laughing at you, just the sutuation.
Dam you gotta be kidding. So I'm screwed here or what?

The lines should only occur in dark settings. I have a rev 1 from awhile ago I'm OK with it. Not like i Skype in the dark.

Well the lines only seam to occur in the viewfinder. When I take the picture, they're either gone or nearly completely invisible. So for 20 bucks this turned out to be a good deal
Sent from my SGH-T959 using Tapatalk
Yeah the lines are harder to see in the actual picture but it can be annoying when taking pictures in darker settings. As for the focus on the front cam, it's a little hard cause you need to have the camera plugged in to see when it is actually in focus. I just used some tweesers and angled the camera towards me a little so I could still see on the screen what the cam was pointing at and focused it that way. It's still a good setup for the average user, so $20 isn't a loss.

Yeah the tweezers is what I used! It looks decently focused for the most part, I used it for Skype last night and it seemed to be better quality video than my Toshiba net book!
