No network (GSM/3g) or wifi?
You might have messed up Radio

stupid question (but sometimes DOES mean something):
did you still have the bottom cap on (the cover of battery, sim and SD section)?

Well

Are you sure you have unlocked the phone? What does it say when you are in boot loader?

I am not sure. But I think you go ahead and flash the new rom. This should solve your problem.

[Q] qestion about bootloader unlocking

hi, I have a questions..searched for it..did not found any conclusive answer:
-unlocking my bootloader- does that mean i have my sim unlocked aswell ?
(i can insert any sim card) ???
Nope,bootloader doesn't mean that u have your sim unlocked,its a different thing.

Careful buddy u gonna mess ur phone up. U have no reason to downgrade kernel now flashtool can do it all on 2.3.3. If u unlocked successfully then it will still be unlocked unless u relock it yourself (flashing new Rom/changing kernel etc will not relock it). Refer to various guides on bl unlock but be careful. That sounds like a recipe for disaster pal. (if u need help pm me but it sleep time for me now so it'll b tomoz)

Bootloader

I'm trying to solve a problem, but I realize that I need some help, and I think that my question could be someone's question too.
Is it possible to unlock the bootloader with the smartphone locked to Vodafone or other service provider? If not, how can I unlock the smartphone?
Yes, you can. My sim-card is also locked, i suggest you unlock bootloader from newest flashtool cuz it's easier.
Or use the guide by 9Lucas5 (use semc.bat)
I tried to use the 9Lucas5 guide but I've got no results, probably because I have emuled Windows on my MAC OS .
But I haven't tried with this new version of the flashtool yet. Do I need any firmware?

I have x10i too, but it didn't work. Tomorrow I will try again.
I have many times unlocked bootloader, perfectly know this procedure and has noticed, that sometimes it is possible to reach result, only by preliminary flashing of official 2.1 ROM. Certainly, thus it is not more necessary to do "kernel downgrade"

Use flashtool method not kernel up/down method it slightly old and flashtool is a one button method which doesn't require changing kernel in any way (from gb)

That's not what it does. It means that if u use a custom kernel it will boot into that straight away, saving time, rather than booting up semc kernel then custom one (hence why se logo disappears on boot)

I was able to unlock the bootloader by following this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343

Bootloader unlock worked - after Reboot the Network Lock is still there

Hidiho.
I unlocked the bootloader step for step on HTC-Dev.
It worked and all, but after i restarted the device, the network lock was still there.
Whats the problem?
Do i have to set the developer setting again?
Or is the problem a branded Android and i have to install Cyanogenmod?
Thx in advance

Bootloader unlock is not the same as a network unlock. You need to do a SIM unlock. There's another thread in this section that tells you how to get that done.

Bootloader and Network are two different things, so unlocking the bootloader doesn't automatically unlock the network. Which network is your phone locked to?
Oops wtf ^^ i dont know if you know this network its A1 because i'm living in austria.
Do you think the network lock is removed when i install cyanogenmod on the device?
Thx

How to root my S9+ in 2022?

Hi guys. I was wondering how could I root my device, been trying on my own for days and couldnt get it done. Im on Android 10 and my version is SM-G9650. Ive never flashed any rom or recovery to it, what I could do was to unlock? the bootloader of my device by going to dev setting and activating OEM unlock. Thanks beforehand.
So you say you can't get root done but then at the end you claim to only have unlocked the bootloader. I'm presuming you've searched XDA for the numerous rooting guides available that provide step by step instructions? If your using a guide then you should be past the unlocking of the boot loader and there would be some step you are stuck on? Can you tell us that step?
