[Mod] Smartass2 / ondemandX on Neo V stock kernel - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hi,
I wondering if anyone with stock kernel like me want to test or use one of this two governors on Neo V. If yes - I can share compiled modules in 'Xperia Neo V Android Development' forum.

[REQ] Dev Section for Xperia Neo V

There is no development section in Xperia Neo regarding the child phone Xperia Neo V.
I would like to request xda to open a subforum in the Xperia Neo section, regarding the development of the new phone Neo V.

Hi, this request has been already passed to the admins but that doesn't guarantee a forum will be created.
In the meantime posts can be in the Xperia Neo section as long as this work is clearly labelled as Neo V. Just in case someone causes damage to their device by using the wrong files.
Regards,
Thank you

There is a thread in NEO ANDROID DEVELOPMENT SECTION by name [ NEO V ] RAW firmware v2.3.4. There are links provided in first thread. But those files cannot be flashed directly , you need to make then as .ftf files by using FLASHTOOL. ( there is a noob guide in XDA search for it ) .

Once we get enough votes, there will be a section. Just let other Neo V users know where to vote.

the Xperia Neo V is the revised version of normal Xperia Neo so very soon there will be more people with Xperia Neo V than Xperia Neo. This is because of the costs in production of normal Xperia Neo that Sony Ericsson is not making more Xperia Neo.
So please give support also for Xperia Neo V with its different camera firmware. thanks!
you can count my vote too
please make a new forum for xperia neo V

Neo V can flash xperia neo's ROM or kernel?

I am asking this for my friend. He wanted to have miui on his neo V. Also a stable overclock kernel. Can I flash ROM or kernel to my friend's neo V?
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA Premium App
If your friend wants MIUI he will have to use the MIUI based kernel
Which afaik don't support overclocking
If he wants overclocking he will have to use InteksKernel V15
For ROMS and Kernels the phones bootloader wll have to be unlocked
The same can me done very easily
~But you void warranty

Yes, i tried DooMKerneL (stable OC up to 2GHz on my Neo V), Inteks kernel (stable 1.8GHz), MIUI kernel works, and CyanogenMod7 from Neo works too. The only disadvantage is not working camera (it can be fixed, but there is no 100% fix for it), but camera is a ROM issue, kernel doesn't affect it

Hi there,
I am pretty sure you have got many replies in here.
Actually you can flash kernels above roms, just download a kernel that suits your needs and flash it using flashtool or flashboot.
As you are using an ICS ROM, any ICS kernel will do. I am myself using Alliance kernel, it has got pretty good battery backup and can be overclocked too.
Previously I was using suave kernel, thats good too, You can try it out yourself, Suave is pretty good as I have been using it on my Neo V since 4-5 months, just today I moved to alliance, which I am pretty much enjoying
Checkout for Alliance and suave in Neo V android development forums
Thanks
I'd like to thanks from my heart everyone who helps me to choose one kernel for ICS Pureness.
Finally, i selected The Alliance Kernel and now i have not any lag on any game...
Thanks so much everuone

The developer would mention your device clearly in his post if your device was supported. As for GB rom, I don't know of any bug free GB rom for the neo l but you can try cm7, check the list of all the roms for it, the list is in the neo android development thread somewhere, search for it.

To answer your question. you can use any xperia play rom as long as its stock based
and neo means the original neo
There 3 phones in neo lineup.
Xperia Neo. Xperia Neo V, Xperia Neo L

Yeah, that is the sad part... Our neo l seems to be that old to benefit kitkat custom roms...
I've found one link at senuke.info/mp3-0/sony-xperia-neo-l-4647.html
not sure if its genuine one
We won't have the authentic kk Rom unless someone compiles a 4.4 kernel first.

The kernel is already compiled, but it needs more fixes in other segments.
