why would you want a sense 2.1 feature in sense 3.0(and I dont think it would be wasy to do anyway, well you could use some market lockscreen replacement)
I think there is an option to to turn off sense 3.0 lock screen

That's only for the incoming call lockscreen. Also, a theme has nothing to do with the lockscreen type. A certain apk file is needed for the sense 2.1 lockscreen.

Yea I have seen that you need an apk file, but can't find it anywhere.
All the questions about wanting to go back to the 2.1 lockscreen... I just prefer the old lockscreen. Also Skyraider is based off 2.1 with some 3.0 features...

This is a Metamorph for a transparent lockscreen that was made by request for a friend. This is intended for a deodexed stock mytouch4G ROM (2.2/2.2.1). This will modify com.htc.resources.apk. Most likely this will crash your system when applied. If not, reboot to see changes. Ive been seeing an error when using metamorph to extract, it does not seem to find the theme file. All files extract and you will be able to apply by selecting "Pick existing theme".
*NOTE* This works when applied using the safari theme (thanks for the feedback). I'll look into modifying other themes... eventually. Requests will be considered.

Hmm I'm using your rom and it worked fine for me.. I extracted it on the computer, put it on my SD in the androidthemes folder, and then went to pick existing theme, apply all.
Has anyone been able to get rid of the lockscreen wallpaper? To show the homescreen? I've tried old methods, but they don't seem to work in sense 2.2 stock or modded roms for the n1

Same here. Running Ice but can't get it to stick. Good idea tho. I like it.
EDIT: Sent .zip to sdcard. Let Metamorph unzip. Still FC's my messengers while applying then nothing.
If you remove the htclockscreen.apk and .odex from your /system you'll get a transparent lockscreen... Albiet with the stock froyo lock but I prefer it anyway

So after trying this, the text on the lock screen doesn't line up correctly. All 3 lines of text, the date, the time & T-mobile all overlap. Is this supposed to be used with any of the lock screen themes or a specific one? Anything else need to be changed to get it to align correctly?

So this is just a transparent slider for the lockscreen?
I'm assuming theres no way to make a fully or semi-transparent wallpaper?
I know most icons are png's, which support transparency, but I'm not sure (and highly doubt) if a transparent png file would retain transparency after being set to be the wallpaper? If I had to guess I would think the file is converted in some way before it is actually applied...
I wonder if there is a way to bypass this and allow for transparencies in the wallpaper?
Though this works, it doesn't look so good since its transparent and the text overlays whatever is on the first screen. It would be nice if the lockscreen background could be honored by the stock froyo lock. Or at the very least, a solid color or black background.

Transparent images won't set correctly, from what I've read about other sense ROMs, you'd have to hexedit the file, changing the color to transparent... don't know if it would even work. There are lockscreen replacements, like lock bot, possibly some others. Wish there where better options... the ROM in general lacks the basics for most things I want to do... which is why I currently run the desire HD port by gr8gorilla. The ROM has been ported to a lot of phones, so there is quite a bit of mods and themes available.
I'm curious what features. Are you referring to stock? Does the desire port have working drivers for everything? I thought FFC (camera) was a problem as well as video playback. Iced is what I'm currently using and its rock solid and can overclock.

Will this ruin the lockscreen as well?
I've removed sense trying to keep the lockscreen and I've had no luck.
Will other lockscreens show who is calling without the sense one?

Thanks man.
I know the real problem with it is that it's missing resource files. (The ring is just a white square, ect, ect.)
I know there is a sense lockscreen for all (Whatever it's called) but I don't think it works as well as the HTC official one. The lockscreen is the only thing keeping me from removing sense completely.
I'd be happy to test the lockscreen if you need help with that.
Great DEV work, btw. Loving the support here.
Ok I added one that has the Sense Lockscreen. Works perfect.

They work on my end, it's dropbox.
I'm getting the "White Boxes" Again.
Took a screen cap.
I'm going to add some APKs to find out which one fixes it.

I'm pretty sure the file that causes the white boxes(missing ring) is Fusion.apk.
Sucks you can't get rid of it too because its like 50megs.

Thats what I was thinking too
Fusion.apk was the correct one. I'm working on trimming it down.
Another problem I see now, How do I edit the lockscreen apps? My "personalize" option doesn't work in the settings.
Any idea what APK controls that?
EDIT:
Here's the trimmed fusion.apk, only 5MB now.
Just need to push it to /system/app

HtcAddProgramWidget.apk is the file that specifically controls the Lockscreen Apps.
Having rosie.apk and no HTCAPW.apk I can access "personalize" but not the lockscreen.
It is a rosie utility but I'm going to see what i can do with it.
With a quick look at the smali files, it seems like this apk is fully integrated into Rosie, not much of a chance to separate it without some heavy modification to basically every file.
I'm not going to expend all my time with this.
It's easier to push rosie.apk, HtcAddProgramWidget.apk change the icons then delete the apks.
I currently have the gingeritis 3d rom. I'm curious if there's a way to remove the shortcut apps on the lockscreen? I like my lockscreens plain jane. Any ideas?
Thanks!
No. Run Gingeritis V1.2.1 if you don't like the Sense 3.0 elements.

um there are quite a few things you could try dont be so quick to tell him he cant without an attempt.. you could go into titanium and freeze the corresponding system data file for the lockscreen (im not sure what exactly it is) or try and find the right apk that runs the lockscreen then pull the one from the old rom that he said to revert to and replace the one thats currently on your phone.

Install this apk and reboot. I am not responsbile for the file. I am on Gingeritis 3D 1.0 as well. This worked for me. Go to themikmik.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=172&t=1047 to give credit to the correct people.
I noticed in all the roms they still have the circles around the shortcuts on the lockscreen is there a way to remove them or is this not possible in Sense 3.5 ? I coming from an EVO 3d and all the roms there had them removed but then again that was Sense 3.0. thanks
There's plenty of Senseless ROMs that do not have the circle lockscreen and there's a desense tool you can use for Sense ROMs.
It's all in the development forum.
I like Sense Roms but just wondering if devs were able to remove the bubbles behind the shortcuts on the lock screen.

The problem is that right now the tools we need to edit m10 files(pretty much a file that contains images) doesn't work for sense 3.5 and up. But when we get new tools it can be done
Sounds good thanks
I know it will take time to develop but I'm looking forward to seeing a TRUE ICS themed rom. Basically aesthetically all stock ICS including settings menu but with the ability to use Sense widgets on the home screen and keeping other benefits such as quick settings etc.

You can install the status bar/settings.apk for AOSP ICS to run on Sense roms. If you want the AOSP lockscreen, just delete Htclockscreen.apk. I've installed the ICS MMS.apk as well.
Have you tried Scott's Senseless 3.6?
I am still able to put widgets on my home screen.

Installing the statusbar/settings.apk DOES NOT REMOVE SENSE.
Long press your home screen, and the HTC widget/personalization menu pops up, allowing you to place HTC WIDGETS still.
I've chosen to delete the Settings.apk out of the .zip and I only have the status bar looking like AOSP ICS. The only caveat I've found, is that when connected to 4g WiMax, the 3G icon goes away, but no 4g icon appears. I'm looking into that ATM.
