OK, so I've been gone for a few days, I bricked my phone when I took out the battery during AMSS burning. It got stuck at about 85-90% done than started lagging. I was trying to switch baseband from v10e to v20g to use with openoptimus. Now I'm on 2.2.2, I just got root with gingerbreak. Time to flash cwm recovery and try with fresh downloads of the 7z packaged zips..

Well I have an original backup of stock 2.2.2. If anyone ever wants it..the phone says v10s so do I need to go to v10e than v20g or is it safe to just flash v20g...the last time I did this the software got stuck on AMSS burning. I had flashed basebands b4 and the whole process took no more than 10 minutes...I know I wasn't suppoe to take out battery during AMSS burning in emergency mode but I got frustrated with how long it was taking..maybe I had a corrupted v20g 7z file?
Sent from my LG-P509 using xda premium
the process only took 3.29 minutes and i do this process like once every week as i am fond of trying new roms.. and mate i suggest you should flash v20g again.. i guess the v20g is not flahed correctly as you removed the battery at 85% that will probably solve your issue and yeah have patience while doing these risky tricks and mods otherwise you will be a owner of a bricked phone and every one will laugh at you

I had bricked my LG OPTIMUS T P509 earlier and was stuck in a never ending loop of LG boot.
Eventually realized i had a bricked phone.
Decided to play around and found KDZ Updater.
After much research and googleing i found the kdz file for the LG OPTIMUS P509 and was able to flash the phone back to Stock again.
It will recovery in Android Recovery 3E and you just do a battery pull and it will boot again.
Will take awhile to boot up but after it does your phone is back with everything stock.
Strangely nothing was erased keeping all my apps intact.
Only downfall, root was lost.
Do you have the link for the stock kdz for the Optimus T? I've been looking but I can't find it.
Same here

Hello All,
Anyone having issues with their Dell Streak where the three lights randomly flash 4 or 5 times and then goes black for a few minutes? I just rooted my phone and am now running into this issue!!
Thoughts or recommendations on how to stop this!! It is quite frustrating.
If you would search you'll find several solutions..
It's most likely something to do with flashing an incorrect recovery

What Should I Search On?
I have yet to find any solution to this problem. If anyone can point me to a direction to search, I would appreciate it.
This happened to me couple of times.
As far as I know this is because you have incompatible versions of baseband and ROM. This should not happen after rooting or flashing only recovery. But It happens if you flash new ROM, and leave old baseband, for example new StreakDroid requires you to update baseband
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=909263
I think (I'm no expert), that official updates through Update.pkg flash both ROM and compatible baseband (amss.mbn). But if you flash only ROM through upgrade.zip file, it will flash only ROM and leave baseband alone, and thus you can end up having incompatible versions.
Depending what do you want to flash, you can use Update.pkg and it should fix the problem (lots of them here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=805112)
Or if you want to flash custom ROM through .zip file, make sure you have proper baseband.
Just qdl it and let it reflash both the rom and bb for u. No flashing capacitive lights.

On a scale of 1 - 10, how would you rate success after your phone has been bricked? I'm stuck at recovery mode after wiping my system clean my phone doesn't boot up. Before I purchase another phone, btw I haven't even had the phone for 3 weeks, anyway can it be fixed? I would hate to have just thrown nearly $200 away and waste more money if the problem can be resolved...
This is simple, BECAUSE you wiped the system, the phone won't boot up, it's perfect sense. You just need to flash a ROM or use KDZ to get your phone back to life again
thanks I just needed to make sure
Glad to help
Remember to flash PROPERLY. I bricked my phone thrice by using kdz

Custom rom. Reccomend CM7 or openOptimus.

I finally bricked my first phone. Its been a long ride but it caught up to me. I have had three different android phones within about 4 years and have successfully rooted all three myself and have successfully flashed them over and over close to 1000 times between all three phones including modems, kernals, gapps, themes etc. So what gives? Why today? To be honest I don't know. But here is what happened...
The past few days I have been going back and forth between different kernals for this device to try to get something that won't freeze up. ( I liked browsing on this phone but I would get freeze ups and therefore would flash something new to try and resolve it.) Today my phone froze so I tried a simple reboot. The boot then did a freeze on the kernal's "intro" picture. It wasn't a bootloop it just frooze. (I was on XWLPT with Skyfire Kernal). I decided to reboot into recovery and flash a different kernel. I flashed NEAK The flash went halfway then stuck and froze. I rebooted to try to get back to the phone's main screen. This time it would not boot. I couldn't tell if it was in bootloop or was froze. I went back into recovery. Here I should of wiped everything but in the back of my mind I thought I could just do it in odin if I lost recovery. So I tried flashing Siyah for sammy roms. This is when I lost everything. It froze in cmw on the flash again but this time when I tried going back into recovery it stayed on the Galaxy SII screen. So I put the phone in download mode and started Odin up. When trying to flash anything in Odin I got stuck on nand write start! I never heard of this. I thought Odin would work as this is how I rooted the phone when I first got it. Last thing I did was install kies which couldn't even connect to the phone. So all I am left with is download mode and taking way more caution when flashing. I think it may have been a case of the brickbug. Even though I was on a I9100 rom and using "safe" kernels I believe something happened to lock me out from writing anything to the phone.
U already posted this in another thread. I posted a response there for ya

Pics stock is when you're typing and not paying attention then the auto complete changes pics stocks to pics stock. Got it?
Revert to stock using Odin and download mode probably or the guys and (sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings) but the guys at mobile tech videos offer a service to unbrick your phone.

Yeah I know . But its just a front man! They receive the bricked device, then send it to some Chinaman named Finchenzo. And he fixes em all and sends em back to mobile tech! Then you get your device back! Poor Finchenzo

Send it to MobileTechVideo.com. I sent my bricked SG2 in and a week later and at a cost of only $50, it was returned fully functional.
Sent it to MTV. Mobile Tech Video said this...The device's onboard EMMC controller was in a non-responsive state.
I never flashed anything that wasn't specifically made to be flashed for an i777.
Everything I had ever flashed was on the i777 development thread.
My advice ...beware of the brickbug. Also don't flash anything when the phone is hot. This happened when my phone was hot and maybe a reason why it froze while flashing in cwm.
And for a recap... What did you flash right before tie happened and what were you coming from?

Specifically the rom booted fine with Shostock-XWLPT. When using the rom sometimes it would freeze up so I flashed NEAK kernal over it. Froze in cmw during halfway through the flash.Rebooted after about 5 minutes wating for cmw to finish. (it never did) Phone bootlooped. Pressed hardbuttons to get to recovery. Recovery worked went into NEAK cwm. Instead of wiping and starting fresh here decided I would take a shortcut and flashed a Siyah for i777 over that. CWM froze again halfway through flashing the Siyah. After waiting 5 minutes again decided to reboot. Phone bootlooped. No more hardbutton recovery. Phone bricked. I Can still go into download mode but even MTV could not unbrick it. Said EMMC controller was in unresponsive state. Don't know what that means but know its now a paperweight.
Got it back today I still can get into download mode. Odin will recognize phone. When I try to flash a kernal it follows through until right before it actually writes and says NAND Write Start. I believe the internal memory either is filled with bad sectors or someting like brickbug locked anything from writing to EMMC.
Okay I have seen loots of threads saying that my device got bricked and so on, well my X10 was working fine until I loaned it to a friend, I noticed that the phone would remove the kernel all by itself apparently if I remember correctly, then at one point I mistakenly in recovery formated every single partition, now idk if issue came after that but phone now every single time you try to turn it on it just vibrates once and the after 5sec it starts to vibrate and doesn't stop, it also foes this if you put it to charge after a min or so, also when you plug the phone up to a pc it always is in fastboot without even pressing the back button, now I found another thread from 2010 (dont have link cause im writing from phone) that you must root and downgrade all the way back down to 1.6, but all the files in that thread were hosted in places where the us took down the sites, so I tried using flashtool to flash the original ftf of AT&T 1.6 that shipped with phone and it finishes flashing but it stays with the same issue. Can someone help or is my first android phone dead? Thanks in advance.

hmm.. You can try some things.. on your risk
Charge your phone.
1. Flash X10_aZuZu_Kernel_Downgrade_Generic.ftf
Try to boot. If ok, flash 2.3.3 stock firmware
Or
2. Hotmail is dead.. so you may use this
Old SEUS and others files you can download from my link.
For example, use "UK Generic X10i Firmware (R1FA016)"
Or Working ftf file with Android 1.6 for XPERIA X10
P.S. I'll sent for you PM with key
