Okay I have seen loots of threads saying that my device got bricked and so on, well my X10 was working fine until I loaned it to a friend, I noticed that the phone would remove the kernel all by itself apparently if I remember correctly, then at one point I mistakenly in recovery formated every single partition, now idk if issue came after that but phone now every single time you try to turn it on it just vibrates once and the after 5sec it starts to vibrate and doesn't stop, it also foes this if you put it to charge after a min or so, also when you plug the phone up to a pc it always is in fastboot without even pressing the back button, now I found another thread from 2010 (dont have link cause im writing from phone) that you must root and downgrade all the way back down to 1.6, but all the files in that thread were hosted in places where the us took down the sites, so I tried using flashtool to flash the original ftf of AT&T 1.6 that shipped with phone and it finishes flashing but it stays with the same issue. Can someone help or is my first android phone dead? Thanks in advance.

hmm.. You can try some things.. on your risk
Charge your phone.
1. Flash X10_aZuZu_Kernel_Downgrade_Generic.ftf
Try to boot. If ok, flash 2.3.3 stock firmware
Or
2. Hotmail is dead.. so you may use this
Old SEUS and others files you can download from my link.
For example, use "UK Generic X10i Firmware (R1FA016)"
Or Working ftf file with Android 1.6 for XPERIA X10
P.S. I'll sent for you PM with key

Yes it can be done. Just keep the back key pressed while inserting usb cable when the phone is off. Takes a few tries. Took me one and a half hr to get it into flash mode the first time.

Flashin
i managed to load a rom with the new baseband and it works fine until i reboot and then i get errors from gallery, market, settings etc but programs i installed from my backup are fine. I went to xrecovery and selected fix perm but it didn't help.
To all that replied to my 1st post, i say thank you.
run the sesus attaching your phone one time. it will install necessary driver. after that whenever you try to flash, when the system will asking for connect the fone,u need to turn off the fone & holding the back button, connect the fone.green led will be on.& you are on flash mode....
My x10 is stuck in a boot loop after I flashed the ROM.
How do i stop this from happening? I really like the look of the ROM over my current one.
Please help.
EDIT: Managed to get freex10 ROM running. So I have a useable phone now.
flash baseband which is included in the package and you should be fine
what bb are you using?

Same Issue I think
I think I am having the same issue but when my x10 boots it goes to unlock screen and then I have this loop with "The application ADW.Launcher(process.android.acore) has stopped unexpectedly. The device then flashes the Cynogen loading screen and goes back to the unlock screen where I get the same message and the same loop. My xrecovery doesnt work and I cant seem to get the phone to use the SE update manager because it also says its up to date and doesnt provide a repair option. Can anyone help with this? I dont care which android os I go to at this point as long as it will work.
You probably need to use flashtool to flash the .52 baseband fix. Unless you have .52 already.
If that doesnt work, try flashing 2.1 totally over again with flashtool.

Can someone link me a guide as to how to flash the ROM with flash tool?
I flashed the baseband with it but I used xrecovery for the ROM itself because I could not work out how to use the flash tool.
I'll try reflashing the baseband when I get home tonight.

To get out of the bootloop just flash back to 2.1 and start over again. And make sure to follow the instalation instructions given by the dev when flashing the rom.
I still can't work it out.
The ROM is in a .zip file and the flash tool doesent seem to be picking it
up and when I unzip it there are no selectable files.

The file you use in flashtool is an .ftf file
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
Then what do I do with a .zip?
yes, you DO flash the .zip file with xrecovery. step one, flash bb with flashtool, step two, start phone in xrecovery and flash .zip, reboot, and it should work.

first try SEUS that comes on your ROM( left click SE icon in 'my computer' install) if that one doesn't work, uninstall and install SEUS from SE site, but one of them will say 'repair'

Yeah, that's what I did the first time.
I just tried it again. Same problem.
Phone turns on, boots, sits on home screen for a few seconds then restarts.
Why would this happen?
EDIT: I managed to check the baseband version int he few seconds the phone was on, it says it is unknown. Would this cause this problem?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343
The ftf files you need are on the second post. Just put the ftf file in the firmware section of the flashtool then flash it and follow the on screen instructions.
With baseband unknown go to the app on your phone called dev tools then go to bad behaviour and crash system sever when the phone reboots you should have signal and baseband will no longer be unkown.
I tried that, It keeps telling me I have my old Cyanogen mod for 2.2 installed when I do it.
In the process of running SEUS, hopefully it puts me back to 2.1

No, i dont think that is the cause of the rebooting cause ii get that a lot but the phone never reboots on me, what kernel are you on. Cause a lot of the custom kernels reboot when the screen is off or when you have the cpu up too high.
Guys im freeeaakiin ouut my phone isnt charging anymore wtf??
What i did is install the new firmware whit the baseband .67 and then i moved on whit wolfbreak v006 and the tw patch and i saw that it wasnt charging so i just simply rebooted didnt help then i tried another wall didnt work tried my pc it still didnt work then i went back onto the new firmware and still couldnt charge?!?! I think im gonna have to buy a new extended battery ? But i know my usb port isnt broken it was working all good before that :'( pleease help asap i ran out of charge actually what it does is when i plug in it boot up for a second it then just shut down and it keeps doing it over and over ?!?!!?
I think I know you've done...you may have actually deleted(full wipe) everything via xrecovery,
I did that once and it kept doing what you described.
Just connect to Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS)and reinstall firmware.

flash bb .54 first, wipe in xrecovery, after that reinstall Wolfbreak TW7.
if it can not fix your problem, try to using another charger (with the same micro usb port like original charger).
hope this help
Never mind. Just repaired everything.

Just leave it connected on wall charger for about 45 minutes coz you'll probably know SEUS won't do anything if battery is below 50%. Then do what I said.
I reckon it IS still charging, so even though it keeps rebooting it should still charge.
Finally after leaving on charge you'll need to pull the battery out to turn phone off. Then connect to SEUS in flash mode like normal.
Worth a try, like I said I had something familiar.

He ran his battery down completely and then freaked out cuz it would not switch on.
But if you just leave the phone charging for a hour it will charge and it will switch on.
Not really.. I've actually just tried what he did. I tried to flash bb67, and got a bootloop as he did. I'm using wolfbreaks Rom and it doesn't load up the Rom.
I fixed it by pulling the battery out and then reflashing bb49 which was what I was on before.
Confused..is anyone else managed to get bb67 on wolfbreaks?

after that i got the firmware in, unlocked the phone.
after that if i insert a simcard it will enter in a bootloop, even if the phone detect the signal and makes a call, after a few mins it will crash and bootloop
any idea of what its happening?
I used to think Asa was a rare name and suddenly there are 3 ppl on this forum with that name myself included lmao
Something most likely got messed up when the cord fell of, have you tried recovery through SEUS? If that doesn't work use flash tool to flash the appropriate firmware.

Oh ok, from an anime i suppose?
Well the custom firmware still uses some elements of the stock. So if the custom doesn't overwrite an area that was messed up with it's own configurations you'd still be gimped. So reflashing stock or repair should fix it up for you.

no everytime i reflash the stock firmware it kills the xrecovery.
anyways now it "works" stlll having problems with the calls, i made a call and it rebooted and to get the phone working i had to remove the sim card.
and after the first call with the other simcard which im using to test the phone, it doesnt get signal anymore...
atleast it "works" but since the phone its for my gf... i want it atleast stable on reboots hehehe

Hi,
As of yesterday, just out of nowhere, my Xpiria mini started randomly rebooting itself in a loop...at first it happened once every few hours and then the phone went back to normal, but now it just happens non-stop, and i can't use the phone at all!
some background:
my phone was rooted and the bootloader unlocked, as a result of solving an overheating issue a few months ago..
so, at first i thought that maybe upgrading the software will solve the rebooting problem, but i couldn't install the upgrade version...i guess because i already messed with the phone in the past it won't let me upgrade it in a "normal" way (tried via pc-companion and via the phone itself).
anyway, i guess i have 2 questions...1. how do i solve the rebooting problem? 2. how do i upgrade the software?
(i don't know much about phones etc, so if you could give me a detailed step-by-step explanation it would be great, and would save many of my stupid questions
please help, my phone is completely useless at the moment...

Did everything the guides said, upgraded to ICS which works great, with one "little" problem- the phone only works when connected to charger/pc...
the moment i disconnect it (even when fully charged) the screen goes black and nothing works...it vibrates once when pressing the power button, like it's turning on, but nothing happens...

Are you really sure the battery is okay? Maybe this is the reason? Because if it's bricked up (it=the battery) you can only boot when the usb cable is inserted and you won't get any other reactions...
Maybe you can try another one from a friend and report?
